Colonial Auto Repair LLC Introduce

For vehicle owners in Woodbury, NJ, and the surrounding communities, Colonial Auto Repair LLC, located at 1415 Gateway Blvd, Woodbury, NJ 08096, USA, functions as an "Auto Repair Stations" provider. This establishment aims to address various automotive issues, serving as a local option for vehicle service and maintenance. Customer feedback presents a varied picture, with some highlighting positive aspects while others express significant concerns regarding their experience.

Environment and Accessibility

Colonial Auto Repair LLC is situated on Gateway Boulevard, a location that offers accessibility for local residents in Woodbury. As a typical auto repair station, the environment would comprise a functional garage area equipped with the necessary tools and diagnostic machinery for vehicle repairs. This includes bays for lifting vehicles, workbenches, and storage for parts and equipment. While the positive review praises the mechanic's "work ethnics" and professionalism, the negative review paints a concerning picture of the environment, mentioning "windows down getting rained in" on other cars and "tools and pans of oil that have been sitting for months." This suggests potential issues with the organization and protection of vehicles within the facility, which could impact the overall perceived professionalism and care. An organized and clean shop environment is generally expected to ensure quality work and instill customer confidence. The available phone numbers, (856) 845-0078 and +1 856-845-0078, provide a means for customers to contact the shop, although the efficacy of communication appears to be a point of contention based on certain reviews.

Services and Goods for Sale

As an "Auto Repair Stations" provider, Colonial Auto Repair LLC is expected to offer a range of services to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles. While specific services are not exhaustively detailed in the reviews, the nature of a general auto repair shop suggests they would handle common automotive issues. Based on the negative review, which mentions a car that "was running, but would shut off at operating temperature" and the replacement of a "fuse box," it indicates they perform:

  • Electrical Diagnostics and Repair: Specifically, troubleshooting issues related to the fuse box and electrical systems.
  • Engine Performance Diagnostics: Addressing problems like vehicles shutting off at operating temperature.
Beyond these explicit mentions, a "complete" auto repair service typically includes:
  • General Maintenance: Oil changes, fluid checks and flushes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Brake Services: Diagnosis and repair of brake systems.
  • Suspension and Steering: Repairs related to shocks, struts, and steering components.
  • Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC): Servicing and repairing vehicle climate control systems.
In the process of these repairs, Colonial Auto Repair LLC would be "selling" or utilizing various automotive parts. The negative review specifically mentions the use of a fuse box from a "junkyard," which, if true and without proper testing or disclosure, could be a concern regarding the quality and origin of parts used for repairs. A reputable auto repair shop typically sources parts from reliable suppliers, ensuring quality and often providing warranties on parts and labor.

Features and Customer Experiences

Customer reviews present starkly contrasting features and experiences at Colonial Auto Repair LLC.

Positive Features: One review praises "Pat" (likely a key individual at the shop) for being "very dedicated and professional in his work ethnics" and a "very pleasant man and a great mechanic." This suggests that some customers experience a high level of personal dedication and a positive demeanor from the service provider.

Concerning Features and Experiences: The extensive negative review outlines several serious concerns:

  • Extended Repair Time and Communication Issues: The car was held for "Two months," with the mechanic repeatedly promising to work on it. This suggests significant delays and a lack of timely communication, as the customer had to call to get the car out.
  • Questionable Repair Practices: The use of an untested fuse box from a "junkyard" and the subsequent failure of the car to drive after replacement are significant red flags regarding repair quality and methodology.
  • Negligence in Vehicle Care: Leaving a car window down for a month, resulting in a "soaking wet" interior and rain exposure for other vehicles, indicates a severe lack of care and protection for customers' property.
  • Disorganization: The mention of "tools and pans of oil that have been sitting for months" reinforces the impression of a disorganized and potentially neglected environment.
  • Unresolved Issues: The car was dropped off running but with a specific issue, and after two months and repairs, it was reportedly undrivable.
The dramatic disparity between the reviews makes it challenging to provide a singular objective assessment. While one customer highlights professionalism and dedication, the other details a profoundly negative experience marked by significant delays, potential negligence, and questionable repair methods. The phone numbers, (856) 845-0078 and +1 856-845-0078, are available for contact, but the negative review implies that communication through these channels may not always be effective in resolving issues or providing timely updates.

Promotional Information and Value Proposition

Given the mixed customer feedback, the promotional information and value proposition for Colonial Auto Repair LLC are complex. The positive review suggests a value proposition based on the dedication and pleasant demeanor of "Pat," implying a personal touch and potentially effective mechanical skills for some. However, the comprehensive negative review severely undermines any broad claims of reliability, efficiency, or quality of care. For local users in Woodbury, the decision to use Colonial Auto Repair LLC would involve weighing these contrasting experiences. While some might find a dedicated mechanic as described in the positive review, others might encounter the significant issues detailed in the negative one. Businesses within the "Auto Repair Stations" category rely heavily on trust and reputation. The reported issues regarding vehicle care, repair duration, and quality of parts, if accurate, could significantly impact potential customer trust and willingness to engage their services. Therefore, prospective customers are advised to consider both perspectives and perhaps conduct further research or inquire directly about their specific needs before committing to service at this establishment.

Colonial Auto Repair LLC Customer Reviews

I hope this review helps someone else not to have an experience like I did. Worst mechanic experience I鈥檝e ever had. Two months of Pat telling us he was going to work on the car. A month into having the car he switched out the fuse box, with one he didn鈥檛 test... Then left the window down on the car for a month. Interior was soaking wet and car wouldn鈥檛 drive after he replaced the fuse box with one he got from a junkyard. When we dropped it off there It was running, but would shut off at operating temperature. Had to call to get a tow truck to get it out of there because he kept telling us he wa me going to work on it and he was trying to find another fuse box. Two other cars had windows down getting rained in, tools and pans of oil that have been sitting for months.

AAAAA+ Honest Diagnosis and Superior Service. Drove up from North Wildwood and the trip was well worth my time. I was quoted a ridiculously high price by the local Ford dealership to replace the front brake pads and rotors on our 2012 Lincoln MKX. The dealership also suggested a few other services which were equally overpriced so I started making some calls to find another reputable mechanic. A friend told me that he only uses Colonial Auto Repair in Woodbury because they do honest, reasonably priced work that is done right the first time. Plus they also warranty their work. I normally would not consider driving 80 minutes to get my car serviced. I figured it was worth it to get a quote from them. I called and spoke with Pat the owner. He gave me a quote which was half the price of the what the dealer was going to charge and scheduled the next Saturday morning appointment! When I arrived he had parts delivered very fast and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly. He even took me on the test drive and explained how a few things worked with the braking system. Pat was very informative and gave me complete peace of mind. I give Colonial Auto Repair my highest possible recommendation and suggest them to anyone who needs work done. I will be using them to do my other services. A good, honest mechanic is hard to find. I'm glad I found one.

Pat who is the owner operator of Colonial auto repair and also a personal friend of mine is one of the most honest reliable mechanics in the area. I have been friends with Pat for years. His prices are very fair and his work is excellent. He goes beyond the extra mile to make every customer happy. I am not just talking hey when i had your car on the lift i noticed you were missing this so i replaced it no charge, but i have seen him stop what he was doing to drive customers home they had no rides then go pick them up when the repair was finished. Pat is that kind of person. Give Pat a ring if you need any auto repair work done. Tell him Anthony the drummer sent you!
