Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC Introduce
Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC, situated at 2109 E 6th Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, providing vehicle repair and maintenance services to the local community. The name "Mobile Mechanic" suggests an emphasis on on-site repair capabilities, offering a convenient alternative to traditional shop-based services, although the provided address indicates a fixed location for operations as well. This blend of service delivery models aims to cater to a diverse range of customer needs, from emergency roadside assistance to more extensive repairs that may require a dedicated workshop environment.
Customers can reach Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC by phone at (928) 856-9315 or mobile at +1 928-856-9315. In the automotive repair sector, particularly for services that might involve mobile response, accessibility and responsiveness are key. For local users in Flagstaff, a repair service that can come to them, or offer a convenient drop-off location, provides significant flexibility and peace of mind.
When choosing an auto repair service, customers typically consider several critical aspects: the environment in which repairs are conducted, the range and quality of services offered, unique features that set the business apart, and any promotional information that might influence their decision. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC, drawing upon the provided customer feedback to illustrate their service delivery and customer experience.
While the business name implies "Mobile Mechanic," suggesting that much of the work occurs at the customer's location, the address at 2109 E 6th Ave indicates a physical base of operations. This typically means the business has a workshop or garage where more complex repairs, which require specialized tools or a controlled environment, can be performed. For the customer, this dual approach offers flexibility: minor repairs or diagnostics might be handled on-site, while major work, such as an engine overhaul or extensive system repair, would likely occur at their facility.
The environment at a physical auto repair station like this would generally be a functional garage, equipped with bays, lifts, diagnostic tools, and a parts inventory. While details on a customer waiting area are not provided, a professional auto repair environment prioritizes safety, organization, and the efficient flow of vehicles and repairs. For mobile service, the "environment" is wherever the customer's vehicle is located, be it a driveway, workplace parking lot, or roadside. In such cases, the professionalism and preparedness of the mobile unit (the mechanic and their tools) become the primary environmental factors.
Based on the customer reviews, Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC appears to offer a range of repair services for various vehicle issues. The specific services mentioned in the feedback include:
- Engine Misfire Diagnosis and Repair: One review explicitly states, "Had a bad engine misfire driving into Flagstaff. Owner Mike and one of his mechanics came and replaced spark plugs and ignition coil..." This indicates proficiency in diagnosing and addressing common engine performance issues.
- Spark Plug and Ignition Coil Replacement: Directly related to engine misfires, these are routine but critical components for engine operation.
- Water Pump Replacement: Mentioned in one review, indicating capability for cooling system repairs.
- Valve Cover Gasket and Seal Replacement: Also highlighted in a review, suggesting expertise in addressing oil leaks and engine sealing issues.
- General Diagnostics: The ability to assess issues and provide quotes, as described in the first review, points to diagnostic capabilities.
- Emergency/Expedited Service: The reference to "squeezed me in next morning" during an emergency situation demonstrates a willingness to prioritize urgent repairs, which is highly valued by customers facing unexpected breakdowns.
The "mobile" aspect of their service implies that they can perform basic diagnostics, minor repairs, and perhaps even some component replacements at the customer's location, reducing the need for towing and providing immediate relief for stranded motorists. For more extensive or complex issues, vehicles would likely need to be brought to their physical shop at 2109 E 6th Ave.
Several features distinguish Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC in the local auto repair landscape:
- Mobile Service Capability: This is a primary differentiator. The ability to dispatch a mechanic to the customer's location offers unparalleled convenience, especially for breakdowns or for individuals with busy schedules who cannot easily visit a traditional shop. While the effectiveness of this mobile service for complex jobs can vary, for diagnostics and minor fixes, it's a significant advantage.
- Owner Involvement and Customer Interaction: The reviews specifically mention "Owner Mike," indicating a direct involvement of the owner in the service process. In one positive review, "owner Mike was adamant about honoring his original quote," which speaks to integrity and customer commitment. This direct owner interaction can foster a sense of trust and accountability.
- Responsiveness to Emergencies: The "squeezed me in next morning" scenario highlights their capacity and willingness to respond to urgent repair needs, a crucial service for travelers and local commuters alike.
- Commitment to Honoring Quotes: The positive feedback regarding honoring the original quote, even when "unrelated issues caused the diagnosis and fix to take way longer than anticipated," is a strong indicator of transparency and reliability in pricing, which is highly valued by customers.
However, it's important to objectively present all feedback. The highly critical review details significant issues with service quality and professionalism, including allegations of unreplaced parts despite being charged, improper bleeding of the cooling system, and a dangerously loose fuel line connection. This feedback points to inconsistencies in workmanship and a lack of thoroughness in certain instances. For potential customers, this highlights the importance of clear communication, detailed invoicing, and perhaps post-repair checks.
No explicit promotional information or special offers are provided in the given data. Typically, auto repair businesses might offer new customer discounts, seasonal specials, or loyalty programs. For Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC, their primary promotional appeal, beyond direct word-of-mouth, would likely center around the convenience of their mobile service and their ability to address a variety of common vehicle issues.
The customer reviews paint a mixed picture of the customer experience:
- Positive Experience: The second review is overwhelmingly positive, praising the quick response, effective repair of an engine misfire, and especially the owner's integrity in honoring the original quote despite complications. This customer "would gladly recommend their service."
- Negative Experience: The first review describes a very poor experience, citing alleged failure to replace parts as quoted, shoddy workmanship (improper coolant bleed, fuel line not securely connected), and a perceived rush job. This customer "would not recommend this place" and warns others to "head somewhere else."
This dichotomy in feedback suggests that while Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC has the capability to provide excellent service and stand by their commitments, there may be inconsistencies in execution or communication that lead to significant customer dissatisfaction. For local users, this underscores the importance of clear expectations, perhaps requesting detailed breakdowns of work performed, and verifying repairs where possible. The "fire hazard" mentioned in the negative review is a particularly serious concern that prospective customers should be aware of when evaluating service providers.
In summary, Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC at 2109 E 6th Ave, Flagstaff, AZ, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" with a distinct feature of offering mobile repair services in addition to shop-based work. They address common vehicle issues like engine misfires, cooling system problems, and oil leaks. While positive customer feedback highlights responsive service and integrity in pricing, a critical review raises significant concerns about the quality of workmanship and adherence to quoted repairs. Local users considering their services should weigh the convenience of mobile repair and positive customer interactions against the potential for inconsistent service quality, making sure to communicate clearly about expectations and verify work performed.

