Environment and Facilities

As a franchise of a large national brand, Firestone Complete Auto Care locations typically feature a standardized layout designed for efficiency and customer convenience. This usually includes a welcoming customer waiting area, service desks for check-in and check-out, and a spacious bay area for vehicle repairs. While specific details about the aesthetics or unique features of this particular Lansdale branch are not provided, Firestone generally maintains a clean and organized appearance. Their facilities are equipped to handle various automotive tasks, from routine maintenance to more complex repairs, with appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment in their service bays. The emphasis is typically on providing a professional and accessible environment for all automotive service needs.

Comprehensive Services Offered

Firestone Complete Auto Care positions itself as a one-stop shop for automotive needs, offering a broad spectrum of services that align with the "Auto Repair Stations" category. These typically include:

  • Routine Maintenance: This is a cornerstone of their service, encompassing essential tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. These services are crucial for prolonging vehicle lifespan and ensuring optimal performance.

  • Vehicle Inspections: As highlighted in customer reviews, they perform inspections, which are vital for identifying potential issues, ensuring vehicle safety, and meeting state-mandated requirements.

  • Air Conditioning (AC) Services: They offer AC diagnosis and AC repair, addressing issues with vehicle climate control systems to ensure comfort and proper functioning, especially in varying weather conditions.

  • Belt Replacements: Services like belt replacements (e.g., serpentine belts, timing belts) are crucial for the proper operation of various engine components and are routinely performed.

  • Tire Services: Given the "Firestone" name, tire services are a major component, including tire sales, mounting, balancing, rotation, and flat repair. They carry a wide range of tire brands and types suitable for various vehicles and driving conditions.

  • Brake Services: This includes brake inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and brake fluid flushes, all essential for vehicle safety.

  • Battery Services: Testing, replacement, and recycling of automotive batteries.

Key Features and Customer Experience

As a national brand, Firestone Complete Auto Care aims to provide consistent service across its locations. Key features often promoted include:

  • ASE Certified Technicians: Firestone typically employs Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified technicians, ensuring a level of professional competency in their repairs.

  • Nationwide Warranty: Services and parts usually come with a nationwide warranty, providing customers with peace of mind regardless of where they travel.

  • Online Scheduling: Many Firestone locations offer the convenience of online appointment scheduling.

However, recent customer experiences at this specific Lansdale location highlight significant concerns that diverge from the ideal customer experience that Firestone aims to deliver:

    • Communication Issues: Customers reported a lack of timely communication regarding estimates and repair timelines. Instances of being told work was ongoing without prior authorization or receiving conflicting information about vehicle readiness created considerable frustration.

    • Extended Wait Times: Both for dropping off keys and for picking up vehicles, customers experienced long waits, even when only one person was ahead of them, indicating potential understaffing or inefficient processes at the front desk.

    • Service Discrepancies: A significant issue arose when a customer was told an oil change was completed, only to find out the next day it had not been done, leading to further delays and loss of trust.

    • Post-Service Damage and Accountability: A severe concern was a large scratch on a vehicle's passenger side door noticed immediately after leaving the shop. The refusal of the store manager and Firestone Corporate to take responsibility, attributing it to external factors because it wasn't noticed on the lot, severely damaged customer trust and resulted in additional financial burden for the customer. This lack of accountability for potential damage incurred while a vehicle is in their care is a critical detractor from the overall service.

Promotional Information

While specific current promotions for the 230 Forty Foot Rd, Lansdale, PA location are not detailed in the provided information, Firestone Complete Auto Care, as a national brand, frequently offers various promotions to attract customers. These commonly include:

  • Discounted Services: Offers on routine services like oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.

  • Tire Promotions: Discounts on tire purchases, buy-one-get-one deals, or rebates on specific tire brands.

  • Seasonal Specials: Promotions tied to seasonal vehicle needs, such as AC checks in summer or battery tests in winter.

