Chicago IL Auto Body Parts Introduce

Chicago IL Auto Body Parts is an establishment located at 2525 United Ln Suite 2, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, USA, operating within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations. While the name might suggest a comprehensive auto repair service, the core offering of this business appears to be the sale of auto body parts, primarily catering to individuals and body shops looking to acquire replacement components for vehicle repairs.

The facility's location in Elk Grove Village makes it accessible to users within the broader Chicago metropolitan area, including those in and around the Chicago suburbs. As an "Auto Repair Station" on a platform, it implies that the business provides goods or services that are directly relevant to vehicle repair and maintenance. In this specific instance, the focus is on supplying the necessary parts for collision repair and body work rather than performing the repair services themselves. The business can be reached via phone at (630) 458-0082 or mobile at +1 630-458-0082. Their office hours are typically Monday through Friday: 9am-5pm CDT, and it's noted that orders are primarily handled online, with phone lines available for customer support in both English and Spanish.

The primary service offered by Chicago IL Auto Body Parts is the provision of auto body parts, which are essential for repairing vehicles after accidents or damage. Their inventory generally includes a range of components such as bumpers (front and rear), fenders (left and right), grills, hoods, headlights, tail lights, mirrors, fog lights, and various related components. They also handle parts related to the cooling and AC system, like condensers and radiators, as well as windshield washer reservoirs. These parts are typically sourced for both import and domestic vehicles, covering a wide array of makes and models. The business emphasizes that they offer "discounted auto body parts" and allow for local pickup in the Chicagoland area to help cut down on shipping expenses. This local pickup option is advertised as a seamless and efficient service for customers to get their parts faster, although same-day pickups are generally unavailable, with non-painted parts typically ready in 2-4 business days and painted parts requiring 7-10 business days for preparation.

A key feature of Chicago IL Auto Body Parts, as advertised, is their purported ability to provide painted auto body parts. This service aims to streamline the repair process for customers by delivering parts that are already color-matched to their vehicle's VIN. Theoretically, this would save customers or body shops the time and expense of painting the new part themselves. However, it is important to note that customer reviews indicate some issues with this service, specifically concerning color matching and part fitment, suggesting that customers should verify the details carefully. They also emphasize that all orders are primarily handled through their website, and they cannot take orders over the phone.

Regarding the environment of the store, as a supplier of auto body parts rather than a traditional service garage, the physical location at 2525 United Ln Suite 2, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, USA, likely functions as a warehouse or distribution center for the parts they sell. This would mean a functional environment designed for storage, inventory management, and potentially customer pickup, rather than a customer-facing showroom or a repair bay. The emphasis on online ordering and local pickup supports this understanding of their operational setup. The customer service aspect, based on reviews, appears to be primarily phone and email-based, handling inquiries about orders, returns, and damage claims.

Based on customer feedback, there are some significant concerns regarding the services and customer experience at Chicago IL Auto Body Parts. Multiple reviews highlight issues with customer service responsiveness, including difficulties in reaching managers or getting timely responses to inquiries, particularly for returns or incorrect parts. Instances of parts not matching the VIN for color or body lines, and parts arriving in a condition deemed "too rough to paint" by body shops, have been reported. The return policy and its execution also appear to be a point of contention for some customers, with claims of being advised returns would be at their expense despite website policies stating otherwise, and difficulties in obtaining return authorizations or refunds. These experiences suggest that while the business aims to provide necessary auto body parts, prospective customers should exercise due diligence, potentially confirming part specifications and return processes thoroughly before making a purchase.

As for promotional information, the company highlights "discounted auto body parts" and the convenience of "Chicagoland Pickup" to reduce shipping costs. Their website also features information related to car care, such as "Do Tinted Windows Keep Cars Cooler?" and guides on replacing and cleaning AC condensers, indicating an effort to provide value-added content for car owners. However, explicit promotional offers like discounts or sales are not consistently detailed across publicly available information, apart from mentions like "MEMORIAL WEEKEND SALE 5% OFF On Any Order over $200" which suggests periodic sales events.

