Clutchworks Transmissions

I really wanted to like this place, but the state my car has been left in every time I leave the shop has been bittersweet. Lets start with the pros; the prices are great for the services they provide and the owner Mark had a positive upbeat attitude that anyone can appreciate. What started with my car was replacing my clutch and flywheel, and that went fantastic (or so I thought) and relatively fast. It left me eager to head back for any future repairs i would need. Fast-forward a long while my CV axles started wearing out from the miles my car has, leaving it in a poor state of driving, so i went back and got brand new axles that solved the driving issues, and left as a happy customer. Went back and got new wheel bearings to solve a wobble in one of my wheels, went great! Brand new bearings on both hubs. Later after what i thought was a perfectly fine drivetrain turned out to be a leaky transmission from one of the axle seals, I ordered new seals for both sides and went back to have it fixed. After i saw it was still leaking i brought it back, and turns out the driver side CV axle hadn't been inserted properly, after bringing it back they took care of the leak, and didn't even charge me for any labor. Well after a few months later the passenger side started leaking as well. I ordered a new seal, more oil and gave them another call but they were busy, and said next week would be fine. This week i gave them a call 4 hours before they closed and said they wouldn't be able to get it done but bring it in the next morning and they could do it. Every other shop i called told me it would be a 2 hour labor job, I'm not sure why this shop would be any different since they have done this already on my car and know the procedure on how to do it. After trying to stay loyal to Clutchworks, each time I came back Mark seemed less and less eager to help me out. Not to mention the flywheel that was installed with the clutch had worn down to the point it sometimes doesn't start the car unless i roll the car into gear, was this from improper installation? I still don't know. Needless to say I won't be coming back.

Called to get a quote for a transmission swap on my Honda CRV. Very friendly, good customer service and responded quickly. Mark gave me a price. Literally one working day later my car is driving better than ever and charged me exactly what he said he would. Great deal. Very knowledge mechanic. These guys love their job and take pride in their work and helping others.

Prompt, excellent, genial, honest service in replacing my Toyota's clutch. And they went above and beyond: Mark, on his own, straightened a body dent free of charge and when I had trouble contacting Uber for a 30-minute ride home, Dave volunteered to drive me instead!

We brought Mark and his crew my 2008 Ford Explorer because my transmission was acting up, they went through it diligently piece by piece and only changed out the broken ones. His prices were extremely fair for the work they had to do. I am elated and truly grateful with the time and work they put in. Now I feel safe driving my kiddos across country again!! I had my transmission worked on by these guys and they are fantastic!! My trucks a diesel with the the 68re transmission and they knew exactly what was going on and had it done in a few days. Highly recommend
