Gory's Auto Repair Introduce

Gory's Auto Repair, located at 3884 39th St, San Diego, CA 92105, USA, is listed under the platform category of Auto Repair Stations. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Gory's Auto Repair based on the available information. It is crucial to note that the information available online, specifically the customer reviews, presents a concerning picture of the services provided by this establishment.

The provided data includes two explicit customer reviews, both of which are overwhelmingly negative and raise serious concerns about the quality of work, professionalism, and care taken with customers' vehicles at Gory's Auto Repair. These reviews paint a picture that starkly contrasts with the expectations one might have from a reputable auto repair station.

Regarding the environment of Gory's Auto Repair, the reviews do not offer any direct descriptions of the physical shop itself. However, the issues reported by customers can indirectly suggest aspects of their operational environment and practices. For instance, the report of a gallon of frozen milk and candy wrappers left in a customer's vehicle, along with the auxiliary volume being set to maximum, indicates a lack of care for the cleanliness and respect for the customer's property within the vehicle's interior. Similarly, the alleged damage to seat covers and the vehicle's exterior point towards a potentially careless handling of customer cars within the workshop environment.

The services that Gory's Auto Repair purportedly offers can be inferred from the issues described in the reviews. The first customer mentioned taking their car in to "switch my ignition switch." This suggests that Gory's Auto Repair offers basic mechanical repair services. The subsequent issue of the battery repeatedly dying, and the car being returned with barely any gas, implies that they may also handle electrical system repairs and that attention to detail, even in returning the vehicle in a proper state, might be lacking. The second review details a "simple cylinder head repair" that was attempted. This indicates that Gory's Auto Repair claims to handle more complex engine repairs as well.

However, the outcomes of these services, as described by the customers, are far from satisfactory. The first customer reported that after the ignition switch replacement, a new problem arose with the battery dying. Upon returning the car to Gory's, it took an extended period to receive it back, and it was allegedly returned in a poor condition with interior damage and low fuel. The second customer's experience was even more alarming. A cylinder head repair, initially promised to take 3-4 days, resulted in the car being unusable after a week of delays. The customer reported that coolant hoses were destroyed, the fans stopped working, and the battery was drained, leading to the conclusion that the damage caused by the shop was so significant that further repair attempts were deemed pointless.

The features of Gory's Auto Repair, based on the limited and negative information, are difficult to ascertain positively. However, the recurring themes in the reviews highlight several concerning characteristics:

  • Lack of Professionalism: Evidenced by the state in which the vehicle was returned (frozen milk, candy wrappers, abused auxiliary system) and the alleged damage to the interior and exterior.
  • Poor Communication and Unmet Promises: The second review details multiple instances of promised completion times being missed, leading to significant frustration.
  • Potential for Causing Further Damage: The second customer explicitly states that the shop destroyed coolant hoses and caused the fans to stop working, indicating a risk of exacerbating existing problems or creating new ones.
  • Extended Repair Times: Both reviews suggest potentially lengthy and unreliable repair timelines.
  • Failure to Resolve Issues: In the case of the second customer, the shop ultimately returned the vehicle unrepaired, citing an inability to fix the initial problem, but not before allegedly causing further damage.

It is important to note that the provided information does not contain any positive feedback or details about any specific features that might be beneficial to customers. The absence of such information, coupled with the severity of the negative reviews, should be a significant consideration for local users seeking auto repair services.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special services provided by Gory's Auto Repair. Given the negative feedback concerning their core services, the absence of promotional information is perhaps secondary to the critical concerns raised by previous customers.

In conclusion, based on the information available, particularly the direct feedback from customers, local users in San Diego considering Gory's Auto Repair should proceed with extreme caution. The reviews highlight significant issues related to unprofessionalism, poor service quality, potential for causing further damage to vehicles, and a failure to meet promised repair timelines. While this introduction is based solely on the provided data, the strong negative sentiments expressed by these customers warrant serious consideration. It is recommended that local users seek alternative auto repair stations with more positive and reliable customer feedback to ensure the proper care and maintenance of their vehicles. The information strongly suggests that engaging with Gory's Auto Repair may carry a significant risk of unsatisfactory service and potential damage to your vehicle.

Gory's Auto Repair Customer Reviews

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE‼️‼️ I took my car to gorys sep. 27 to switch my ignition switch, I got it back and it came back with a different problem. My battery kept dying, I took it to autozone to get it recharged, put it back in my car and the battery still didn’t work. So I took my car to gory’s 10/22 and did not receive it til 11/1, I received it with barely any gas right before the empty line, also a gallon of frozen milk(passenger floor side), candy rappers on the floor, my auxiliary being abused with the volume being to the max. I bought new seat covers that they damaged, seat damage, exterior damage. These are the worst mechanics, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL‼️

The WORST shop ever! Turned in the car on Thursday and promised it would be done by Monday. Comes Monday, "sorry gives us til Wednesday." Wednesday comes, "sorry give us til tomorrow." A whole week goes by and they finally call saying it's done and on my way there they call back to say it's not done yet and that they need until tomorrow. At this I'm frustrated but say fine as long as it's done but nope they call the next morning to say come pick up your car and have your money back cuz we were not able to fix it. A simple cylinder head repair that they promised would be done in 3-4 days turned into my car being completely useless. Before, everything was running in the car beside the cylinder head, after they returned it, they had destroyed my coolant hoses, the fans would not turn on anymore and to make it worse they had left the lights on so they drained the battery. At this point, there's no point in trying to fix the car considering how much damage they have caused.

They keep saying car will be finished within the next week or 2. And going on again and again , make up excuses, they buy unnecessary parts from the car, its been 8 months or 9 almost a year without my car. They Dont even know how to put spark plugs in the right place simple things. Wouldn't recommend this place unless u want to waste lots of unnecessary money and have your car there for almost a year. Its only a engine rebuild as well sorry but it's the truth

Not cool at all...they repaired my power steering hoses and didn’t replace the O rings which I’m told comes with the hoses. I got stranded after my steering fluid leaked out. I had to get towed to a local shop who was kind enough to patch it until I could get to this shop, at no charge! That was cool of them. Got the car back to this shop and they so called repaired it and I was once again stranded....not cool! They then told me that they need to order the O rings from the dealer and charged me another $150.00 to fix something that should have been done from the begining. Ripped me off...never going back and if your reading this “buyer beware”!

Took my car here for an e-vap code as I was recommended by a friend who has taken his car here on several occasions. I had taken my car to one other place prior and they could not figure it out and still charged me for a diagnostic- which is expensive with evap codes bc they use a smoke machine to diagnose. Not only was diagnostic less expensive but i was surprised at how inexpensive it turned out to be and their honesty. Being that I am a woman, I have been taken advantage of on too many occasions and value honesty. Will definitely keep coming here!
