I went in for their $37 DMV Registration Inspection. They told me I needed my front two tires replaced or I would fail the inspection and forfeit the $37. They then quoted $90 for the replacement. A little backstory here: My rear driver side tire is leaking and has gone flat twice this week alone. My front two tires, however, are less than two years old. It was either pay up and let them take my good tires (which they'll probably just sell to someone else using the same scam) or forfeit the $37 and go somewhere else. I was pressed for time, took the former, and left with three (3) different tread/brand of tires on my car and $140 less in my wallet. They didn't even have the courtesy to fill the used tires to 34 psi.
