Heritage Truck Equipment Introduce
While the user prompt refers to "Heritage Truck Equipment" as an "auto parts store" and places it within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, publicly available information indicates that Heritage Truck Equipment primarily operates as a specialized manufacturer and installation center for truck bodies and heavy-duty equipment, rather than a general auto parts store or a typical auto repair station for passenger cars. Instead, it serves the heavy-duty commercial vehicle sector, providing essential equipment and associated services. This introduction will detail their offerings within this specialized context, aiming to provide local users, particularly those in the commercial and industrial sectors, with an objective overview of their environment, services, features, and promotional information.
Heritage Truck Equipment's operations, especially in Hartville, Ohio, and other locations, are characterized by facilities designed for heavy fabrication, assembly, and installation. These are not typical auto repair shop environments but rather industrial spaces equipped to handle large commercial vehicles and heavy components. One can infer the following about their environment:
- Large Manufacturing and Assembly Bays: Extensive indoor spaces with high ceilings and wide entry points to accommodate large truck chassis and bodies.
- Specialized Fabrication Equipment: Including welding stations for steel and aluminum, metal cutting machinery, and possibly CNC equipment for precise component manufacturing.
- Overhead Cranes and Heavy Lifts: Essential for moving and mounting heavy truck bodies and equipment onto chassis.
- Dedicated Installation Areas: Where truck bodies, hoists, and other specialized equipment are professionally mounted and integrated onto customer vehicles.
- Parts and Component Storage: A large inventory area for raw materials (steel, aluminum), manufactured components, and various truck equipment parts (hydraulics, electrical systems for bodies).
- Service Facility: In addition to manufacturing, they maintain a service facility for repairs and troubleshooting related to the truck bodies and systems they produce and install.
- Professional Office and Sales Area: A designated space for sales consultations, customer service, and project management, catering to commercial clients.
The environment is geared towards robust industrial operations, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and precision in the construction and integration of heavy-duty truck equipment.
Heritage Truck Equipment primarily specializes in the manufacturing, sales, and installation of various truck bodies and equipment for commercial and industrial applications. Their offerings are highly specialized and distinct from general car repair or auto parts retail. Key services and products include:
- Custom Dump Truck Body Manufacturing: A core offering includes the design and fabrication of high-quality steel and aluminum dump truck bodies. These are custom-built to exact specifications and hauling needs, catering to industries like construction, mining, and aggregates.
- Roll-Off Cable Hoist Systems: Manufacturing and installing heavy-duty roll-off cable hoists with capacities typically ranging from 60,000 lbs. to 75,000 lbs., designed for versatile hauling applications.
- Service Bodies: Creating and installing specialized service bodies for light to heavy-duty trucks, including custom service vans and bodies for various industries, often incorporating integrated power systems (like EnPak) and lube skids.
- Truck Upfitting: This involves the comprehensive customization and outfitting of truck chassis with specialized bodies and equipment to meet specific operational requirements. This can range from installing lighting and tarp systems to more complex hydraulic and pneumatic integrations.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Providing professional and timely repair services for Heritage dump bodies, roll-offs, and their accompanying mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems/components. This includes field service technicians who can travel to various locations for repairs.
- Parts Sales: While not a general "auto parts store" for consumer vehicles, they would sell specialized parts and components related to the truck bodies and equipment they manufacture and service. This might include parts for hydraulic systems, tarp systems, lighting, and other body-specific components.
- Refurbishment and Customization: Offering services to refurbish existing truck bodies and equipment, as well as providing custom solutions for unique fleet needs, from one-off builds to entire fleet customizations.
Their focus is distinctly on the commercial truck sector, providing purpose-built solutions rather than general vehicle repairs.
Heritage Truck Equipment's distinct features stem from its specialized focus and commitment to the heavy-duty equipment industry:
- Specialization in Truck Bodies & Equipment: Their deep expertise lies in the design, manufacturing, and installation of durable and custom truck bodies, particularly dump bodies and roll-off systems. This is a highly specialized niche requiring specific engineering and fabrication skills.
- High-Quality Components and Craftsmanship: They emphasize using only the highest quality components and time-tested techniques, aiming to build premium products that withstand the rigors of commercial use.
- Customization and Engineering Capabilities: The ability to design and build custom solutions to exact customer specifications, from concept to fabrication, is a significant feature. This includes engineering expertise to create custom service vans and truck beds.
- Large-Scale Production: As one of the country's largest dump body manufacturers, they have the capacity to handle significant orders, from single custom builds to fleet customizations.
- Dedicated Service and Support: Beyond sales and installation, they offer ongoing service, troubleshooting, and warranty support for their products, including field service technicians for remote repairs.
- Commitment to Customer Needs: They emphasize understanding customer needs to increase efficiency and reduce downtime and costs for their partners, highlighting a strong client-focused approach.
Heritage Truck Equipment's promotional activities are primarily geared towards commercial and industrial clients, focusing on showcasing their manufacturing capabilities, product quality, and customer-centric approach. While not typically consumer-facing, their strategies include:
- Industry-Specific Marketing: Promoting their products and services through trade shows, industry publications, and online platforms targeting construction, mining, municipal, and fleet management sectors.
- Website and Digital Presence: Maintaining a professional website showcasing their product lines (e.g., aluminum and steel dump bodies, roll-off hoists), capabilities, and contact information. They also feature video galleries of their products in action.
- Customer Testimonials and Case Studies: Highlighting positive feedback from fleet managers and businesses that have benefited from their products, emphasizing increased efficiency and reduced downtime.
- Direct Sales and Consultations: Employing a dedicated sales team (e.g., Eric Bontrager, Al Brine, Pete Jaslowski) who work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- After-Sales Service and Warranty Support: Promoting their commitment to service and warranty support as a key differentiator, providing peace of mind to commercial buyers investing in significant equipment.
- Partnerships and Dealer Networks: Collaborating with truck dealerships and other industry partners to expand their reach and offer integrated solutions.
- Job Recruitment and Benefits: Actively recruiting skilled tradespeople (e.g., Truck Upfit Technicians, Field Service Technicians) and promoting competitive benefits packages, which indirectly showcases a stable and growing company.
In essence, Heritage Truck Equipment operates as a highly specialized and robust provider of truck bodies and heavy-duty equipment, serving the commercial sector with custom solutions, quality manufacturing, and dedicated support, rather than functioning as a traditional "auto parts store" or general car repair station for the public.