  • Credit Card Financing: They often offer a Firestone credit card with special financing options for larger repairs.

  • Coupons and Online Deals: Customers can often find printable coupons or online deals on their corporate website or through local advertisements.

However, based on the provided customer feedback, potential customers should exercise caution and diligence. It is highly advisable to thoroughly inspect vehicles for any pre-existing or new damage before and immediately after service, document all interactions, and maintain clear communication, especially when dealing with complex repairs or extended service times at this particular location.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Customer Reviews

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! (or at least check for damage before paying) I was spoken down to and given the run around by both this location and Firestone Corporate after trying to find a resolution for my damaged vehicle. I went in for an inspection, oil change, and AC diagnosis this past Saturday and after waiting a bit longer than expected, I was told to return on Wednesday for the AC repair and some belt replacements. I was also told I would receive a call with an estimate for the work prior to the appointment. I did not receive this call, but still dropped off my vehicle Wednesday morning at 7:45am; I was told again that I would receive a call with an estimate before work began. I called the shop around 2pm to see if they had an estimate, and was told my car was already being worked on and would be ready by the end of the day. However, about an hour later, I received another call telling me there was a miscommunication: in fact, the AC repair is a 2 day job and they would need to keep my car until Friday afternoon or I would have to reschedule. I also finally received an estimate for the work during this call, after some of the work had been done. I decided to leave my vehicle at the shop and thankfully, the team worked a little later that night and I was able to pick up my car Thursday afternoon. Excited and grateful for the speedy work, I paid for the service and drove my car back to work. However, when I arrived at work, I noticed a large scratch on my passenger side door. I took a picture immediately and contacted the shop. I was told to bring it back in for the manager, Tom, to look at and he told me it looks like a car door was slammed into my car. He did not take responsibility and we did not reach a resolution. The repairs seem to be fine, but my car now has a large scratch and I have lost trust in this shop. After speaking with the Bridgestone claims representative, (which took me calling over 20 times and then contacting Bridgestone Corporate support) Firestone refused to take responsibility for the damage because I did not notice it until after driving off the lot. I spent thousands of dollars for a damaged vehicle to be returned to me and will now have to spend hundreds to have it repaired properly. I am very frustrated with not only this location but Firestone as a whole. I do not recommend anyone bring their vehicle here.

Scheduled an oil change with an inspection of a reported sound heard while operating vehicle. When scheduling told it would be the same day pick up. Dropped off at 10am at scheduled time. Took 30 minutes to even drop the key off the counter where only one person was operating the front desk due to a member calling out sick. Completely understand that circumstance. Called in at 2:30 for an update with no answer. Called back again at 4:30 to see if vehicle was able for pick up. They stated yes and that vehicle was complete just needed a few minutes to write up a report. We show up and wait twenty minutes again with only one person in front of us that whole time. As we begin to get help to attend to our vehicle a phone call interrupts our service. At that time we offered to just come back the next day to pick up early in the morning. When show up the next day the vehicle was back in the shop and apparently never did the oil change the day before like they had said. Waiting another 45 minutes before walking back up to the counter and oil change still not completed. 10/10 would not recommend.

My newly married wife and my first experience at Firestone was wonderful. On our way to the gender reveal party for our first child, we were with a leaking tire. Allen at the front desk and Brandon in the shop raced to get our tire fixed with such kindness and joy, and did an excellent job too! May God reward them!

Will never go back. Spent over $800 to get my daughter’s car inspected. They said i had to get a sensor replaced, and bring it back after driving a couple hindred miles. Did that…twice… then told me the check engine light was coming on due to an exhaust leak. Keep in mind they fixed an exhaust leak during the initial diagnosis!! Also tried to get me on ‘loose battery terminals’…GTFOH

Do not bring your car here. They told me the day before that plugging the hole in my tire would take an hour max. I have now been waiting for 3 hours. The guy at the counter has no idea what he is doing. Do not accept work if you are not able to do it. I will never bring my car here EVER again.
