Firestone Complete Auto Care Introduce

For residents and service members in Fort Liberty, NC (formerly Fort Bragg), seeking an "Auto Repair Station," Firestone Complete Auto Care at 6543 Butner Rd, Fort Liberty, NC 28307, USA, is a widely recognized option. As part of a national chain, this location offers a broad range of automotive services and products. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview, detailing what one can expect from this particular Firestone Complete Auto Care, incorporating direct customer feedback to present a balanced perspective on its environment, services, features, and any implied promotional aspects.

The environment of a Firestone Complete Auto Care, including the Fort Liberty location, is typically designed for both efficiency in service and a degree of customer comfort. It would feature multiple service bays equipped with lifts and diagnostic tools necessary for a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance. There is usually a dedicated customer waiting area, often equipped with seating, Wi-Fi, and sometimes a television or refreshments, to accommodate customers during their vehicle's service. The counter area serves as the primary point of contact for check-ins, service discussions, and payments. However, customer reviews for this specific location highlight significant concerns regarding the actual customer experience within this environment. One review explicitly states arriving at 2:30 PM for a car dropped off at 8:45 AM for a simple tire installation, only to find the vehicle hadn't even been started, and then being asked to wait another 30 minutes. This indicates potential issues with workflow management, staffing, or scheduling that directly impact the perceived efficiency and professionalism of the environment, despite the physical setup. Another review mentions a long wait time for a simple tire rebalancing and a subsequent issue with the tire pressure light, further suggesting that the promised efficiency of the "Auto Repair Station" environment may not consistently be met at this location.

Firestone Complete Auto Care generally provides a comprehensive suite of automotive services, aligning with its "Complete Auto Care" branding. These services typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Tire Services: Sales of new tires (including Firestone, Bridgestone, and other brands), tire installation, balancing, rotation, flat repair, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) services. The customer reviews indicate that tire services, such as new tire installation and rebalancing, are indeed offered.
  • Routine Maintenance: Oil changes (conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic), battery checks and replacement, fluid exchanges (transmission, coolant, brake), wiper blade replacement, and vehicle inspections.
  • Brake Services: Brake inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and brake fluid service.
  • Repair Services: Diagnostic services, engine repair, steering and suspension repair, alignment, and A/C service.
However, the customer feedback for the Fort Liberty location raises concerns about the execution of these services. While tire installation is a fundamental service, a 6-hour wait for two tires and the subsequent lack of communication is a significant service failure. Similarly, a tire rebalancing leading to a persistent tire pressure light and then being asked to wait another hour for a fix highlights a potential for new problems arising from services and a lack of immediate resolution or prior communication.

The features of Firestone Complete Auto Care as a national chain include its extensive network of locations, often providing a consistent brand experience and the convenience of widespread service access. Their official websites highlight features like online appointment scheduling, detailed service explanations, and a focus on using quality products from trusted brands. For this specific Fort Liberty location, based on the provided reviews, the features that stand out (both positive and negative) are:

  • Online Appointment Scheduling: Customers can book appointments, which is a convenience feature. However, the efficacy of this feature is undermined if appointments are not honored within reasonable timeframes, as experienced by the customer who dropped off their car at 8:45 AM for a 12:00 PM pickup that never materialized.
  • Comprehensive Service Offerings: The ability to get tires and various auto repairs at one location is a standard feature of "Complete Auto Care" centers.
  • Lack of Communication: A critical negative feature is the apparent lack of proactive communication regarding delays. The absence of a "heads up" on a 6-hour delay for a simple tire change is a significant detractor from the service experience.
  • Extended Wait Times: The consistent theme across both reviews is unacceptable waiting periods for services, even for scheduled appointments or follow-up fixes for issues created by the shop.
  • Problem Resolution: While the shop may offer to fix issues, the expectation of customers to wait extended periods for a resolution to a new problem caused by the initial service (e.g., the tire pressure light) is a negative feature.
These features, particularly the negative ones, suggest a gap between the brand's intended service delivery and the actual customer experience at this specific location.

