Flanery Brothers Automotive Introduce

For vehicle owners in Minneapolis, MN, particularly in the vicinity of E 42nd Street, Flanery Brothers Automotive operates as an Auto Repair Station catering to various vehicle service and maintenance requirements. Located at 2720 E 42nd St, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA, this establishment provides automotive repair services to the local community. They can be reached by phone at (612) 722-9829 or via mobile at +1 612-722-9829 for appointments and inquiries.

The environment at Flanery Brothers Automotive, based on customer feedback, presents a mixed impression. One review describes a professional encounter with "Brian," who was "quiet but clearly knew cars," suggesting a focus on the technical aspects of auto repair. This indicates a no-nonsense approach where the primary interaction revolves around diagnosing and fixing vehicles. Like most auto repair shops, the environment is likely a functional workshop equipped with the necessary tools and bays for vehicle service. There would typically be a reception area where customers can drop off and pick up their vehicles, and discuss repair needs. However, another customer's experience highlights significant concerns regarding vehicle security and customer service accountability upon pickup. This suggests that while the technical expertise might be present, there may be inconsistencies in customer service protocols or attention to detail outside of the direct repair process. A well-managed auto repair environment strives for both technical proficiency and reliable customer care, including secure handling of vehicles. The layout would presumably facilitate efficient workflow for mechanics, but the customer experience at drop-off and pick-up is also a critical part of the overall environment.

Flanery Brothers Automotive provides a range of services typical of a general auto repair station. Based on the provided information, the core service is vehicle diagnosis and repair. One customer's experience suggests the mechanic, Brian, "clearly knew cars," implying expertise in identifying automotive issues. The positive review mentioning "gave me a price and I went with him" indicates a process of quoting repairs and proceeding with the work. While specific services like "brakes changed" or "oil change" are not explicitly mentioned in the provided snippets for Flanery Brothers Automotive (as they were for other businesses in the provided examples), it is standard for an auto repair station to offer a broad spectrum of services. These commonly include:

  • Diagnostic Services: Identifying the root cause of vehicle malfunctions using both mechanical inspection and potentially diagnostic tools.
  • General Maintenance: Routine services like oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tire rotations essential for vehicle longevity.
  • Brake Services: Repair and replacement of brake pads, rotors, calipers, and other braking system components.
  • Engine Repair: Addressing issues from minor engine troubles to more complex repairs.
  • Suspension and Steering: Maintenance and repair of components affecting vehicle handling and ride comfort.
  • Electrical System Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing issues with vehicle electrical components.
  • Pre-Purchase Inspections: Assessing the condition of a used vehicle before purchase.

The ability of the mechanic to clearly understand and price the work suggests a streamlined service process for common repairs. However, the negative review regarding vehicle security upon pickup introduces a caveat concerning the overall service delivery, especially in terms of vehicle handling protocols after repairs are completed.

The features of Flanery Brothers Automotive, as drawn from customer feedback, present a dichotomy. On one hand, there is clear evidence of technical competence and a straightforward approach to pricing:

  • Knowledgeable Mechanics: "Brian was quiet but clearly knew cars," suggesting that the staff possess strong technical understanding and diagnostic capabilities. This is a crucial feature for effective auto repair.
  • No-Nonsense Pricing: The customer appreciated that the mechanic "gave me a price and I went with him," indicating transparency and directness in quoting, which is highly valued by customers tired of ambiguous pricing structures.

On the other hand, a significant negative feature highlighted by a customer is a perceived "0 accountability" regarding vehicle security and customer service. The incident where a vehicle was found "unlocked, glove box hanging open, back door ajar, and back seats were folded down" on a side street, followed by a denial of responsibility and a suggestion to "Call the cops," reflects a critical lapse in professionalism and customer care. This indicates:

  • Potential Security Lapses: Concerns about how vehicles are stored and secured after service.
  • Lack of Accountability/Remorse: The shop's response to the security incident, characterized by denial rather than an apology or an immediate investigation, severely impacts trust and demonstrates a lack of concern for customer property and peace of mind.
  • Inconsistent Customer Experience: While one customer had a "Great experience," another's was severely marred by security issues and poor customer relations. This suggests variability in the overall service delivery.

For an auto repair station, trust and accountability are paramount. While the technical skills may be present, the issues of vehicle security and customer accountability highlighted in the negative review are critical factors for potential customers to consider.

Regarding promotional information, no specific promotional offers or advertising strategies for Flanery Brothers Automotive are available in the provided data. Typically, local auto repair shops rely heavily on word-of-mouth referrals, customer satisfaction, and online reviews to attract new business. A strong positive reputation, built on consistent quality work and transparent pricing, serves as the most effective form of promotion. However, given the mixed reviews, especially the strong negative one concerning accountability, their promotional efforts might face challenges. For a business like this, typical promotional strategies, if employed, might include:

  • General Service Discounts: Offers on common services like oil changes or brake inspections.
  • First-Time Customer Incentives: A small discount to encourage new clients to try their services.
  • Seasonal Maintenance Packages: Promotions for vehicle checks tailored to different seasons.
  • Online Presence: Maintaining a website or social media to showcase services and provide contact information, though no specific web presence details were provided.

Without explicit promotional details, customers interested in Flanery Brothers Automotive should rely on their own due diligence, including perhaps visiting the location and discussing their needs directly. Contact can be made via phone at (612) 722-9829 or +1 612-722-9829 to inquire about services and pricing before committing to repairs. The experience will likely depend on the specific interaction and the nature of the service required.

Flanery Brothers Automotive Customer Reviews

Great experience. Flanery Brothers was recommended to me by an auto parts store. Brian was quiet but clearly knew cars. I liked that he was no nonsense, gave me a price and I went with him. I will definitely be using them in the future. Thank you.

BEWARE!! 0 accountability. Upon pick up of my vehicle it was parked on the side street? In front of someone’s house, unlocked, glove box hanging open, back door ajar, and back seats were folded down. When we went inside to tell the dude it was unlocked and open he claimed “well, we locked it. Someone must’ve broken in. Call the cops.” ? It has no markings of breaking in. There was no alarm going off. So unless they had my spare key… JUST OWN IT. YOU DID NOT LOCK MY DOOR. 0 accountability. 0 remorse. A simple “my apologies, I will double check to sure my guys lock vehicles.”

We’ve used Flanery’s three times now. The first to listen to a noise and ultimately have an old heat plate taken off, the second to get rear brakes replaced and then today, to borrow a portable jump starter for my husband’s car. No charge to borrow it (not even a name/number/form- just trust!), no charge for the heat plate removal…they legit feel like neighborhood dads I call whenever one of our cars does something funny. They’ll help for free when they can and they did great work at a good price when we got the brakes done. Thanks guys!!!

Chaotic weird vibes from this shop, and poor quality work. Turbo Tim's has never done me wrong, would recommend them over these clowns.

These guys are great, brought my vehicle into them after 2 other shops just wanted to throw parts at my vehicle that have already been replaced. They actually dug a little deeper and found what was causing the issue and not throwing a part at it because the code reader said a crank shaft sensor was bad. My girlfriend has been using them forever and never had any issues so I figured I would give them a shot. Give them a try and they will earn your business on their own. My girlfriend also said they even offer loaner cars if needed.