Heritage Truck Equipment Customer Reviews
Truck transporters beware. I arrived on-site, first time ever, about 3 p.m. After finding the front office, talking to one of the ladies, getting copies of additional paperwork, and she physically walking with me to find Randy Foley, the QC Supv., as I was told; he refused to look at the truck for check-in. His reasoning was that I was 2 minutes past his personal deadline in finding him. Therefore, I was forced to stay the entire weekend awaiting his signature. Some may say Randy's an exemplary employee. However, I personally will decline any future trips to 661 Powell in Hartville, OH. Randy's demeanor and lack of regard for my time and otherwise displayed clearly that he lacks the professionalism and common sense for dealing with people in our capacity.

They built my brand new Peterbilt dump truck with the wrong hoist. It’s too long and the body goes straight up in the air and then gets stuck and won’t come down because the weight of the body is pulling back. I need to pull forward and slam the brakes to get it to come down or sometimes even push it down with a piece of equipment. It has been like this since day one and for two years now they said they would send me the correct hoist and I have not gotten anything. I would not recommend them because they do not stand behind there product.

Have never dealt with this company but live close to it and we will be visiting soon to settle some finances. OUR PAYPAL was hacked for just over $3900 a Few months ago and the package was delivered to this facility and signed for at the dock according to the tracking PayPal provided. We have a name for the person who signed. Also the package was only 1.7 pounds!!! What the heck weighs that little for almost $4000???? Maybe a ring or hefty bracelet for someone's sweetheart?! Hmmmm Further investigation is in process.
