Foothills Automotive Introduce

For vehicle owners in Granite Falls, NC, and the surrounding areas, selecting a reliable "Auto Repair Station" is paramount for maintaining their vehicles' safety and functionality. Foothills Automotive, located at 10 Falls Ave, Granite Falls, NC 28630, USA, operates within this category. However, a review of available customer feedback for this establishment reveals significant and deeply concerning issues that prospective clients should be fully aware of before considering their services.

The "Auto Repair Stations" category typically implies a business that provides diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services for automobiles. While Foothills Automotive is listed under this category, the detailed customer accounts suggest that their operations, at least as experienced by these individuals, fall far short of the expected standards for professional automotive care. The nature of the complaints moves beyond minor dissatisfaction into allegations of severe vehicle damage, unfulfilled promises, and prolonged lack of communication, raising serious questions about their suitability as a reliable auto service provider.

Based on the explicit customer reviews, the environment at Foothills Automotive appears to be characterized by a severe lack of professionalism and accountability. The narrative of a truck being held for months without repair, coupled with unfulfilled promises of engine replacement, paints a picture of a dysfunctional and potentially negligent operation. The mention of a "garage" for hiding parts and the general tone of deceit ("He replaced the fuel pump and said he replaced the flexplate but didn't. He tried to hide my brand new flexplate on a shelf in his garage.") suggest a disorganized and untrustworthy workspace, far from the clean, efficient, and transparent environment expected of a reputable repair shop. The reported difficulty in reaching "Joey" (presumably the owner or lead mechanic) by phone for months further indicates a severe communication breakdown and a disregard for customer concerns, leading to an environment of frustration and helplessness for the vehicle owners.

The services reportedly offered by Foothills Automotive, as per the customer accounts, include significant mechanical repairs such as spark plug changes, engine replacement, flexplate replacement, and fuel pump replacement. However, the critical nature of the reviews centers not on the offering of these services, but on the alleged execution and the subsequent consequences. For instance, a routine spark plug change reportedly led to spark plugs breaking off and, critically, an engine blowing up shortly thereafter. The subsequent failure to replace the engine as promised, despite the customer finding a suitable replacement, highlights a severe deficiency in fulfilling service agreements. Similarly, an alleged "flexplate replacement" was never actually performed, with the new part supposedly hidden, demonstrating a shocking level of dishonesty. These accounts directly contradict the fundamental expectations of an "Auto Repair Station," which should provide competent and honest service, not cause further damage or deception. While they may advertise or claim to provide these services, the documented experiences suggest a profound failure in their delivery.

The features of Foothills Automotive, as depicted by the customer reviews, are overwhelmingly negative and serve as stark warnings. The most prominent feature is an alleged severe lack of competence and professionalism, leading to critical vehicle damage (e.g., blown engine after spark plug change). Another disturbing feature is the reported dishonesty and deception, as evidenced by the unperformed flexplate replacement and the alleged hiding of parts. A significant issue is the extreme lack of communication and accountability, with customers struggling to reach the shop for months and promises going unfulfilled. The mention of "getting sued" directly indicates that the disputes have escalated to legal action, a very serious feature for any business. The customer advice to "DO NOT GO TO FOOTHILLS AUTOMOTIVE, NOT EVEN FOR A FLAT TIRE ON A BICYCLE" is perhaps the most damning feature, indicating a complete loss of trust and a strong recommendation against any engagement with the business. These features stand in stark contrast to the positive attributes typically sought in an auto repair shop, such as reliability, transparency, and effective problem-solving.

Given the highly critical and alarming nature of the customer reviews, any discussion of "promotional information" for Foothills Automotive would be paradoxical. The provided information acts as a severe deterrent rather than a promotion. There are no positive aspects or unique selling points highlighted that would encourage a customer to choose this shop. Instead, the promotional message conveyed by these reviews is one of extreme caution. Typically, auto repair stations promote themselves through: reliable service, fair pricing, positive customer testimonials, and warranties on work performed. However, for Foothills Automotive, the reported experiences contradict all these positive elements. The phone numbers provided, (828) 217-9738 and +1 828-217-9738, are the only direct means of contact mentioned. However, the reviews clearly state that customers have been unable to reach them for extended periods. The address at 10 Falls Ave, Granite Falls, NC 28630, USA, indicates the physical location, but customers are strongly advised against visiting for service based on the severity of the reported issues. In light of the ongoing legal issues and severe customer dissatisfaction, any promotional activity from this business would be overshadowed by the deeply negative public feedback.

In conclusion, Foothills Automotive in Granite Falls, NC, despite being categorized as an "Auto Repair Station," presents a highly problematic picture based on explicit customer reviews. These accounts detail severe allegations of incompetence leading to vehicle damage, dishonesty regarding repairs, prolonged unresponsiveness, and reported legal action. For vehicle owners in the Granite Falls area, the information available on the internet provides a strong and unequivocal warning to exercise extreme caution and, indeed, suggests avoiding this establishment for any automotive service needs. The reported experiences are critically detrimental to any perception of reliability, professionalism, or trustworthiness for Foothills Automotive.

I took my 96 blazer to him to have the flexplate and fuel pump replaced. He replaced the fuel pump and said he replaced the flexplate but didn't. He tried to hide my brand new flexplate on a shelf in his garage. He used to be a very good mechanic. I have DO NOT GO TO FOOTHILLS AUTOMOTIVE, NOT EVEN FOR A FLAT TIRE ON A BICYCLE

My 90 year father has known Joey for years, but just recently when my father left his car to be fixed from Joey, whom he trusted, cheated him out of $2,600.00. Joey kept my father's car for three weeks, took the money for repairs and when my dad's car was returned, not one repair was done and my dad had to take to another mechanic, costing him more money. It is sad that a person would cheat a 90 year old man, living off of SS and a person he has known for years.

This place is a joke, Joey said it would take a week to fix my vehicle it's been over a month and will NOT return a phone call or give u any updates, asks for half the money up front so u can't take it somewhere else, when he finally answers his phone gives you every excuse in the book..i would not recommend this guy, for him to have his own business is a joke I've had better experiences with backyard mechanics..car owners BEWARE!!!
