High tech machine shop

The owner Noah might be good with some stuff but don’t hire him to extract a broken screw out of your engine he offered to come to my home to extract a broken screw from the water pump first off he couldn’t get it out so he drilled it all out and retreated it after we put the new water pump the screw hole he retreaded was crooked and no matter what we do we can’t get it to go in I called him he said he would come check it out and has never showed up I tried calling him several times and he says he’s going to come I wait around for him just so he don’t show he’s just blown me off it’s been months know and he won’t return a call looks like I’m screwed I wouldn’t recommend him if he was the last machine shop in the high desert and I’m not the type of person to go make a review ever but after this experience I felt like I can’t let this happen to any one else so every one that has a good experience with him god must have been with you because what he’s done to me is unbelievable so beware if he messes something up you will be screwed as well thanks Noah for the great job

I called in and got a quote to surface of flywheel on a Honda Civic . I was installing a newly purchased JDM engine, and while I was taking the first engine apart, I noticed the flywheel had a glazed over, polished clutch mating surface and was developing minor stress cracks.I was quoted $50, since it was closer than Napa in Apple Valley ( Who I have used in the past and have done great work) It was10 dollars cheaper And only 13 minutes away from the houseI decided to give them a shot. I drove in at 10 am And I was told it would be one hour or so no problem. I spoke to the owner son about rebuilding an engine and what it would cost, and he proceeded to preach about quality of service and quality of parts. That they use versus the economy, parts that others do because they take pride in their Work. I waited all day and at 2:50 in the afternoon I called them to check in on it. I was told that they had not done it yet. And I told them Had I known I would’ve went elsewhere where I know the work can be done. He proceeded to say that he was gonna have his father do it and I’ve cut rotors before so I know what I’m looking At. He calls me up no more than 15 minutes later and says that the flywheel is done.. At which point I ask him was it done correctly because I know that if you rush through these things The cut is choppy and not precise. I then asked them OK 50 bucks then right and then he said no it’s gonna be 75 because. We had to cut it twice. And then I think to cut it twice in less than 15 minutes that’s sketchy.. So I said OK fine I’ll talk to you when I get there. I drive over and I look at the flywheel.. Lo and behold, just as I thought you can see grooves from the cutter, and you can literally fill them with your Fingernail. And I told him and I started questioning him. That was this rushed through. If it was, it’s not gonna work it’s gonna have a choppy shot shocked to the clutch.. The father came over and started dropping F bombs and insulting. I should not have paid him, but I paid him the extra $25 on top of the 50 he quoted me On one hand, I’m glad that $75 was what it took for me to know not to bring these people my engines Or any work . I suggest that even if you’re gonna pay a little more else elsewhere, you might get a little better service. And a little better customer service and communication skills. I highly suggest you do not use this place. Thankfully, 75 is all I lost. I could’ve bought a brand new flywheel for $109. Or went and Use Napa’s machine shop service where I know they do quality work. Here I spent $15 more than Napa got Crappy work and crappy your service use at your own risk.
