Tim is a nice guy and they do good work here, but communication is lacking and they hold on to your car for a while. I brought my car back here to follow up on some work they did earlier in the year, and they ended up holding on to the car for a week without calling me, and hadn't done anything with it after a whole week. I can't be without my vehicle for that long for no reason.

This has been my family’s go to place for anything automotive related for years now. Drop your car off and it’s in good hands. No BS, no games, Tim is a class act. I’d let him perform open heart surgery on me.

Great customer service. Tim is the best auto mechanic out there. He is very affordable and will work with you if you don't have enough money to pay on the spot.

I have small things done by Mavis and Jiffy lube. When it comes to diagnosis, and quality work that's more than something small, I bring it here. Ask anyone living in the area and they'll tell you the same thing. Very good reputation with 5 stars.

I own a 1996 Ford Taurus LX wagon with 115,000 inherited from my parents estate. Our household lost 3 cars from Hurricane Sandy and much more. Needless to say this car is an important means of transportation to us and needs to be reliable. For the last 4 yrs it had been but this past Dec and thru this month,the car decided to start showing its age. Shaking from the front,stalling when applying the brakes wanting to throw up when accelerating,pulling to the right when driving,making all kinds of knocking noises. Took it to Garrett's,spoke with Tim,the owner on Friday,1/13/17. I truly expected that he was going to tell me to "junk" the car,but he didn't. Instead he assured me that he would take a look and call me back with an estimate which he did on Saturday morning. The list was way shorter than I had thought and the price of repair was half of what I was expecting. He assured me the car would be ready on Monday,1/16/17. I was shocked that the turn around time would be so fast and that the car would have the necessary inspection sticker on it. Not only was the car ready as promised,but the actual bill was less than the estimate, but the truly remarkable thing is that this car is now driving better than when my parents first bought it. Tim Garretts Car Care is 5 stars in my book.. Thanks a million Tim..... You're the Best!!!!!!!
