Extreme Auto Body Introduce

Located at 1347 61st St, Brooklyn, NY 11219, USA, Extreme Auto Body operates as an "Auto Repair Station" within the local Brooklyn community. They can be reached via phone at (917) 626-7659 or mobile at +1 917-626-7659. The available customer reviews for Extreme Auto Body present a significantly contrasting picture, making it important for potential customers to consider both perspectives when evaluating their services.

One customer provides a highly negative assessment, stating, "Do Not Bring Your Car Here! This place is terrible. They will promise you everything under the sun. Then when they say the car is ready, everything they promised you is NOT DONE and the car is filthy. Please save yourself the headache. I was desperate and foolish and they took advantage and OVER CHARGED ME! I Wouldn't send my worst enemy to this shop. I wish someone told me this ahead of time. Dealing with this crooked father - Son duo made my 2020 even WORST!" This review points to alleged issues with unfulfilled promises, vehicle cleanliness upon return, overcharging, and overall dissatisfaction with the service. In stark contrast, another customer offers strong praise: "Sayyed & Luis are the only guys I work with. I lived in Brooklyn and was quoted $1800 for a repair on a control arm repair in Park Slope and Sayyed got it done for me for $600 flat- no “oh it might cost more when I open it” kinda talk. I moved from Brooklyn recently and still come back for all my needs. Quality service and honest dealings." This positive review highlights competitive pricing, transparent dealings, and consistent quality service over time, even after the customer moved out of the immediate area. These divergent experiences suggest that customer satisfaction with Extreme Auto Body may vary significantly.

Environment of Extreme Auto Body

As an auto repair station, Extreme Auto Body would typically operate within a facility designed to handle vehicle repairs. This would include a garage or workshop area equipped with various tools and machinery necessary for automotive work. These might range from diagnostic equipment and lifts for undercarriage access to specialized tools for bodywork, engine repairs, or other services they provide. There would likely be a waiting area or reception space where customers can check in their vehicles, discuss repairs, and wait for service completion. The overall organization and cleanliness of an auto repair environment can vary significantly from shop to shop. Based on the conflicting reviews, one customer describes the returned car as "filthy," which could suggest that the shop's operational environment might not always prioritize cleanliness to the extent some customers expect. Conversely, a customer who consistently returns for service implies a level of professionalism and order that encourages repeat business, at least in the service bay itself. Therefore, without more specific details, the environment is likely a functional repair shop, but its adherence to high standards of cleanliness and order in practice might be inconsistent based on customer feedback.

Services and Goods for Sale

As an "Auto Repair Station," Extreme Auto Body likely provides a range of services related to vehicle maintenance and repair. While the reviews specifically mention "control arm repair" and general "needs," the typical services offered by an auto body or repair shop include:

  • General Automotive Repair: This encompasses a wide array of services such as brake repair and replacement, suspension work (like control arm repair mentioned in a review), exhaust system repairs, fluid changes, and tire services.
  • Diagnostic Services: Utilizing specialized equipment to identify the root cause of vehicle issues, including engine lights, electrical problems, and performance concerns.
  • Engine Repair and Maintenance: From minor tune-ups and oil changes to more extensive engine diagnostics and repairs.
  • Bodywork and Collision Repair: Given "Auto Body" in their name, this would likely include dent removal, scratch repair, repainting, and structural repairs following a collision. However, the negative review suggests potential issues with the execution of promised bodywork.
  • Pre-Purchase Inspections: Evaluating the condition of a used car before purchase.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Assisting with state-mandated or insurance-required vehicle inspections.

The "goods" sold by an auto repair station are primarily the services rendered, along with any replacement parts used during the repair process (e.g., control arms, brake pads, filters, etc.). The positive review highlights their ability to perform specific repairs at a competitive price, suggesting a focus on providing cost-effective solutions for mechanical issues. The negative review, however, indicates a potential discrepancy between promised and delivered services, as well as issues with billing transparency, which are significant concerns for any consumer of auto repair services.

Features of Extreme Auto Body

Based on the provided customer reviews, Extreme Auto Body exhibits some distinct features, both positive and negative:

  • Contrasting Customer Experiences: This is a primary feature. Some customers laud them for "quality service and honest dealings" and competitive pricing, while others accuse them of being "terrible," "crooked," and engaging in "overcharging" and unfulfilled promises.
  • Competitive Pricing (for some services/customers): The positive review specifically points to a significantly lower quote for a control arm repair ($600 vs. $1800), indicating that they can offer highly competitive prices on certain services. This makes them an attractive option for those seeking cost savings.
  • Transparency in Quoting (for some customers): The phrase "no 'oh it might cost more when I open it' kinda talk" from a satisfied customer suggests that, at least in some instances, they provide upfront and firm quotes, which is a highly valued trait in auto repair.
  • Customer Loyalty (for some customers): The fact that a customer moved from Brooklyn but still returns for all their needs speaks to a strong level of trust and satisfaction built over time.
  • Communication Issues (as per negative review): The negative review highlights a severe breakdown in communication regarding promised work, indicating that what was agreed upon was not delivered.
  • Cleanliness Concerns (as per negative review): The complaint about the car being "filthy" upon return is a specific point of concern regarding the care taken with the vehicle during the repair process.
  • Potential for Overcharging (as per negative review): The accusation of being "over charged" and taking "advantage" is a critical negative feature that can severely damage a business's reputation.
  • Key Personnel: The positive review specifically mentions "Sayyed & Luis," suggesting that these individuals may be central to the customer experience, potentially influencing the quality of service received.

These features illustrate a business with a varied track record, where individual experiences can differ greatly based on the specific interaction and repair. The presence of both extremely positive and extremely negative feedback means potential customers should approach with caution and perhaps conduct thorough due diligence, including clearly outlining expectations and getting written estimates.

Promotional Information

Given the conflicting reviews, Extreme Auto Body's promotional strategy would likely be a delicate balance. While specific promotional offers are not provided in the information, typical strategies for an auto repair shop might include:

  • Competitive Pricing: As demonstrated by the positive review, advertising competitive rates for common repairs could be a strong draw.
  • Free Estimates/Diagnostics: Offering no-cost assessments to attract new customers and build trust.
  • Customer Testimonials (Selective Use): Highlighting positive reviews and loyal customer feedback to showcase their strengths. The challenge here would be to manage the highly negative feedback that is also publicly available.
  • Transparency in Service: Emphasizing clear communication and no hidden fees, directly addressing concerns raised by the negative review.
  • Guarantees/Warranties: Offering a warranty on parts and labor to instill confidence in their repairs, a common practice in the industry.
  • Local Advertising: Using local flyers, community newspapers, or online directories to reach the Brooklyn community.
  • Referral Programs: Encouraging satisfied customers (like the one who consistently returns) to refer new clients.
  • Maintaining a Professional Online Presence: While reviews are mixed, ensuring that basic business information is correct and easily accessible online (like their phone numbers and address) is crucial.

For potential customers, it would be advisable to call Extreme Auto Body at (917) 626-7659 to discuss their specific repair needs, clarify pricing, and inquire about any guarantees or written estimates before committing to service. This proactive approach might help mitigate some of the risks highlighted by the negative customer experience.

Very helpful mechanic and competitive pricing. Easy negotiation and get your car back healthy. Saeid has been at this location for years and is a neighborhood secret. I’m letting you know.

This place is a nightmare. They’ll promise you everything until you pay. They claim to finish the job, tell you to come back but then ignore your phone calls and texts afterwards.