Flagstaff Mobile Mechanic LLC Customer Reviews
The past weekend, during our Christmas vacations, I had a “break down” on my f150. Called, took it in and they quoted $1800 for valve cover gaskets and seals and water pump replacement. Water pump was alright, very small leak, but the major issue was the spark plug coil seals. Had some oil leaking from 3 of them. With the quote they gave me they said they would replace seals and gaskets on both valve covers, replace spark coils and spark plugs. Well, they didn’t replace anything. The only new part I could see was the water pump. Spark coils are the same as before, they still even have smudges of dirt from me taking it off-roading. Seals seem to have worked, but when I got home, after a 200 mile drive, I noticed some odd things. First off, they didn’t properly bleed the air out of the cooling system, had to bleed out all the air myself. Pretty basic stuff for so called “mechanics”. Second of all the gas line connection to the injectors was not plugged in right. That is a fire hazard, even I not being a mechanic knows that. I could smell the gas and see smoke coming out the engine. When I popped the hood open, there I saw it. The line leaking and soaking up the valve covers and ignition coils. I understand it was around the holidays and all but it seems like you all just rushed through the job. I would not recommend this place, head somewhere else. These people are not professional enough to do their job. I won’t be getting anywhere close to this place again and neither should you.

Had a bad engine misfire driving into Flagstaff. Owner Mike and one of his mechanics came and replaced spark plugs and ignition coil, but it was evident there were more problems before it being safe to drive home to Phoenix. They squeezed me in next morning. Unfortunately, unrelated issues caused the diagnosis and fix to take way longer than anticipated, but owner Mike was adamant about honoring his original quote. I made it home safely, ride was smooth, and I'm grateful for and would gladly recommend their service.

Quick service! We didn’t need our vehicle fixed right away. So we told them they could take their time. They had the radiator replaced by the next afternoon. Price was exactly what was quoted.

I went here to get an oil change, asked for conventional cause my van is a 93. Cost $90 and when I said something about it the lady at the front desk (the owner I think) started screaming at me. Obviously I yelled back because how are you gonna rip me off and then scream at me? I paid eventually but don't waste your time here, any other shop is worth the wait compared to this place. The owner seems to love commenting childish things on their reviews, let that speak for itself.
