Unfair charges, ridiculous prices and potentially fradulent diagnoses. I brought my 2017 Chevrolet to this dealership after an independent mechanic said the dealership may be better suited to repair the issue I was facing. The car’s engine had stopped running and the ECU indicated issues with intake and fuel injection systems. This Chevrolet dealership gave me an estimate for $5000 worth of repairs, $4500 of that being to replace the muffler and front axle washers. These prices were outrageous for the work being proposed, specifically $2500 to replace a muffler is obscene. Additionally, considering the work being proposed was on different systems than those indicated by the ECU, I think it is possible this was a fake/fraudulent diagnosis provided by the dealership. Considering that the diagnosis seemed inaccurate and potentially false/fraudulent and the quoted prices were obscene, I asked to pick up my car and take it to another shop. They refused to release my car without a $335 payment for this diagnosis. Providing a diagnosis of a problem is a ‘cost of doing business’ and shouldn’t be passed on to me, especially considering the issues I described above. Chevrolet of Culver City, I want my money back.

5 stars for Juan Luna! He did the best job servicing a broken car sensor and replaced them with two new ones. It’s easy to feel ripped off at dealerships but here, you won’t have that with Juan Luna!

Do not go here unless you like spending money. My car was having issues with a battery and I called in to see if my battery was still under warranty - this began a series of unfortunate mistakes on my part, the biggest one being trusting "experts." I did not realize they would straight up lie to you and bend the truth on the phone just to get you into the building. Once you are there they insist on doing a diagnostic, even if you tell them the error code your car is giving you. They will make you sign a contract to pay for this diagnosis. I understand the need for a diagnostic, but my price grew from $350 to $600 so that they could take out what they THOUGHT was draining my battery. Beyond that, they held my car for days, and the person I was in communication with was very slow to respond except for when they were trying to get me to spend more money, then suddenly I got quick responses. I later learned that the entire diagnostic they did on my vehicle consisted of a quick battery test (which you can get for free elsewhere) and pulling off the front of my car dash, spotting a vehicle tracking device, then just incorrectly deciding that was the problem. Upon retrospect, the fact that they somehow missed the actual issue, and did not listen when I came in, are all major red flags. Another red flag is that I came in person (since I was not getting responses to my messages) I was met with disdain, eye rolls and anger that I asked to take my car back instead of spending hundreds more on it. I also don't like doing more work an hour before closing, but I wouldn't let the customer know that. What was happening with my car was as simple as what I told them when I came in. Instead of listening they gave me headache after headache and a wild goose chase while insisting that I needed to pay for their trial and errors to figure out what was wrong with my car. To be fair, I guess shady dealerships only want to take your money so they don't have a vested interest in honoring warranties - seems as though they will literally invent issues rather than figuring out the real problem.

Wasn't impressed, but they did what they were supposed to. Took my EV in for a routine service and was told by the service advisor Juan that they'd do the tire rotation, multi-point inspection, and oil change. Except there's no oil to change. When I questioned this, he seemed taken aback and apparently needed to check with some other people about that. Either he didn't know something very basic about EVs or he was trying to overcharge me. They did rotate the tires, but it was rather slow (several hours) for having had an appointment. Also my tires were at an acceptable air pressure when I brought it in, but could have used more air to get to the recommended pressure, which wasn't done during the service. Overall, wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.

samantha at the front desk that answers the phone when you call clearly needs help and doesn’t know what she is doing . she answers the phone and hang up , you call and ask for service and she sends you to parts . she is asking what kind of car do you have just to transfer you to the wrong person and for you to repeat what kind of car you have again. why is Samantha asking people what kind of car they have if she’s not service. I am clearly asking for service to get my car fixed and Samantha wants to tell me how much the part is and how much the labor is separately when all I asked for was how much to get my car service that means the whole thing . parts and service together Samantha made it very complicated just for me to get a quote on how much it would get my car fixed and I still never got an answer. she told me how much service would be and then she goes to say all of the mechanics are out to lunch so she can’t tell me nothing else. parts is saying the Cadillac converter is 2,000. I just called to see how much it would be to get my car service for a Cadillac converter labor, and parts in one as usual like when people call for service to get their car fixed. I think it makes no sense for Samantha to transfer every once apart when they want to get their car service because the majority of people in the world are not mechanics so why are you sending people to parts when they want to get their car service? remove Samantha she is horrible. She is rude and she might be a little slow because she cannot execute her job or just finish out simple commands.
