Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Introduce
Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service, located at 129 Terminal Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040, USA, operates within the broader category of Auto Repair Stations. This establishment serves the local community with services primarily centered around tires, encompassing both commercial and consumer needs. For direct inquiries, they can be reached via phone at (931) 648-2769 or mobile at +1 931-648-2769.
As a Goodyear-owned entity, this location is part of a larger network of Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers (CTSC) which are designed to provide a comprehensive range of tire products and related services. While the name emphasizes "Commercial," these centers often cater to a wider spectrum of vehicle needs, including passenger vehicles. Historically, some Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service locations, including those in the Clarksville area, were previously operated under the Raben Tire and Auto Service brand before being acquired by Goodyear in late 2019. This acquisition aimed to expand Goodyear's company-owned presence and strengthen its service capabilities for both fleets and individual consumers.
The environment and customer experience at an auto repair station are crucial for customer satisfaction. Based on available information, there have been some concerns raised by customers regarding the overall service experience at this location, or potentially at locations operating under the previous Raben Tire ownership that are now part of the Goodyear network. One customer, specifically referencing a "Raben Tire and Auto Service shop in Clarksville," detailed a negative experience where their aluminum painted wheels suffered significant damage during a summer tire mounting and balancing service. This damage included paint damage on the inside barrel and scratches and deep gouges in the aluminum, which the customer attributed to the staff not using appropriate rubber bumpers or guards with the tire mounting machine. This specific account highlights a concern about the care taken during service and the potential impact on customer property. Another review expresses a more general dissatisfaction, stating, "Don’t recommend the place. They don’t care about how satisfied you are. Being nice on the phone not enough, make sure your customer is satisfied leaving your establishment." These comments suggest that while initial interactions might be polite, the ultimate outcome of the service and the overall customer satisfaction have been areas of concern for some visitors.
It is important for potential customers to consider these reviews when evaluating the service quality. A professional auto repair environment should prioritize vehicle care and ensure that all procedures are carried out with the utmost precision to prevent damage. Customer satisfaction should be a paramount goal, extending beyond initial pleasantries to the successful completion of the service and the condition of the vehicle upon return.
As a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service center, the primary services offered are focused on tires and related automotive care. These typically include:
- Tire Sales: Offering a wide range of Goodyear brand tires, and potentially other affiliated brands, for various vehicle types, including passenger cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles.
- Tire Mounting and Balancing: Professional installation of new tires and balancing to ensure even wear and a smooth ride. This service, as indicated by customer feedback, requires meticulous attention to detail to prevent wheel damage.
- Tire Repair: Services for punctured or damaged tires, adhering to industry safety standards.
- Wheel Services: While not explicitly detailed, tire shops often offer services related to wheels, which would include mounting and balancing. However, the customer review suggests a potential issue with the handling of wheels during service.
- General Auto Repair and Maintenance (Common for such centers): Beyond tires, Goodyear Auto Service and Commercial Tire & Service centers often provide a range of general automotive maintenance services. These may include oil changes, brake inspections and service, battery checks and replacement, wheel alignments, and other routine vehicle inspections. However, specific details for this precise location's full suite of services are not explicitly provided in the given information, so it's advisable to call ahead for specific needs.
- Commercial Vehicle Services: Given the "Commercial Tire & Service" designation, they are equipped to handle the larger, more robust needs of commercial trucks and fleets, which often involves specialized tire sales, service, and roadside assistance for commercial vehicles.
Key features of a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service location generally revolve around their association with the Goodyear brand, which brings certain expectations of product quality and availability. These typically include:
- Brand Affiliation: Being a Goodyear-owned and operated center means access to the full line of Goodyear tires and potentially exclusive promotions tied to the brand.
- Commercial Focus: The emphasis on "Commercial" suggests specialized equipment, inventory, and expertise for larger vehicles and fleet services, which can be beneficial for businesses in the area.
- Standard Operating Procedures: As part of a national brand, there are typically standardized procedures for service and customer interaction, though execution can vary at individual locations, as suggested by the customer feedback.
Specific promotional information for this Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service location is not provided within the given details. However, as part of the broader Goodyear network, such centers frequently participate in national promotions offered by Goodyear. These often include rebates on tire purchases, discounts on specific services like oil changes or brake services, and special financing options through the Goodyear Credit Card. Customers are encouraged to visit the official Goodyear website or contact the Clarksville location directly to inquire about any current promotions or deals that may be available. While no direct promotional offers are detailed in the provided customer feedback, the overall experience and service quality often serve as the primary "promotion" for a local business, attracting repeat customers through positive word-of-mouth. The customer feedback provided indicates that there may be areas for improvement in ensuring customer satisfaction to drive positive promotions through user experience.
In conclusion, Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service at 129 Terminal Rd, Clarksville, TN, is an auto repair station primarily focused on tire sales and services, with capabilities extending to commercial vehicles. While part of a reputable national brand, some customer reviews suggest areas for improvement in terms of service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction, particularly concerning the careful handling of vehicle components during service. Prospective customers are advised to communicate their expectations clearly and inquire about specific procedures to ensure their service needs are met to their satisfaction.

I recently visited a Raben Tire and Auto Service shop in Clarksville, Tennessee. The previously owned shop I visited for many years was recent purchase by Rabin and I wanted to give them a try at my business. I dropped off four aluminum painted wheels for summer tire mounting and balancing. When I returned home with newly mounted tires, I noticed each one of my wheels was damaged. The staff did not use rubber bumpers or guards when using the tire mounting machine, resulting in each wheel recieving damage to the paint on the inside barrel, and scratches and deep gouges in the aluminum. Needless to say, I am unhappy with the service I received and the damage to my wheels.

Goodyear off Wilma Rudolph is the only Goodyear Tire Dealer in Clarksville. The one off Madison is now a Collision Center. Thanks Goodyear for the new set of tires NOT rebated and NOT telling me I needed "new brakes". Pitiful!
