Cummins Sales and Service

We are on a long road trip from Alaska to Florida in our Winnebago Journey motorhome. On our way out of Albuquerque, a low coolant light and check engine light came on just before the engine stopped. We called Cummins and they set an appointment for it. We were able to “limp” back into town and they got us slipped into their schedule 30 minutes after we had called them. A leaky hose was discovered. We were back on the road three hours after arriving! Everyone was very friendly. They have a nice customer waiting room which is dog-friendly. What we really appreciated was their concern in getting us back on the road as soon as possible, which included the assurance if they couldn’t get us in same day, they have plug-ins available where we could stay overnight and they’d get to us the next morning. Even though we didn’t need to stay overnight, it was comforting to know that was an option. We highly recommend this Cummins service center.

I came in same day after scheduling an appointment on the phone for a check engine light on my 2019 international 26-foot box truck. My expiernce with other shops and dealerships in town was, drop off your truck, wait a day for them to diagnose the truck, then you have to call multiple times a day after to get updates. I am working a 7 day route for amazon relay (peak season) so it was crucial to get the truck in and out the same day so I wouldn't lose any days on my route. I explained that to Josh the service tech who checked me in. Within the hour he had the truck diagnostics, they had all the parts and filters we needed, he got a tech right on it and it was back running like a champ in what seemed like no time. I'm writing this becuse I truly thought this was an impossible type service in this city. I will have no problem giving Cummins all my business in the future. You guys helped me keep my business rolling and continued to provide for my family and that is much appreciated!

I didn’t end up having service done at this location, but I can tell you that their courtesy and professionalism is top-notch! We were on an RV road trip when we had an issue with our generator and we’re concerned so we stopped in, Josh gave us an estimate for the repair, ensured us that it was safe to drive the RV as long as we didn’t use the generator and both Matthew in the main office and on site technician Josh were extremely helpful. Thank you guys for your help today! We will follow up with Cummins at home when we get back from the road trip.

Great experience again! Cummins Coach Care center with a great focus on RV engines and generators. The facility has 4 RV spots inside the fence with 50/30 AMP electric hookups. At night after the gate closes they will give you a gate clicker that will open it so you can get in and out. Staff and facility are very RV-friendly. We had a non-starting QD8000 generator and they were able to diagnose it as a loose wire and get us back on the road quickly. Call ahead for an appointment!

We can’t say enough about this place!! Gaelon Tanner was very accommodating in switching our appointment time due to us not receiving our DEF head for our motorhome as planned!! Gaelon Tanner is awesome at what he does. He and his team really made our day and got us back on the road very quickly!!

Pulled in with the Check engine light on. Tech said I needed an exhaust manifold and the front brake oil seal was bad. Well $6000 later, I jumped in, and I had more light on the dash than when I arrived (now the ABS light is on). They meshed with it another day and said good to go! Halfway home, I had to have my motorhome towed due to a plugged DPF, the manifold was not the issue. On the next trip out, smelled burning and found the front driver's brakes were overheated. Another tow found out the brake calibers and pads were not installed properly. Had to repair their repairs...I would recommend any repair shop other than this one. They have a large learning curve going on....

While driving east on I40, Had the dreaded mil light come on in our 45 foot tiffin allegro bus. Code said fuel filter was clogged I Cheney the fuel filter, but mil light wouldn't go out. Stopped in to get it checked out. Josh ran the codes for me, said mil light would eventually go out and it was safe to keep driving. Didn't charge us for the visit. 1st class service. After looking at some of the reviews, it appears some people who stop in treat the employees like second clad citizens. If you do that, you deserve the tangent you get. All cummins employees over come in contact with are great mechanics and care about your rig. As long as you treat them right. Most times I tip the mechanics before they start working on our coach. Amazing how great of service I always get. No I don't have to do this, but I like testing people well.
