Plaza Tire Service

Kimberly and Jason were very polite and helpful. They all were very kind and upfront and honest. I never had the feeling of any shady practices as they presented pictures or physical work of what needed done. You can tell they care about their customers. My wife and I are very happy to bring our business there.

Good Experience with the service writers, Hunter and Kim, they took care of our Mini and got it back to us within a couple of hours. We had new rims and tires put on. They are reasonably priced and in a convenient location. I appreciated the call when the vehicle was ready for pick up and for the detailed inspection.

Very shady business practices. The employees were attempting to upsale all of the customers on unnecessary work. My vehicle is regularly serviced by my son, who is an auto tech by trade. In December, my son replaced my air filter, changed the oil, and put new tires on for me. I was with him in the shop when he serviced my vehicle. I have put around 4000 miles on my car since then. I needed an oil change and was not able to get to my son's shop and saw the new Plaza Tire store in Murray. I stopped for a basic oil change. The employee up front came to me about 30 minutes later to tell me I needed a new air filter and provided pics of an air filter looking filthy. She asked should they replace it and I told her no. She stopped in her tracks and asked again, seemingly stunned. I again told her no and that I would have it done by my regular shop. She did not like that response and turned quickly away, stating she would tell them just to put the old one back on. The oil change was finally completed and cost double what it does in other shops. The oil change was in no way quick. They only changed the oil and we were there close to an hour, despite them taking my car back merely minutes after my arrival and they were not at all busy. After getting home, we took a look at the air filter and it is not the same one as in the photo. Crooks. The prices they were quoting for tires was unbelievable and every customer getting tires was being told they now needed rotors, new brakes, etc. I am sure some did need additional work but I doubt everyone there truly needed the services being pushed on them. A customer got his car back and quickly returned while I was waiting. He asked the employee up front to please step outside. She did and then his vehicle was quickly returned to the shop. I can't speak to what was wrong but that certainly did not help my impression. This was my first time ever to a Plaza Tire location. It will be my only time there. I will continue to go to my regular shop and if I get in a jam and need someone closer, I will use Meineke in Murray, as I have practiced regularly. I will never darken the door of Plaza Tire again. Update: I received a phone call from Jason regarding my review. He wanted to explain the airfilter they referenced was a different one than he believed I understood. He told me he would personally put the filter on free of charge if I bought the filter. I thanked him and told him that was not necessary and explained the filter was not the entire problem. I brought up the cost of the oil change being more than double the going rate. He did not want to discuss that piece and went back to the airfilter. He finally got to his point which was "That one star review kind of hurts". I said nothing and waited for him to finish whatever else he had to say but that was it. He simply wanted the review changed. When I did not agree to that, he ended the call. Nothing has changed for me. A standard oil change requesting conventional oil does not cost over $120. Having looked at my receipt, I was charged for synthetic oil that was not requested. That explains part of the cost of the bill but is still incredibly expensive. If you want to get fleeced, Plaza Tire is your place to go.

Specifically the Murray KY location; very thorough VCR performed on my truck. Pretty eye opening once you roll under it and start putting your hands on things, and i appreciate the level of detail with photos and videos of the tech concerns. I have a checklist of repairs now, and I can't recommend these guys enough. Great start to having a new location in Murray!

Just stopped in today for the first time. They were super friendly, and very professional! new technology that benefits the customer! I was impressed and pleased with the pricing and performance!
