I had one of the best experiences in a mechanic shop. Jeremy, Jerry, John, and Luis provided me with great customer service and made sure I got there safe. They are more than fair with their price and I feel lucky to have had a flat tire near by them. At first, I was afraid to go there due to some bad reviews. Now I understand that we gotta experience for ourselves, and not just make assumptions based on others faulty perceptions. I asked them many questions and besides their honesty, they are very knowledgeable.

This review is about the various experiences I've had with Castillo's, within the realm of their service as well as a part of my community. Service: They were extremely well-priced, helpful, and courteous. They demonstrated value for my time and gave me respectful and professional customer service. They explained everything about the work they did and what to expect over the next few days as well as what to expect to need after the next 30,000 miles. Community: As a member of the community surrounding Castillo's, I walk my dogs past their shop almost daily. I will talk to everyone, so I definitely talk to them. I have never had a negative interaction with them. They are kind to both me and my dogs even when they are busy (which I believe says something about them). They always at the least say hello, and if they have time, they will greet my dogs who now pull me to walk to their shop. I think behaving in a way that shows you are community-minded is an important part of being a business in a neighborhood. I've witnessed every single member of Castillo's staff demonstrating kind and welcoming behavior to the people in our neighborhood. I initially brought my vehicle to them because of their kindness, but I'll return for additional service because of the affordable, efficient work they do.

Bought a set of used tires. They he guys mounted and balanced them, and even took the pitting off the wheels. Worked with me on the price. Great service. Will recommend to Anyone looking to get good service for a good price.

I came in on a Friday morning to get brakes and tires done. While an employee was busy with another customer, I was asked to write down my information on a post-it note and leave my car key. They assured me that they'd call back with a price and more details, but I didn’t hear anything for the rest of the day. I returned on Saturday morning, only to discover that none of the employees knew anything about my car or the services I had requested the day before. After explaining everything again, they reassured me that they had my info and would get it done that day. By the end of Saturday, I still hadn’t heard from them. Since they were closed on Sunday, I had to wait until Monday to go back. When I arrived monday morning, I spoke with the owner, who told me they had lost both my car key and the post-it with my information. Frustrated, I ended up searching through their shop myself and found both the post-it and my car key in one of their tool chests. The owner was polite and did finally get the work done that day, which I appreciated. However, he was hesitant to offer any real discount for the clear mishandling of the situation - and my key. My car sat outside their shop for three days without any communication. I had to come back twice to explain the services I needed all over again, and I even had to personally dig through their shop to recover my own key for them. In the end, I paid slightly less than the full price, but not by much. The owner said he could only offer apologies for the inconvenience and hardly cut me a deal—they still made money despite the fact that it was their mistake from the start. While the work eventually got done, the overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional.
