We had the best experience at Dwain Taylor Chevrolet! We worked with Jerry Maynard and he was very kind and knowledgeable! Our 16-year-old was purchasing her first car and he did an amazing job helping her work within her budget and negotiating a fair price for her. Bought a truck from Dwain Taylor Chevrolet in Murray KY on November 16th 2024. As soon as we drove the truck off the lot it made a loud noise when it went into 4th gear. We immediately took it back to the dealership and let them know what happened they said “ drive it for a week, the truck has to learn the driver and then the problem will go away….” ( also the sales manager * Mike Scott * made the comment “good thing you have a power train warranty good for 30 days)We drove it for a week and it still made the same noise, called the dealership they said to bring it back and they would take a look at it, we brought it in and they recommended a transmission flush so they did that and said to drive it another 500 miles and see if it fixes the problem. Drove it over 500 miles and it still had the same issue, called the dealership back and brought the truck in again. This time all the service guys came to the conclusion that the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced. They said they would have to speak with the sales manager * Mike Scott * if it would be covered or not and get back to us. The sales manager came back and told us they would not cover the cost of the transmission but would buy the truck back from us but would not give us any taxes that we paid or the 4,000 down we payed back. So we said no, that was not right or fair to loose out on that money. The sales manager said the only way the transmission would be fixed and covered would be to buy an extended warranty and PROMISED us multiple times that if we buy it the warranty will cover the cost to replace the whole transmission. So we bought the extended warranty and the sales manager told us to wait 2 months before making the claim and bringing the truck in because the warranty company would know something was going on. So we waited 2 months and brought the truck in for a replacement of transmission. They had the truck for a few days and then called us letting us know the warranty will not coverer the transmission. We contacted the sales manager and said we were promised they would cover the transmission so we need to work something out because that’s what we were promised. The sales manager then let me know the mechanics “misdiagnosed” the transmission and now all of a sudden it does not need one….. ( so it did need one when warranty would cover it but now that it falls back on the dealership all of a sudden the transmission is all good…..?) I have tried multiple times to speak with someone higher up than Mike Scott- but no one will give me a name or anyone to speak with. I will be contacting the better business bureau and the Kentucky state general attorneys office. We have been taken advantage of. Would LOVE to speak with the owner Dwain Taylor himself to make him aware what has happened to us!!!

Had a scheduled appointment on Friday, Oct 18th. We left the vehicle the night before putting the key in the drop box. When i arrived Friday afternoon, the vehicle had not been serviced. As a matter of fact, the keys were in the box. The vehicle sat there all day in front of the service department with no service.
