In terms of features, Goodyear Auto Service on Harbison Blvd benefits from being part of a large, established national brand, which often implies standardized procedures, access to quality parts, and a certain level of technician training. The presence of specific technicians, like "Reggie" mentioned in a positive review, suggests a personalized service experience and a focus on building long-term customer relationships. Technicians like Reggie, who take "the time to explain the work... and what’s been done," contribute significantly to customer trust and satisfaction.

However, an objective introduction must also address all available customer feedback, which in this case, presents a mixed picture. One customer provided an overwhelmingly positive review, highlighting over five years of satisfaction with the service. This individual specifically praised "Reggie," identifying him as their "top mechanic" and describing him as "phenomenal" for his clear explanations of necessary and completed work. This review strongly suggests a positive and consistent experience, emphasizing the value of knowledgeable and communicative staff.

Conversely, another customer shared a significantly negative experience, primarily revolving around long wait times and perceived inefficiency. This customer, a delivery driver for whom time is money, reported two appointments (one for new tires, another for an oil change) that each took "over 3 hours," despite calling in advance. The reviewer noted that the technicians reportedly did not start working until about 9:00 AM, moving "incredibly slow and sipping on their drinks" even though the advertised opening time was 7:30 AM. This customer expressed clear dissatisfaction, indicating that such prolonged waits negatively impacted their livelihood and stated an expectation of a discount, otherwise threatening not to return. This review points to potential issues with operational efficiency, appointment management, and possibly staff punctuality or motivation, which can significantly detract from the customer experience, particularly for those with time-sensitive needs.

Promotional information for Goodyear Auto Service typically includes their ongoing offers, such as rebates on tire purchases and discounts on oil changes. They leverage their brand recognition and commitment to quality products (Goodyear tires) as a key selling point. The ability to schedule appointments online and readily available information on services and warranties further serve as promotional tools by enhancing convenience and transparency for potential customers.

In summary, Goodyear Auto Service at 141 Harbison Blvd, Columbia, SC, is a full-service Auto Repair Station offering a wide array of tire sales and automotive maintenance and repair services. While it benefits from the backing of a major national brand and has received commendations for exceptional individual service from technicians like Reggie, it also faces challenges related to service efficiency and appointment adherence, as highlighted by other customer feedback. For local users in Columbia, SC, considering this Goodyear Auto Service location, it appears to offer comprehensive services and a professional environment, but prospective customers may wish to inquire about current wait times and confirm appointment protocols to ensure a satisfactory experience.

Goodyear Auto Service Customer Reviews

I have been going to the Goodyear on Harbison Boulevard. I know over five years and I have always been satisfied with the service. My top mechanic has always been Reggie. He is phenomenal. He takes the time to explain the work that I need done and what’s been done. He is definitely a keeper!

Had two appointments, called in advance. They did not honor the time promised. Kept pushing me back, both appointments took over 3 hours. First was for new tires, second was just an oil change. I am a delivery driver, this literally costs me money to wait this long. They say they open at 7:30 but the techs did not even start working until about 9:00, they showed up moving incredibly slow and sipping on their drinks. Definitely expect some type of discount, otherwise will not be coming back!

Walked in day prior to installation and spoke to their sales person Austa, she went over the tire options for my vehicle, pricing, and offers currently available. She told me tires would come in next day..when they arrived she called me when to come in..they were installed..and they ride great.Austa was great to deal with, and made the process easy as 1 2 3.

Came in 1/25/25 had a nail in my tire that I was 80% positive that they could patch the hole. After waiting around 30 minutes (there was no other customers in the store besides me), the guy informs me they can’t patch the tire. And that they don’t replace the type of tire my car has. I said okay and believed him, he tapped off my tire with air and said I would be fine to drive back to where I’m from (upstate area). I arrive back home and just out of curiosity called my good year from where I am from and told them what I was told, and they said they would order my tire for me (wasn’t even offered this option at the irmo location). So awesome I go ahead and pay for the tire over the phone nearly $300 bucks. I come in to get the tire fixed and I ask the guys at this good year store just curious can you see if that nail could’ve been patched. Plot twist of the century! They tell me the tire could’ve been easily patched up. The complete opposite of what the good year in irmo told me.

Corporate owned store. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Went in with a warranty claim. They showed me how I had been misinformed by a competitor. Took time to explain in detail, consulted on next tire recommendation. Will go back.