In summary, Chicago IL Auto Body Parts positions itself as a supplier of auto body components for various vehicles, aiming to provide convenience through online ordering and local pickup options, including a service for pre-painted parts. While the premise is to offer a straightforward solution for acquiring replacement auto body parts, potential customers should be aware of reported challenges related to customer service, product accuracy (especially with painted items), and the return process, and are advised to confirm all details before committing to a purchase.

Chicago IL Auto Body Parts Customer Reviews

I am now leaving a review for this partner company to painted auto body parts. Horrendous customer service. I was assured they would match the bumper to my VIN and they simply didn’t do that. I have a 2022 Kia stinger GT2 and I was given what appears to be a front bumper cover for a GT- Line, a completely different body line to mine. The bumper doesn’t fit. I gave up weeks ago and just fixed my old one because I have parts waiting to be installed. I have called everyday. I have made claims online. I was told one time that I would be contacted by a manager, I wasn’t. I will keep calling and review-bombing. You need to correspond with your customers.

*BUYER BEWARE* Order bumper for a vehicle. Received bumper on 4pm on a Fri. Dropped it off at the body shop at 5pm. Body shop said first thing Monday morning bumper was too rough to paint. I sent email to Chicago auto body parts initiating a return stating that. They asked for a picture I provided. Then they asked for the body shop’s phone number I provided which they never called. In the meantime, I ordered a replacement bumper from another company, which I received. Also, in the meantime, I pointed out more damage on their bumper and also sent them a picture. And they advised to let the bumper sit up for one to two days. And of course, I don’t have one to two days because I’ve already ordered another bumper. I requested a return/return request via email 10 times. And they would not provide. They advised it would be at my expense. I stated that is not what their policy says via their website. And as you would imagine, I received no response after that email. And of course I placed a phone call to the returns department, but the voicemail was full. This has been ongoing for three weeks at this point and my last email I felt that they should pay for the return shipping per policy on the website because I felt like it was only fair because I paid for shipping originally to have my part shipped. I have emailed Maria per the previous Google reviews and she said she was going to check into it. Still waiting on that response.

I would put a 5 star but the package was a damaged a bit. I got a front bumper painted for my car and the paint came out great and matched! The bumper was not harmed in shipping it was wrapped up good but box was beat up though. Other than that it came out great. Thank you!

Never ever use this company. I ordered a front fender for my Buick encore from these guys. They sent my part in bubble wrap and some cardboard so when it arrived it was severely damaged. After spending days calling the company on repeat (Over 20 times) I finally got an answer and was told I should have made USPS wait while I inspected the part and made them take it back if I wasn't satisfied and since I had signed for it, it was my fault. I never signed for the package and told them that. They offered to give me a discount if I made the part work but told them I couldn't as it was too damaged. Then I was told to fill out a form, after filling out the form and sending it in I was told that a manager would soon be in touch with me. After a week and a half of no response I called on repeat again (no answer until I had called 30 ish times) After finally getting a response I was told they would send me a new part. After receiving the new part (also not signed for just dropped off) It was in almost the same condition it had less bends in it but this time had dust in the paint. At this point I'm not sure what to do. They are simply an awful company. I attached photos of both fenders I received. They are somehow in worse condition than the pictures can show. I have now contacted the email left in the response to my review and received no answer. This company is incredibly hard to work with and I would never recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE RESPONSES THEY GIVE. YOU WILL NEVER HEAR BACK FROM THAT EMAIL. I ordered a replacement bumper for my car and from the start there were issues because the part took two weeks longer than expected. But I was okay with it thinking they were getting it painted properly. But no the item to me is the complete wrong shade of blue. I ordered B637P boost blue pearl metallic from honda but I got a lighter paint resembling ford or toyotas similar shade of blue. Not only that but the paint looks like it’s starting to bubble in some areas.I’ve tried to get in contact with them for two weeks since I received the part but no one seems to be willing to help. I was given an email to send the issues I waited a few days with no response. I called back on Monday this week and was told to expect a response the same day from the claims department but no one responded. I waited until today wednesday to call them back and i’ve been on hold for half an hour now. Overall horrible customer service and the paint work appears to not be much better.
