I've used HALT for 20+ years and I always recommend their service to family & friends. They're competent, honest, friendly and competitively priced. HALT is the ONLY shop that EVER has told me... "we've inspected your brakes as you requested. We can replace them now but we recommend that you get another 10 K miles of use out of them before replacing. No charge for today's inspection - just come back to us when your cars need service." How can you not love such uncommon honesty?

I highly recommend H.A.L.T. to all close family and friends, and to you as well! Best shop in the Cincinnati area as far as kindness, fairness, honesty, and thorough/good work goes(and ive been to a ALOT of shops because I deliver automotive parts). I take my car there for everything as well as my mom’s car. They are spot on with diagnostic work, finding the root cause of the issue and keeping your vehicle running smoothly. They very obviously care about their customers in every interaction I’ve had/witnessed at Halt. I recommend this place to everyone I know! They are very knowledgeable about older and newer vehicles and always make you feel welcome. I had my car checked for road worthiness for an upcoming trip. To scan codes and no other work than a transmission service I was charged $165.82. Scanning codes= $80, Drain and fill transmission fluid= $40. Parts ( fluid) = $34.97 The secretary told me my car was not road worthy because of two codes that had to do with engine temp issues. In fact they were interior climate issues as Jake explained who came in later and told me that the car is road worthy. Honesty does not seem a priority. I would never have brought my car here had I known how they function and how much they would charge!!!!!