Regarding promotional information, Firestone Complete Auto Care nationally runs various promotions and discounts, which would typically apply to this location as well. These commonly include:

  • Tire Offers: Rebates or discounts on sets of Firestone or Bridgestone tires, often with additional savings for using a Firestone Credit Card.
  • Service Coupons: Discounts on oil changes (standard, synthetic blend, full synthetic), brake services, battery checks, and wheel alignments. For example, there might be offers like "$20 Off Any $100 Service Purchase" or "Free Brake Inspection."
  • Membership/Credit Card Exclusives: Special deals or financing options for Firestone Credit Card holders.
  • Online Specials: Promotions are usually advertised on their website, allowing customers to view and print coupons or apply them online.
However, for this specific location at 6543 Butner Rd, the strong negative customer feedback ("Do NOT recommend this location!", "Don’t go, spend your money elsewhere") could significantly counteract the effectiveness of any general promotional efforts. While national promotions aim to attract customers, the local reputation built from actual service experiences plays a crucial role in converting interest into repeat business. Therefore, while Firestone Complete Auto Care as a brand heavily promotes its services and value, the direct feedback from customers at this Fort Liberty location suggests that the service delivery issues may overshadow any positive promotional messages for local users.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Customer Reviews

Do NOT recommend this location! I was promised on 3 separate occasions of when my vehicle would be ready for pickup, and I scheduled an appointment. I dropped my car off at 0845 for 2 new tires. I was informed my vehicle would be ready by lunch, no later than 1200. I arrived at 2:30 to pick up my car and my vehicle still wasn’t started! Then they expected me to wait in the store for another 30 minutes. Very unacceptable. They didn’t even call to give me a heads up on the delay so that I could plan better. They could’ve easily communicated the actual time hack so that I could’ve made a better decision or plan. However, there’s no reason replacing two tires should ever take 6 hours. Nor should anyone be required to pay such large sums of money for poor service. Don’t go, spend your money elsewhere.

Went in for my tires rebalanced and took a bit but it was fine then my tire pressure light has been on since. It has the correct amount of air. I called to ask them about it and they told me to come in and they could plug something in to get rid of the light at 4:30. I come in and tell me it’s gonna be an hour!! They want me to wait an hour for something that wasn’t a problem before I came in!! Causing a new problem then wanting me to wait an hour to fix it!

TELL YOUR PVTs to Avoid this place as much as possible. You can go in for an inspection, but that’s it. Do not accept any service offers or suggestions they give you. They are not trying to help you—they are trying to make money off you. One of my PVT went to this place over the weekend because the rear sway bar link on his private vehicle fell off. The part costs only about $30 each, yet this shop charged SM $80 per piece, non OEM. For just two sway bar links and labor, they charged SM $270. Since the soldier didn’t know much about vehicles, they also replaced his right CV axle and charged him $740, even though the part itself costs no more than $150 if bought from RockAuto. In total, they charged a PVT $1,000. Originally, the PVT only needed a rear sway bar link replacement—a job that involves just four nuts and takes less than 30 minutes. I could have done it myself for around $50 in parts. This place takes advantage of people who don’t know much about cars. Stay away. The soldier is young brand new PVT. this 1000 dollars is very expensive lesson fee for the SM.

I came in for a simple nail in my tire and left with a quote for over $800 in recommended services — including a new battery, tire alignment, wiper blades, and a fuel system service. What they didn’t know is that my battery and tires are only a year old, and my wiper blades were replaced just a few months ago. To make it worse, when I checked my receipt, it showed they didn’t even test the battery they claimed needed replacing. That was a big red flag for me. The whole experience felt like an attempt to upsell unnecessary services, and I couldn’t help but feel they assumed I wouldn’t question it — possibly because I’m a woman. I’m sharing this so others don’t fall prey to the same tactics. Get a second opinion before agreeing to any major work. I won’t be returning to this location, and I can’t recommend it for anyone expecting honest service.

No complaints everything was great. I set up an appointment with Michael and he really went above and beyond to make sure that I had the tires that I wanted to fit my truck. The general manager Randall actually transported the tires from out of town so that I could get my truck done when I wanted to and made sure that I saved the most amount. Thanks for a job well done and great customer service!
