My tale starts with the need of new tires for my f150. My truck has aftermarket Fuel rims on it. I bought a really nice set of cheap pull offs from a buddy. Took them to a local shop and got them mounted and balanced. They looked good but anything over 50 and the truck had a bad vibration in the rear end. I took it to a different shop that was a bit more expensive and "fancy". Well they "fixed" the issue and told me that my rims were bent. Guess what! Now the vibration doesn't kick in until 55+ and its significantly worse. So I'm telling another friend and he recommends Goat customs which is 90+ minutes away. I'm desperate so I get in with them. They rebalance the wheels and take off absurd amounts of weight, also multiple types of weights. Truck rides much better but still has a shimmy at higher speed. They let me know that my rims are in fact NOT bent. They suggest it may be a bad tire. They show me some stuff I can order and pick what I want. They had to order them. I take the truck back and get the new tires mounted and balanced. This time, my baby rides like she did pre pull offs. Yay! BUT now I notice that with an all new set of rubber my steering seems a bit off. I ask them to check my alignment and they adjusted that as well. I will now only take my trucks to these guys even though they are so far away and recommend them to anyone that will listen. You won't find better pricing, options and people at any other truck shop in my opinion.
