Features

Several key features set FSi Racing apart as a premier high-performance automotive destination:

  • Experienced Founders and Team: Co-founders Masyn Derf and Tim Jayne bring years of hands-on experience and technical knowledge, having graduated from UNOH with degrees in High Performance Motorsports Technology and Automotive Technology. Tim, known as "Nub," is particularly recognized for his tuning expertise.
  • Advanced Equipment and Tools: Investment in a fully equipped shop, including a dynamometer for precise tuning and measurement, allows them to offer services that many standard shops cannot.
  • Custom Fabrication Capabilities: The ability to custom fabricate parts means they can create bespoke solutions that perfectly fit a unique build, rather than relying solely on off-the-shelf components.

Promotional Information

As a specialized business targeting a niche market of performance enthusiasts, FSi Racing's promotional strategies are likely focused on demonstrating their technical prowess and successful builds. While specific, real-time promotional offers are best found by direct contact, general promotional activities might include:

  • Showcasing Work on Social Media: Extensive use of platforms like Facebook and Instagram to display stunning photos and videos of their custom builds, dyno runs, engine assemblies, and fabrication processes. This visual content serves as powerful testimonials to their capabilities.
  • Website Galleries and Project Spotlights: A dedicated section on their website for a "gallery" or "project spotlights" that detail complex builds from start to finish, illustrating the before-and-after and highlighting the performance gains.
  • Participation in Local Car Meets and Races: Attending or sponsoring local drag racing events, car meets, or automotive shows to directly engage with the enthusiast community, showcase their expertise, and network with potential clients.
  • Content Marketing: Creating informative content such as blog posts or videos that explain complex performance modifications, tuning principles, or product benefits, establishing them as thought leaders in the performance automotive space.
  • Word-of-Mouth Referrals: For a specialized business, client satisfaction leading to word-of-mouth referrals is a critical promotional channel, driven by their reputation for quality work and honest advice. Testimonials on their website underscore this.
  • Partnerships with Performance Parts Suppliers: Their existing partnerships with major brands like Holley and Texas Speed might sometimes lead to co-promotions or early access to new products.
  • Consultation Offers: While not a discount, offering initial consultations for complex builds or tuning projects at no charge can be a way to engage potential clients and demonstrate their expertise.

For those in the Claypool, IN area and beyond who are serious about enhancing their vehicle's performance, contacting FSi Racing directly via phone or email (details available on their website) would be the most effective way to discuss specific needs and inquire about any current offerings.

Extremely intelligent staff with meticulous work, from tuning, to engine rebuilds, to custom fabrication. If anyone is thinking about having a GM vehicle tuned, this is the place. In house dyno, thorough explanation of what the strategy is ongoing any work performed, as well as competitive pricing! I needed some Holley parts and was talking to them....come to find out they are a Holley dealer! Parts, labor, knowledge, cleanliness, organization....all top notch!

I had my truck DOD deleted and a custom tune on the dino. I never got the custom tune or the dino due to misfires from my mechanic, but I still had to pay the same price as he quoted me for the custom tune, and the dino, not as satisfied as everybody else.

I have a 2019 Chevy Camaro 2ss convertible. I came in with some tuning for the throttle body issues i was having and a trans tune. My camaro started out with a 112mm granatelli tb which was tunable with my issues is what i was told. I knew the throttle body was larger than normal but with the issues i had using a particular brand i decided to try an over engineer and install the 112mm tb. After a week or so i was told my car was ready but there was some issues with HP tuners and would have to return for that. In addition the car dyno tested lower than originally tuned but numbers aren't everything its how it runs so i decided that was expectable if it runs good. The cam idle was very different and didn't have that rhythmic lope i am used to hearing and feeling which has been a part of every cammed car I have ever owned but decided to take it anyway and see how it acts. The next day cold start the engine was backfiring cracking and popping very unusual behavior in addition the cam lope is abnormal and kinda sounds like its misfiring to me. After a couple days of this i decided this needed to be looked at again. Dropped it off again for repairs and the trans tune we couldnt do before. Keep in mind this is not close to my house about 1 hour 20 minutes one way which i was ok with to finally have someone tune this like it should be so i thought. After 3 more weeks i was told the 112 mm throttle body could not be tuned and i needed the 103mm tb. This was the original size i had before installing the 112 so in my mind i wished i would have been told that before i was delivered a finished product and paid aprox 1100.00. If all i needed was a 103 Tb then i didnt need tuning as i was reasonably happy with the original tune. Being i was already into this for 1100 i purchased a used 103 tb from them so they could continue. I was told it was ready for pickup and runs great no issues at all. Paid for the throttle body, started up and the cam didnt sound like i remember it nor anything like i have ever herd but decided to drive it and see how it does. Immediately i noticed the throttle was way to much to fast, i couldnt even go around a corner without racing around it, i thought this might work in but after feeling the transmission shifting way to hard under light throttle, turned around and brought it back very unhappy. I asked them if they could load my old tune back in and was told no. My confidence is very low with them at this point and i wanted to stop here and just get a refund to try something else but was told no. In addition my car was nearly empty on fuel after they test drove it to try and convince me it was good when we all knew it wasnt to be completly honest. Went to take a test drive to log a drive file and couldnt cause it was out of gas and no gas station within reasonable distance with E85. I left very upset and said i would be back in 2 weeks let me know if you cant fix it. Was told it was finished again so i made another trip nervous but excited also. I didnt even to 4th gear, gears 2nd and 3rd shift so hard i nearly though i was going to drive off leaving the diff behind me. Drove back for some more adjustments and was told it was good. There were some parts of the tune just to be fair i thought were outstanding but the other issues i just cant live with. Now keep in mind i had already had a tune with a 103 tb and didnt have any of the issues i am having at this point. I drove home with the throttle still way to much to soon i mean the response in my opinion was triple what i would even consider safe to drive on a public roadway. The trans shifting was still was to hard 1st to 2nd and the adjustment didnt do much for 2nd to 3rd, in addition the check engine light and the stabilitrac warning lights came on before i even arrived at home, they wanted to disable random misfire, no, you shouldnt. now i am stuck with a car i cant drive they cant fix and wont refund my money
