Coughlin Chevrolet of Pataskala Service

Customer service is good. I like the text feature for updates and quote link. However the mechanical service is questionable. They need to review the work history of the vehicle before recommending service. They recommended services on my vehicle that was completed during a previous appointment. My guess is that they go off the system auto recommendations. I had to ask them to look through my vehicle work history in order to remove the unnecessary work. Also I don't appreciate the fee for credit card transactions. I've brought my car here since 2016 and unfortunately I will have to find another place. I miss the times when Nikki West was the service manger at this location.

The staff members appear to be pleasant, but the service department could benefit from improved management. I had scheduled an appointment, and upon arrival, I was informed that the “quick” diagnostic would be completed within two to four hours. However, the service department took an excessive seven hours to complete the task, and the car was still not ready when I needed to leave. Consequently, I had to drive to the dealership at approximately 6:45 p.m. before the service department closed. Upon encountering management, I was informed that they were unaware of the reasons behind the delay. Instead of addressing the issue promptly, they decided to keep the car overnight to conduct a diagnostic test in the morning. This additional step took another hour, resulting in a total delay of nine hours. In my opinion, the service department lacks effective communication and needs to improve its operational efficiency to avoid such situations.

People seem nice, but the service department could be better managed. Scheduled an appointment and on arrival was told it would be over an hour before i would get my "quick" diagnostic because they were short handed. Instead they offered one of their 4 working technicians to drive me home, ok, strange, but then they said the car would need to be there for at least 2 days so they could fix it, no offer of a courtesy vehicle. If you can't keep an appointment, don't offer them. It doesn't take hours to plug a code reader in and pull the codes, it's just that you over booked and hoped we wouldn't notice. Classic case of the front office over promising and the shop under delivering.

Service had my car for 3 full days, just to complete an Oil change, replace one TPM, and replace oil coolant lines. I called 6 times the afternoon of the first day and never could talk to one person and no return phone calls.

Manager and staff very knowledgeable on helping me with my vehicle. I have four different cars and I won’t take them anywhere else.

Always a great experience at Coughlin in Pataskala. Oil change and tire rotation done before I got a few things done and ate at the shopping plaza across the street.
