Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts Introduce

Welcome to Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts, an auto parts store located at 63 OH-101, Tiffin, OH 44883, USA. Operating within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations (which includes businesses selling automotive parts and related goods), Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts can be contacted at (419) 447-7041 or via their mobile number +1 419-447-7041. Based on the available customer reviews, it appears that this business not only sells auto and truck parts but may also be involved in recycling or purchasing scrap metal, which led to one negative customer experience.

Information regarding the physical environment of Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts is somewhat limited but can be inferred. As an auto and truck parts store, it likely features a retail area with shelves and displays showcasing various automotive components, accessories, and supplies. There would typically be a service counter where customers can inquire about parts availability, place orders, and complete transactions. Given the mention of scrap metal and recycling in one of the reviews, the premises might also include an outdoor or separate area for handling and processing these materials. The environment could range from a straightforward parts retail space to one that also accommodates the operations of a scrap yard or recycling center. The contrasting customer experiences suggest that different areas or interactions within the business might lead to varying perceptions of the environment and service.

The services and products offered by Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts, based on the limited customer feedback, seem to include:

  • Sale of auto and truck parts: The name of the business explicitly indicates the sale of parts for both cars and trucks. One positive review mentions the successful purchase of a specific wheel for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, indicating they can source and supply various types of automotive parts.
  • Potentially, the sale of new and used parts: While not explicitly stated, auto parts stores often carry both new and used components to cater to different customer needs and budgets. The positive review about a wheel purchase doesn't specify if it was new or used.
  • Shipping of parts: The positive review notes that the ordered wheel was sent out and received the next day, indicating they offer shipping services for customers who may not be local or require delivery.
  • Recycling or purchasing of scrap metal: The negative review details an interaction involving the sale of aluminum cans, suggesting that the business may also operate as a recycling center or purchase scrap metal from the public. This aspect of their operation led to a highly negative experience for one customer.

The features of Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts, as perceived through the lens of the two contrasting customer reviews, present a mixed picture:

  • Wide range of parts (implied): The name suggests a comprehensive inventory for both cars and trucks, though this is only partially confirmed by the successful wheel purchase.
  • Ability to source specific parts: The positive review highlights their ability to find and ship a specific wheel for a particular vehicle model, even fulfilling the order quickly.
  • Competitive pricing (implied): The positive reviewer mentioned a "great price," suggesting that their parts may be competitively priced, at least in some instances.
  • Potentially rude or unprofessional customer service: The negative review strongly criticizes the rudeness of an employee during a transaction related to recycling, including making derogatory comments about the customer's workplace. This raises significant concerns about the consistency of their customer service.
  • Questionable business practices (alleged): The negative reviewer accuses the business of being a "thief" due to a deduction in payment for allegedly non-aluminum cans and the rude behavior. While this is one customer's perspective, it is a serious accusation that potential customers should be aware of.
  • Inconsistent service quality: The stark contrast between the two reviews suggests that the quality of service and customer interactions may vary significantly depending on the situation or the specific transaction (e.g., parts purchase versus scrap metal sale).

Currently, there is no information available regarding any specific promotional offers or discounts at Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts. Auto parts stores sometimes offer sales on specific parts, seasonal discounts, or special offers for certain customer groups. However, the provided reviews do not mention any such promotions. Local users interested in potential deals should contact the store directly or inquire about any loyalty programs or discounts that might be available.

In conclusion, Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts in Tiffin, OH, operates as an auto parts store for both cars and trucks and may also be involved in recycling or purchasing scrap metal. While one customer reported a positive experience with finding a specific part at a great price and receiving prompt service, another customer had a severely negative experience related to a scrap metal transaction, citing rudeness and questionable business practices. This stark contrast in customer feedback suggests that the quality of service and customer interactions at Hi Way 101 Auto & Truck Parts may be inconsistent. Local users in Tiffin seeking auto or truck parts may find what they need there, as indicated by the positive review. However, they should also be aware of the serious allegations made in the negative review regarding customer treatment, particularly in transactions beyond standard parts sales. It would be prudent for potential customers to exercise caution and perhaps seek clarification on policies and procedures, especially if they intend to engage in services beyond purchasing auto parts. Contacting the store directly at (419) 447-7041 might provide further insight into their current offerings and customer service approach.

Not only did he took $7 off the amount for couple steel cans that didn’t know was in the bag but yet started making rude comments about our work place where they came from!! Avoid coming here! Not only are they a thief there rude as hell! Maybe I should come and throw some mud on your floors!!

Excellent salvage yard. This was my first time there and the staff was friendly and willing to work with you for your needs. I own a repair shop and will continue to do business with them even though they are 90 minutes away.

When I walked in Owner asked me, "What do you whant?" And just looked at me. Lol. I kept cool and explained we had talked over the phone and I just drove 3hrs to pickup the part he promised to put on hold for me. Seems no one could find it for a while because it was never put on hold. Thankfully it was still there, but then he informed ne that it would be more than we had agreed over the phone. I politely reminded him that we had agreed on a price earlier that day and that I drove 3hrs to buy it. Owner started to get heated and curse words starting getting more and more frequent. I never spoke harsh or used any string language at any point I was there or over the phone. (He just seemed to be having a bad day already and somehow I was making it worse... after trying to talk through it cooly for another few minutes and he started getting so loud akd swaring while telling me why it would have to be higher then the agreed price, so much that a couple times everyone in the business stoped and looked over to see why he was starting to yell at me. It only seemed to be getting worse so I explained that I did want the part and I did like the agreed price... that I was happy to drive 3hrs to buy it... But I wasn't trying to make his day worse... I thanked him for his time and left before things got more out of hand. I am not from the area so maybe he's not always that way, but I was disappointed to spend 6hrs in the truck and spending time and fuel, then find out I should have brought mpre money then the agreed price. The agreed price was cheaper than anyone else... but it ended up being more, so it was a dry run in the end. Businesses seems to have good parts but unsure if their customer service is always that poor. I don't know if the clerks act that way, they seemed nicer, but when the owner treats you that way... it doesn't leave much choice. I felt the situation was escalating on its own and I just came to buy a product not to fight. I'm a christian man and have never threatened or cursed anyone since I got my heart right with God.. so this is not a revenge review. Its been a few months now since this happened and I just felt I should be honest and share my experance. But If I knew things changed, I would try doing business in the future.
