Christian Brothers Automotive Bolingbrook

I brought my BMW to Christian Brothers Automotive for an alignment, but after waiting over an hour just for their so-called alignment inspection, they told me they couldn’t perform the service due to supposed suspension issues. They took pictures of the suspension to justify their recommendation and tried to sell me on the repair—but then refused to send me the pictures so I could show them to my trusted mechanic for a second opinion. When I asked why, a man named Paul—who claimed to be the owner—came out with an attitude and was flat-out disrespectful. He said they wouldn’t provide the pictures because I didn’t pay for a full inspection. I explained that I’ve been here before and never had to pay for a full inspection to receive photos. He then asked if I went through with their repair recommendations in the past, and when I told him I didn’t, he admitted that’s why they wouldn’t send me the pictures this time. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect here was disappointing. If you want honest service and to be treated like a valued customer—not just a sale—I’d recommend going elsewhere. They just replied so here’s an edit so I can respond back. If they lie again I will just update it. Talking you you Paul. My response to their reply: To clarify, the hour I spent waiting wasn’t due to being late—it was because they were actively inspecting my suspension. I watched them work on it the entire time. They also claimed I have a pattern of coming in for free diagnostics, but I only received a couple of small inspections I never asked for. Those were done to try and upsell me, not at my request. In their response, they said they do free inspections—but they also told me they couldn’t show me the pictures because it wouldn’t be fair to the technicians without compensation. That doesn’t add up. If it’s truly a free inspection, then why the concern about fairness and pay? Lastly, I trust my mechanic—he just doesn’t have an alignment rack. That’s the only reason I came in. This shop clearly sees customers more as sales than people, and it shows.

We recently purchased a car and shortly after started having a knocking noise on turns. The staff at Christian Brothers Automotive in Bolingbrook inspected the car and were unable to determine the exact cause. What they did was refer me to a body shop and provided a written description and pictures. That was exactly where I needed to go and now the car is fixed and quiet. Thanks.

This is a great place for routine and preventive maintenance. The lobby is comfortable and the inspections include pictures. I like how the estimates are via mobile email and we can select which services we agree too. The proper solutions were made by the technicians and the service was to replace my upper radiator hose. I was on my way to work when I notice smoke steaming from the hood of my car. I pulled over on the expressway to notice my upper radiator hose was cut and under high pressure. This shop was the nearest to me so I drove there and explained to them my situation and asked for their help to get me back on the road. They agreed but told me it will be 30-45 minutes to give me an update after they look at it. The mechanic brought it in right away and did a complete vehicle inspection included with service at no charge. I agreed to the service to replace my radiator hose for $100 and declined the other suggestions due to my schedule(I had to get to work). After agreeing to the service the advisor stated the vehicle would be ready 30-45 minutes once the part arrives. They also tried to sell me a coolant flush as a requirement with hose replacement for an additional $150 which I declined. I was a mechanic and I know that process with the machine takes at least an additional half hour to an hour to flush. Otherwise it’s just a drain and refill. I am a understanding person and realize that in the automotive industry that is a standard practice. However I have a 09 Pontiac Grand Prix and will not be investing into this vehicle. I stated I would buy the coolant and top it off. I would think they would at least offer to help me with getting the coolant from the store as they were already purchasing the upper radiator hose from their supplier, instead I drove to auto zone for two miles with no coolant. I think the mechanic did well but my feedback today is that their service advisor here did not have my best interest. Understanding the customers sense of urgency and attending to their immediate need would provide a better expirence and then deepening that relationship by scheduling a future visit for other repairs would make sense. The mechanic brought the car in right away which I appreciate but the advisor should communicate with the technician and create a quote for the radiator hose and additional RELATED REPAIRS for my time convienece. And after politely refusing to get the flush service offer a solution to help me buy coolant from your supplier for 2 gallons and save me time and I can pay for the parts. I believe the Christian automotive is a great company and have a great system in place. However I feel that their service advisors can use additional training in customer service. They also said they have a free shuttle service but said 15 miles to burr ridge was too far. A fifth teen minute drive.

I’m local Bolingbrook resident and have not utilized Christian Brothers services before. I was in a bind in my way to a wake/funeral out of state. My tire would not fill up the air so I quickly stopped in to see if anything could be done. I wish I had asked the young man’s name at the desk so I could thank him personally. He quickly got up and ran out to assist me. He had it fixed in under 2 minutes. I was so impressed by the service I will be scheduling my next car repairs/oil changes with them. I sincerely thank you for making me feel safer on my travels.

This was my first visit to this establishment. Although I'm sure many shops care about the customers, but this place just seems genuine. They took the time to listen to the issue my wife was telling them what was going on as well as taking a ride with her too hear the clicking noise. What really set things in motion was that my wife didn't feel as if she was being taken advantage of with the repairs. When she called me during and after the ride and wasn't all frantic because she doesn't know anything about cars. The video of the issue and not just someone telling us the issue put her and myself at ease. The prices are fair, and quality of work was great. I would highly recommend this establishment.
