Took this guy a block and set of heads SBC. that I got with a car I bought with a blown motor. So I tell Jerry I know nothing about the block and heads and I want them pressure checked, and magna fluxed, and i want the block punched 30 over for my new pistons. I also wanted a 5 angle valve job on these old crappy smog heads and new springs on them. A month goes by, and I show up to get my parts. He says the bill is a thousand bucks! He opened the spring pockets on the heads, put HUGE springs on them, and punched the block. I was pissed. He billed me 560 to freshen up STOCK heads! and 440 for blockwork. Wouldn't give me a receipt, either. Just scribbled on a piece of paper. So I take the stuff home, assemble it, put it in the car, and I got water flowing out from under the car. 5 inch crach in the block, and a 3 inch crack between the exhaust ports on one head. I call him up, and tell him how pissed I am, and the ols douche canoe says" didn't YOU check it for cracks!? What an idiot. and even dumber, I paid him in cash. The only reason I didnt throw the block and heads through his front window, is because it is plexiglass. I guess I am not the first person he has screwed. His receipt literally just said " machine block and heads" so I couldn't sue him. Don't walk from this business, run!!!!!! Doug in Litchfield gets all my machine work now. When this Jerry idiot dies, and it will be soon, I will buy all his equipment at auction, and open a real Machine Shop in Adrian.... ALLEN BELL, CLINTON MI.

ENGINE BUILDERS BEWARE!!!! They lack knowledge! Owner couldnt figure out what was the oil pump on my engine. I had to explan what was and why. I was also screwed over on my block. Nothing was done right. I'm a ASE Certified Mechanic, I've been proudly doing this for 16 years and they're a pathetic example of a machine shop.
