Cilajet Aviation Grade Paint Sealant Protection for Automotive | Aviation | Marine Introduce

Located at 16425 Ishida Ave, Gardena, CA 90248, USA, Cilajet Aviation Grade Paint Sealant Protection for Automotive | Aviation | Marine operates within the broader category of "Auto Repair Stations" but distinguishes itself with a highly specialized focus on vehicle surface protection rather than traditional mechanical repairs. This establishment is the corporate office and primary hub for a brand that offers advanced paint and surface sealants, primarily distributed and applied through authorized dealerships across the United States. Therefore, while located in Gardena, their direct customer service for applications might be more limited to specific situations, with the primary service delivery often happening at partner dealerships.

The environment at the Gardena address, being the corporate office, would likely be a professional and administrative setting. It's not typically a public-facing service bay or a traditional car wash where vehicles are constantly moving through. Instead, it serves as the operational center for product development, distribution, and training for authorized applicators. While direct application services at this specific address for walk-in customers might be limited, it would house the expertise and resources behind the Cilajet product line. The product itself, designed to be applied by automotive professionals, suggests that the application environment at authorized dealerships would be a clean, controlled setting, crucial for the proper bonding and curing of such advanced coatings.

Cilajet's core service is the provision and application of its proprietary "Aviation Grade" ceramic polymer nanotechnology-based paint sealant, with a graphene additive, for automotive, aviation, and marine vehicles. This product is designed to provide an ultra-hard (9H) protective layer that bonds at the micron level to painted and metal surfaces. The primary benefits of this service include protection against a wide array of environmental contaminants such as acid rain, fading, oxidation, rust, bugs, brake dust, hard water deposits, and bird droppings. It aims to create a mirror-like shine that lasts for years, significantly reducing the frequency and effort required for car washing and eliminating the need for waxing and polishing. Beyond exterior protection, Cilajet also offers interior protection products like "Cilajet Fab" for fabric upholstery and carpet, and "Cilajet Hide" for leather and vinyl, which prevent permanent staining and drying/cracking, respectively. The brand emphasizes that its products conform to rigorous aerospace specifications, including Boeing Specification #D6-17487 and Airbus Specification #AIMS09-00-002, underscoring their durability and protective capabilities.

The key features of Cilajet's offerings are their "Aviation Grade" quality, signifying a level of durability and protection originally developed for commercial aircraft. This implies a product capable of withstanding extreme environmental conditions. The use of ceramic polymer nanotechnology with a graphene additive is a significant technological feature, designed to create a highly hydrophobic and durable shell that repels contaminants and maintains a lasting shine. The company highlights that its products are environmentally friendly, with low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), hypoallergenic, and safe for families and pets. Another significant feature is that Cilajet's automotive paint protection is a "dealer-only product," meaning it is applied by trained professionals at authorized dealerships, ensuring proper application and optimal results. This professional application is crucial for the product's performance and warranty. The warranty itself is a critical feature, promising long-lasting protection, though it is subject to specific terms and conditions, as highlighted by customer feedback. The range of products, extending to interior protection for fabric, carpet, leather, and vinyl, offers a comprehensive solution for vehicle appearance and preservation.

However, an objective assessment requires acknowledging varied customer experiences, particularly concerning the warranty and overall value. While one customer expressed extreme satisfaction, praising "Art" for being "super helpful, understanding, and flexible" and delivering excellent results on a new Tesla Model 3, another customer shared a highly negative experience. This customer, who purchased the ceramic coating from a BMW dealer, reported that the product started failing within a couple of years and found that "most all product defects are essentially not covered under warranty," claiming that the warranty "excludes basically everything that could go wrong with this product." This feedback suggests a potential disconnect between customer expectations and the actual terms of the warranty, leading to significant disappointment and a recommendation to choose a different product due to the high cost (over $1000). This indicates that while the product boasts advanced technology and aerospace-grade claims, customers should thoroughly review the warranty terms and understand its limitations before making a significant investment. The positive review, however, highlights the effectiveness of the product when applied and maintained, and the positive impact of responsive and helpful individual service representatives.

Regarding promotional information, Cilajet, as a brand, engages in various marketing strategies. Since it is a dealer-only product, many promotions are run through authorized automotive dealerships. These can include offers like a "trade-in bonus certificate" when protecting a vehicle with Cilajet, or discounts on the application of the sealant as part of a new car purchase. Dealerships often emphasize the long-lasting shine, reduced maintenance, and environmental protection benefits of Cilajet to incentivize customers. Cilajet also offers a line of aftercare products, such as specialized car shampoo, polish, and gel wax, available for direct purchase (e.g., on Amazon.com) to help customers maintain the coating. These aftercare products themselves serve as a form of promotion, reinforcing the brand's commitment to long-term vehicle care. While direct promotions from the Gardena office might not be publicly advertised for individual consumers, interested parties can contact Cilajet at (310) 320-8000 or +1 310-320-8000 to inquire about finding an authorized dealer or to learn more about the product's benefits and warranty details. The company's online presence, including its website, provides extensive information about the product's technology, applications, and benefits, serving as a primary promotional tool.

I purchased this ceramic coating from my BMW dealer for my X3. Within just a couple of years, it has started failing. When I reached out to Cilajet today, they told me that most all product defects are essentially not covered under warranty. Sure enough, buried in the warranty excludes basically everything that could go wrong with this product. If you want to spend over $1000 to have your vehicle ceramic coated, I highly suggest choosing a different product.

We have Cilajet on both of our cars and couldn’t be happier that we decided to do it. Recently bought a new Tesla Model 3 and thanks so much to Art for being super helpful, understanding, and flexible. He had to travel to our place bc we had sand into he interior and had some mix up in communication but he delivered the results and was super nice through it all. Appreciate Art’s time and expertise! Love how it turned out! Thank you!

The status of my Cilajet treatment at the eight year mark with severe paint loss to the roof of my BMW 5 Series. The dealership never told me about the need for re-application at the five year mark and I couldn't because of the pandemic. Even so, I don't see what benefit Cilajet actually offers if this is what the "additional protection" is. Over $3,500 to fix and Cilajet flatly said the warranty has expired and there's nothing more to say. I'd think twice before spending the extra money on this product at the dealership.

After applying the ceramic I can see swirl marks on my Ram the roof and specially on the hood holds water there making it look dirty daily I’m not sure if dealer didn’t apply this right when I bought the truck. It looks like a lot of areas got skipped. $1000 bucks for nothing. Not sure if warranty will redo it again. ( dealer ? )

They sold us this service at the Kia Downtown LA, which I highly doubt was done, since I do not remember they send me to Cilajet, this is pure business. These places do not have them at the dealership since they have their own location and this is it. Nowadays you have to see what they add since nothing is mandatory to be able to make the purchase of the vehicle. A new vehicle I think it is unnecessary, it is more what they damage the paint and that because I have already seen it.
