Firestone Complete Auto Care

My appointment for new tire installation was very disappointing. The process took almost 4 hours, far too long for just two tires. There was poor communication throughout, and they swapped my stylish, newly purchased tire caps for generic ones and left my car dirty. The next day, I noticed the brake light was on and found they had drained my brake fluid during the service. After a mechanic inspected my car, there was no leak. For the time and cost, I expected much better service and won’t be returning.

I made an appointment and went for an oil change and an inspection. This should have taken no longer than 3 hours. I got here by 10 and was leaving near 4. They found so much "issues" and I just needed them fixed as snowy weather was approaching. I asked if the service manager if he could help with the pricing, and he managed to knock off a few bucks. However, the whole situation with it taking long and whatnot, the workers felt iffy. But then later I show my friend, who's an army mechanic, the bill, and he said they cheated you out of money, and they definitely shouldn't have taken that long. Cherry on top, not that long after getting my car "fixed", I found it hard to drive and the car didn't seem aligned even after the alignment. I took my car somewhere else to get it checked out, and it turns out that the new part that was installed (the front axel) was busted. Whether it be due to poor installation or defect item, this was incredibly dangerous - I could have been in a serious accident. I called and asked if anything could be done. They said to come in and talk with the service manager. I came in, and the employee at the front desk played middle man where the service manager didn't even come out to address us. I was told to come back when the manager was there. Thankfully, the manager was able to help me out. But overall, it was a horrible experience. I don't trust this place and will never be coming back.

Don't bother making an appointment -it's pointless. I stopped in when they opened on Saturday morning and the they guy at the counter told me it'd be an hour and a half for a state inspection because he was down 3 guys. So I made an appointment for 930 on Thursday. The gentleman assured me it'd be quick. I showed up 15min early, but they guy at the counter this time told me an hour and half. I asked, "Even with an appointment?" He nodded and replied, " yes." So I left. I don't know that I'm coming back here again. I've used Firestone for 15 years, but this is ridiculous.

I trust the repairs performed at Firestone and prices are usually reasonable. However, this time I was given a price quote of $1,070 for a radiator replacement. I called my regular repair shop (it’s a bit farther away which is why I came to Firestone), and they quoted me a price of $625 for the same repair job. So I had the car towed by AAA from Firestone and my repair job was completed in a few hours by my trusted repair shop. The name of that repair shop is “Tires Inc.” in Patchogue and I’ve been a happy customer for 25 years.

I went to have my breaks serviced after being given what I thought was a crazy price from the dealership service center and being told I needed to replace both front & back breaks. I easily made an appointment online which I’m glad I did because they were very busy. Mandrake greeted me and listened to what i had been told by the dealer. He said the tech would evaluate my breaks and then give me a recommendation, to which he came back with I only needed the back breaks done, the front still had plenty of pad left. So the dealer wanted to charge me for work not necessary. I highly recommend this Firestone location. All the Techs are very helpful and I always feel like they are honest and give you the best service recommendations. They’re not trying to charge you for random services you may not really need. The dealer also told me I needed to do a tune-up and after asking while I was there the Tech showed me that the manufacturer recommends it’s done between 90-100K miles not the 70 the dealership was recommending. I will definitely be taking my vehicle back to this Firestone location when it is time for the tune-up & my next services.

Decided to purchase a Lifetime Alignment package from Firestone after reading up on the benefits and competitive pricing they offer. Like most customers, I was a bit skeptical of Firestone at first glance. Chose to give the Westbury location a shot and called to set up an appointment - I wouldn't waste your time trying to be assisted as a walk-in. Came in early on a Saturday to a work order already written up greeted by friendly staff. Since I wasn't the only customer, it was about an hour wait until my car was touched. However, once the car was set up on the alignment rack, the technician finished the job faster than I expected. You get what you pay for here - expect all your alignment specs to be in the green, but don't be surprised if they only set the toe specs and leave the rest alone. I did appreciate the before/after printout prepared for me without asking - some shops don't bother with printouts, or make a fuss when you ask. Customer service was pleasant throughout and the waiting room was good enough. I'll be back in 6 months for the second round of lifetime alignments, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good deal. If you have a normal, everyday car that you're planning to keep for a while, a lifetime alignment from Firestone is worth considering.

I had an amazing experience at the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Westbury, NY! After a terrible experience with my lifetime alignment package at the Port Jefferson location, I decided to try out this Westbury Firestone for my second alignment, and I'm so glad I did. From the very start, the employee who answered my call was incredibly kind, patient, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I specifically asked if they would provide a before-and-after printout of my alignment, and they assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived, they took me in right away and told me it would take about an hour. The waiting room had coffee, which was a nice touch. They finished my alignment in about 45 minutes, and as promised, they provided me with the before and after printout. Looking over the printout, I was so impressed – everything was right in the middle of the spec range, not rushed like at the Port Jefferson location, where they barely hit the green on the rear left camber. They didn’t attempt to upsell me on anything, which I really appreciated. None of the gripes I had with the Port Jefferson location – like the rushed work or the false promises – were an issue here. This location is absolutely top-notch, and I will definitely be coming here exclusively for all my future alignments. Everything went exactly as promised, the job was done perfectly, and there were no issues. Highly recommend this Firestone!

Service was excellent. Personnel were very cordial and helpful. Didn't pressure me, like some auto repair shops have done. Told me what was needed and what could be done next time in. Trust them more than I trust my former auto repair.

This my second time bringing a vehicle to this location and each time has been excellent. The managers are friendly and communicative. The prices were fair for the job done and I will continue to bring my 3 vehicles to them for all my service and needs. Thank you again guys awesome job as always!!!
