Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell Introduce

Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell, located at 42 Oak St SUITE E, Roswell, GA 30076, USA, operates as an auto repair station with a specialization in transmission services. They can be reached at (404) 948-5543 or +1 404-948-5543. While their name highlights their expertise in transmissions, customer reviews also provide insights into their broader car care services and overall customer experience.

Information regarding the specific environment of Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell is limited. However, the mention of "professional technicians" in one review suggests a service-oriented workspace where skilled individuals handle vehicle repairs. The fact that the same customer had their transmission rebuilt indicates a facility equipped for significant mechanical work. Another customer's multiple visits, including to a Marietta location, implies that Certified Transmission Repair may have more than one service center, suggesting a potentially established operation.

Based on the available customer reviews, the services offered by Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell include:

  • Transmission Rebuild: One customer had the transmission of their 2002 Ford Explorer rebuilt, indicating this is a core service offered. The quoted price and timeframe provide some insight into the scale and duration of such a service.
  • Transmission Repair: The detailed account of a customer experiencing recurring issues after an initial repair suggests that they undertake various levels of transmission repair work, including troubleshooting and addressing specific codes like P0775 (Pressure Control Solenoid B).
  • Wire Harness Troubleshooting and Replacement: During the follow-up service for the recurring transmission issue, the shop reportedly troubleshooted and replaced a wire harness, indicating their capability in addressing electrical components related to the transmission.
  • General Car Care (Implied): While the name emphasizes transmission repair, positive feedback regarding practical options for an older car suggests they offer general advice and potentially other car care services beyond just transmissions.

The features of Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell, as perceived through customer experiences, present a mixed but ultimately positive outlook:

  • Professional Technicians: One customer specifically noted the professionalism of the technicians.
  • Knowledgeable and Practical Advice: The shop is described as "very friendly and knowledgeable in discussing practical options" for older vehicles.
  • Commitment to Resolving Issues: Despite initial setbacks for one customer, the shop, particularly John and Mario (potentially owners or managers), demonstrated a willingness to "bend over backwards" to address and resolve post-installation issues. This suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction even when challenges arise.

However, the detailed account of one customer experiencing recurring transmission problems also highlights potential areas for improvement:

  • Diagnostic Accuracy: The initial diagnosis for the Ford F150, while seemingly leading to a rebuild, resulted in a persistent underlying issue (P0775 code). This suggests that complex or intermittent problems might require more extensive or precise diagnostic procedures.
  • Repair Effectiveness: Despite multiple attempts at repair, including a re-do of the transmission and a wire harness replacement, one customer's vehicle continued to exhibit the same symptoms, ultimately leading to the suggestion of a new transmission at another shop.
  • Rental Car Reimbursement: The shop does not appear to offer reimbursement for rental cars, which can become a significant expense for customers undergoing lengthy diagnostic and repair processes.
  • Communication Regarding Complex Issues: While one customer praised Gary at a different shop (potentially affiliated but at a different location) for communication, the detailed account of the Roswell location shows some ambiguity regarding the timeline and process for more complex solutions like computer replacement.

Certified Transmission Repair of Roswell Customer Reviews

5 stars: Had transmission rebuilt on a 2002 Ford Explorer with 262k miles. Was rebuilt for $2600 (incl taxes) and took 7 calendar days. The technicians are professional. First visit was a Roswell location. Visit 2 and 3 were at Marietta location. Now 3 stars: I’ve just driven it maybe 10 miles and it’s driving well. However, the OD light began flashing again after the RPMs on the engine went up 4. This was about 2.5 miles from my home. Later on the same drive after two stops the OD light flashed yet again, but this time after accelerating after a stop. And again while traveling 35mph. Flashing OD indicates malfunction in the transmission. Will be calling the shop Monday about this. Code reappeared for P0775 Pressure Control Solenoid B. This was the original code that was present when the transmission failed. Update: The following day after picking up the car, I spoke to John and he told me to bring the car in for further repairs. Due to holidays, I had to do this in January. January: They had the car for 1 week. Shop redid transmission and troubleshooted a wire harness. I had to pick it up because I could not continue to pay for a rental (they do not reimburse for rentals although they spend weeks diagnosing and repairing). John told me that next steps are for the "computer to be replaced" and that job is done at another shop. Shop stated they would need more time to send it off and replace a computer (?). I was told to bring it in when it was convenient to make further repairs and diagnostics. Now 2 stars - March: They had the car for 2 weeks. Redid transmission and replaced a wire harness. I have no idea what they did to the car during those twos. At the end John told me they were just going to install a brand new transmission. Unfortunately, I could not leave the car for a third week in a row because I needed it for work and general life, and since they offer no compensation for rentals I had to take the car back. No change whatsoever. O/D light is still flashing and gears are sluggish to change. When I’m ready to leave it for another week so they can install any transmission I have to reach out. 4 weeks in the shop- no fix.

Had rebuilt transmission installed in my teen’s 2003 accord. Very friendly and knowledgeable in discussing practical options for my older car. Had some non critical but annoying hiccups related to the install. Called and spoke to the owners to discuss. John and Mario bent over backwards to take care the issue and I was totally impressed. I will 100% use them in the future and recommend them to everyone.

Thank you to Mario and John Jr. I got my car to them on Wednesday after I found out my transmission went out. They got my car fixed by Friday. I didn’t know they did free towing until after they fixed my car. They towed my car to me after the repair for free since I couldn’t get off work to pick my car up. The service was amazing. The price was exactly what I was quoted from beginning to end. I would recommend them to anyone needing transmission help.

Mario was very helpful. They rebuilt my transmission for 800 dollars cheaper than anyone else would, and only had a 3 day turnaround. They even had my car towed to them for free. I highly recommend this company.

Mario at Certified arranged for flatbed pickup of my truck, and had a complete estimate of repair costs by the next day. They double checked the rear main seal on the engine - no leaks. I highly recommend Certified transmission and their attentive team of mechanics. Im tolling again!
