Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair Introduce

For local users in Fayetteville, NC, requiring specialized service for trucks and heavy-duty vehicles, Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair presents itself as an option within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. Located at 327 McMillan St, Fayetteville, NC 28301, USA, this business operates primarily as a mobile repair service, aiming to provide on-site assistance for a variety of industrial vehicles. They can be contacted at (910) 537-3111 or via mobile at +1 910-537-3111.

Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair positions itself as a solution for situations where transporting a large vehicle to a traditional repair shop is inconvenient or impossible, offering the advantage of repairs conducted at the customer's location. This service model is particularly beneficial for commercial truck drivers, fleet operators, and individuals with heavy equipment that experiences breakdowns on the road or at a job site. Their website highlights 24/7 service, emphasizing a commitment to quick turnaround times to get trucks back on the road promptly, minimizing downtime for businesses.

Environment and Service Model

As a mobile repair service, Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair does not operate a traditional fixed-location garage environment for customers to visit. Instead, their "environment" is wherever the breakdown occurs – roadside, a fleet yard, or a construction site. This on-site model is designed for convenience, eliminating the need for towing heavy vehicles, which can be costly and time-consuming. The service relies on their technicians traveling to the customer's location with necessary tools and parts.

The customer experience, therefore, revolves around communication and the efficiency of the mobile unit. The company aims to provide immediate assistance for breakdowns, which is a critical service for the trucking industry where time is money. Their stated goal is to "make the most of your time and get your truck back on the road today, not next week," indicating a focus on rapid response and resolution.

Services Offered

Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair specializes in a range of services for industrial vehicles, including semi-trucks, farm equipment, and buses. While the provided reviews indicate some specific experiences, the company's website generally outlines comprehensive mobile truck repair capabilities. These services are typically delivered on-site using their mobile units. Common services offered by such mobile truck repair companies include:

  • Emergency Roadside Assistance: Addressing breakdowns directly at the location where the vehicle is stranded.
  • Engine Diagnostics and Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing engine issues for various diesel and heavy-duty engines.
  • Brake System Repair: Including work on rotors, drums, shoes, pads, and air lines.
  • Cooling System Overhaul: Repairs and replacements of radiators, hoses, pumps, and fluid systems.
  • Suspension Repair: Fixing shocks, struts, springs, bushings, and control arms.
  • Electrical System Troubleshooting: Addressing issues with batteries, alternators, starters, and wiring.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Providing on-site preventative maintenance for multiple vehicles.
  • Tire Services: Repairing or replacing tires on-site.

They claim to have "all the necessary replacement parts in stock for a complete cooling system overhaul," and use "quality oil and change materials," suggesting an emphasis on using appropriate components for repairs. Their technicians are described as "highly trained," aiming to provide "prompt and efficient service wherever you are."

Features and Customer Feedback

Based on the provided customer reviews, there are significant points of feedback regarding Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair:

  • Mobile Convenience: The primary feature is undoubtedly the mobile nature of their service, bringing repairs directly to the customer's location, which is invaluable for heavy-duty vehicles that are difficult to transport.
  • Responsiveness (Contradictory Accounts): While the company aims for quick response, one review notes a 4-hour arrival time, which, for an emergency mobile service, can be lengthy. This indicates inconsistency in their response times.
  • Pricing Concerns: Multiple customers have expressed serious concerns about pricing. One review explicitly states being "overcharged like crazy," citing a $500 charge for parts (thermostats) plus a $250/hour rate, which the customer found "ridiculous." Another review highlights a $700 charge for 20 minutes of work that ultimately did not resolve the issue, with the root cause later being identified and fixed for significantly less by another shop. This suggests potential issues with transparency and fairness in their billing.
  • Effectiveness of Repairs: The effectiveness of the repairs is a point of concern. In one instance, a $700 repair did not fix the problem, with the issue recurring just 9 miles down the road. The subsequent repair by another company for a much lower cost highlights a potential lack of thoroughness or accurate diagnosis.
  • Invoicing Discrepancies: A critical point of concern raised by a customer is that the "invoice isn't under the name listed on google, invoice is under United Concrete Asphalt and Grading." This discrepancy can lead to confusion, lack of accountability, and potentially legal issues regarding business identity and billing practices. Publicly, United Concrete & Asphalt appears to be a separate business primarily focused on concrete and asphalt services, raising questions about the relationship or operational structure of Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair.
  • Customer Dissatisfaction: The reviews explicitly use strong negative language such as "scammers" and "HIGHLY recommend using a different mobile repair company!! If I could give 0 stars I would," indicating very low customer satisfaction in these specific instances.
Promotional Information and Reputation

While the company's own marketing, as seen on their website, emphasizes being "dedicated to providing the highest quality truck repair services available" and being "committed to providing our customers with the best possible service," the provided customer reviews present a stark contrast to these claims. The reviews suggest that the actual customer experience, at least in some recorded instances, has fallen far short of the advertised promises of quality, efficiency, and fair pricing. The negative feedback regarding overcharging, ineffective repairs, and questionable invoicing practices heavily impacts the perceived reliability and trustworthiness of Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair.

In a service industry, particularly one involving critical commercial vehicles, a strong positive reputation is paramount. The current public feedback available paints a picture of a business that, despite offering a convenient mobile service, may struggle with consistent service quality, transparent pricing, and overall customer satisfaction. Potential customers relying solely on these reviews would approach Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair with significant caution due to the severe negative experiences reported.

Fayetteville Mobile Truck Repair Customer Reviews

Overcharged like crazy. Got called out to replace some thermostats, charged 500 dollars just for parts, plus their 250 an hour rate, which is ridiculous. Invoice isn't under the name listed on google, invoice is under United Concrete Asphalt and Grading. These guys are scammers.

Dispatched him to our driver, for a possible air leak. Took 4 hours to arrive at my driver, worked on the truck for 20 minutes, claimed there was no air leak on the semi truck. He tighten the lines and adjusted the brakes. He proceeded to charge me $700.00 for this. My driver traveled down the road 9 MILES, the brakes started smoking again same issue. We then proceeded to Transource, LLC to be fixed. Upon examination, the airline was kinked and it was only $236.33 to repair. I would HIGHLY recommend using a different mobile repair company!! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Do NOT use this “company” at all. Practically a scam, charge astronomical numbers and didn’t complete the task whatsoever. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere!
