CV Performance Introduce

Located at 6380 McLeod Dr #3, Las Vegas, NV 89120, CV Performance is a highly specialized establishment operating within the broader Auto Repair Stations category. Unlike typical auto parts stores that cater to a wide range of vehicles, CV Performance focuses on a very specific niche: providing high-quality performance parts for Harley-Davidson and American V-Twin motorcycles, with a particular emphasis on carburetor and intake components. This makes them a crucial resource for motorcycle enthusiasts and mechanics looking to enhance the performance and reliability of these specific bikes.

While the provided reviews do not offer a direct visual description of the physical environment, the nature of their business and the feedback from customers suggest a professional and organized operation, even if the primary interaction is often online for parts sales. As a company that has been in business for "decades" and produces specialized components like the "Original EZ-Just® mixture screw," their physical location likely houses a well-organized inventory, potentially a small counter for local pickups or consultations, and a dedicated area for packaging and shipping. The emphasis on "quality parts" suggests a controlled environment for storage and handling. Although customer interactions primarily revolve around online orders and email communication, the dedication to resolving shipping issues, even when due to external factors like USPS, indicates a customer service-oriented approach that would translate to a professional demeanor in a physical setting.

CV Performance's services and goods for sale are highly specialized, targeting the performance enhancement and maintenance of Harley-Davidson and other American V-Twin motorcycles, particularly those equipped with CV (Constant Velocity) carburetors. Their offerings include:

  • Harley-Davidson CV Carburetor Parts: This is their core specialty. They provide a comprehensive range of components designed to improve the performance of CV carburetors, including their proprietary products.
  • Performance Tuning Kits: Offering complete tuning kits for Harley-Davidson CV carburetors, such as the "Harley Carb Premium Tuners Kit" and "Harley Carb Tuners Kit." These kits often include custom needles, springs, jets, and vortex delivery emulsion tubes.
  • Proprietary Products: They are known for manufacturing and selling unique products like the "Original EZ-Just® mixture screw" and specialized slide needles and emulsion tubes designed to optimize carburetor performance.
  • Intake Products: Beyond carburetors, they also offer other high-quality intake products to enhance airflow and engine efficiency.
  • Replacement Parts: Providing essential replacement components for motorcycle carburetors, including jets and other internal parts.
  • O2 Sensors: They stock oxygen sensors for various Harley-Davidson models, including Big Twins, Sportsters, and V Rods.
  • Diagnostic Information & Resources: Their website often features articles and guides on common issues like "Harley MAP Sensor problems" and "Common Carburetor Fuel Leaks," indicating an advisory role for their customer base, though they specify they cannot provide direct diagnostic advice via contact forms.
Their focus on improving the "performance potential" and "enjoyment of the motorcycle riding experience" is central to their product line.

Several key features distinguish CV Performance in the market. Firstly, their deep specialization and decades of experience in Harley-Davidson and V-Twin carburetion and intakes set them apart. This long-standing expertise allows them to produce and recommend products that truly enhance performance. Secondly, the quality of their parts is a consistent highlight. Customers explicitly state receiving "quality parts" and praise the effectiveness of their tuning kits, with many noting a significant improvement in throttle response and overall engine performance. They pride themselves on products that "set quality above all else." Thirdly, while initial customer reviews highlighted communication and shipping concerns, the company's demonstrated commitment to resolving issues is a notable feature. The update from a customer, where CV Performance acknowledged a USPS error and promptly shipped a new order via priority mail, showcases their dedication to customer satisfaction despite external challenges. This responsiveness, when properly channeled through their contact methods, builds trust and demonstrates accountability. Their detailed instructions and helpful instructional videos also contribute to a positive customer experience, empowering riders to install products correctly. Finally, their status as a producer of original and often imitated products underscores their innovation and leadership in the motorcycle performance parts sector.

From a promotional standpoint, CV Performance primarily leverages its strong reputation for product quality and its specialized niche. While traditional sales or discounts aren't highlighted in the reviews, the consistent positive feedback on product performance serves as a powerful ongoing promotion. The fact that their products are "highly recommended" and can make a bike "run like it should" are key selling points for their target audience. Their technical resources, such as FAQs and troubleshooting pages, also act as a form of promotion by demonstrating expertise and providing value to potential customers. For those seeking to upgrade or repair their Harley-Davidson or American V-Twin carburetor and related performance components, CV Performance offers a reliable source for high-quality, specialized parts backed by years of industry experience. Customers are encouraged to visit their website for product details, check authorized dealers, and use their online contact form for inquiries, particularly keeping their order number handy for efficient service, as indicated by previous customer experiences. Their phone number, (800) 473-1287 or +1 800-473-1287, is primarily for reaching their general contact lines, but email and online forms are emphasized for specific order inquiries.

CV Performance Customer Reviews

***Final update*** 5/22/2021 Please read my entire review if you'd like to know my experience with cv performance. I just received my order 4 days after cv contacted me via email. The entire and correct order of quality parts. These guys have been in business for decades so I was very concerned when I didn't get my parts when I should have. However, it turns out the USPS is at fault for that. I personally believe it. Whether you do or not is up to you. If you order parts from them, keep an eye on the tracking number. If you don't receive your parts in 10-12 days, send them your email and order number through the contact us menu on their page. They will respond in less than a week. If they don't, don't be afraid to contact a few of their authorized dealers. I am very satisfied with my parts now that they have arrived. I will be ordering again in the next few days and will post a review for that order with hopefully little to no complications. Thanks CV. My bike now runs like it should. **Update** 5/18/2021 I got an email from them today. It looks like it was on USPS losing the package. I sincerely hoped it was USPS's fault since this company came highly recommended. They are shipping me a new order priority mail. I will update once again when I receive it. **Initial review** 5/15/2021 I've heard so many great things about this company. I ordered parts from them over a month ago in early april. Same thing everyone else is saying. No contact from them, nothing other than shipping label created. Definitely starting to get worried.

Ordered KLR650 CVK40 slide. after 12 days still no confirmation of shipping, Company promptly billed my credit card, but as of day 12 still has not shipped order. Have attempted to contact company to no avail. No customer support phone number. As of today, very poor customer support and therefore cannot recommend purchasing any products from this company.

Starting to worry that this company is a scam. Order placed at the beginning of June 2020, said it shipped and still has not arrived. Was sent a tracking number, Tracking never showed it was picked up, only a label made. Where is it?? Company has zero phone number listed and once you find it through a google search you can never talk with anyone directly or leave a message... only asks you to submit your request online, which I have done. I understand this is a trying time, but customer services is still important and this company is poor. At this point, I'm done with them and just want my money back.

I placed an order for 2 parts exactly one week ago, have had 0 contact since then, still no parts, no tracking info, but they yank money out of your account instantly. No phone number, no customer service line, nothing. I don't care if its Covid related or not, this is unacceptable. 11/13/2020 Edit, Still no word or email from this company regarding my order. I will be canceling my order and taking my money elsewhere. Absolutely garbage business practices, garbage customer service and absolutely unacceptable to blame it all on Covid. Almost every other business has figured out how to operate, theres no excuse for it.

Similar to other reviews, I ordered a few parts two weeks ago. I saw the COVID update saying it may take an extra 5 days, but the USPS tracking still shows Pre-shipment. I'm hoping it will come soon as I need to get my bike back up and running. I sent a couple emails along the process and never heard back, there is no phone number on their website and the one on Google has no voice mail option :|
