They were able to get me scheduled quickly, and were very thorough and detailed with evaluating the current state of my car. I received a link via text to a detailed checklist which went through all the systems, complete with pictures. After reviewing and discussing, I was able to authorize an estimate of all of the services and repairs online. It was also nice to have after hours drop off and pickup availability. And I was most relieved that they were able to resolve some AC performance issues that my previous mechanic worked on for the last three summers. Overall, they were impressively organized and thorough, and I definitely plan on leaving my car in the hands of these fellow Honda enthusiasts next time I need work done.

As the same goes, “Happy wife, happy life.“ My wife had a problem with her Honda van. We had taken it somewhere else and they did not fix the problem. I called up HonDoctor and they scheduled me to come in and fixed it within one day. My wife was beaming ear to ear. She was happy that she got her van back again working properly. The people at HonDoctor were knowledgeable, efficient, positive and friendly. They gave me the confidence that they knew what they were doing. We will definitely bring our Honda to them next time.

I’ve thought carefully about how to approach this review, and I want to share our experience honestly. We brought our Honda a few weeks ago in March for a wheel bearing replacement. During the inspection, additional repairs were suggested — including a solenoid replacement I wasn’t aware was necessary. Some recommendations I declined because they didn’t align with why we brought the vehicle in. While I appreciate thoroughness, our primary request was clear: replace the wheel bearing. Initially, I was told the noise was likely a tire issue — which didn’t align with my experience. I had to push for a second road test. Anyone familiar with bad wheel bearings knows that noise. Ultimately, the bearing was replaced, and the noise is gone. The car was in the shop for three days, largely due to the solenoid being the wrong part. While inconvenient, mistakes happen, and we appreciated the discount provided for the delay. Unfortunately, this is where any positives end. About a week later, my wife — who drives this car daily on the interstate — mentioned an unusual vibration and noise. At first, it was intermittent and couldn't be tracked down but quickly became louder and more concerning. The day before we planned to take it back in to have these guys look at it, I happened to check the wheels to see if I could see any noticeable issues. What I found was shocking. The rear passenger tire was missing two lug nuts. The front passenger tire was missing one. I checked the remaining lugs and found several loose. The next morning, I tightened what I could and took it to our trusted mechanic. They found the rear driver’s side lugs were so loose the wheel was close to coming off — described as “finger tight.” The only properly secured wheel was the front driver’s side. Three out of four wheels were improperly secured. This isn’t a minor oversight — it’s a critical safety failure. Had a wheel come off while my wife was driving at highway speeds, this could have ended in tragedy, and we'd be having a very different conversation. For clarity: this car was not serviced anywhere else between your shop and the discovery of this issue. Fortunately, no damage was found to the rims or studs. But given the severity of this mistake, we won’t be returning. This was our first visit — and it will be our last. We didn’t call directly because there’s nothing a conversation would change at this point. No discount, apology, or explanation undoes the danger this presented. My only hope is that this review encourages greater care and attention to detail in future work. Wheel lug torque is basic, critical, and non-negotiable. And I shouldn't have to double check your work. EDIT TO ADD TO REVIEW WITH RESPONSE 09 APRIL: Regarding the username — using a screen name for the internet is common. It doesn’t discredit the very real experience we had. Now, you claim that we were told of a missing front lug nut and that I declined it — that is simply false. There is no mention of it in your inspection report, in any text, or in either of our phone calls. And let’s apply some basic logic: why would I approve an expensive wheel bearing replacement but decline a lug nut — one of the cheapest and most critical safety items on a car? That detail being added here — after the fact — feels like a transparent attempt to save face. And frankly, that alone justifies why we didn’t return. Mistakes happen. Dishonesty afterward is something else entirely. As for the loose wheels — three out of four were dangerously loose, including ones you claim you never touched. That’s not coincidence. That’s carelessness. And it didn’t happen anywhere else. You state you want us to have a safe vehicle to drive, then maybe put the wheels back together as they should be. It’s regrettable we trusted your shop at all — but your response here only confirms we made the right decision not to again.

Highly recommend!!! I called on a Monday. Dropped it off that evening. I had my car back by Wednesday and that’s only because they had to wait on my tires to arrive. I was sent a text that they had figured out the problem by 9am on Tuesday. I had already taken my Acura elsewhere and they told me they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. This was the easiest process and quickest service I have ever had with a mechanic! My car drives like it’s brand new!! You won’t regret using HonDoctor! Give them a call, I promise you’ll be impressed!!!
