Carland Service Center Introduce

Carland Service Center is an automotive repair facility located at 11300 State Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022, USA. Operating within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, this establishment provides various services and goods for sale related to vehicle maintenance and repair for local users in the Alpharetta area. Customers can reach Carland Service Center via phone at (678) 624-0050 or mobile at +1 678-624-0050.

As an Auto Repair Station, Carland Service Center is expected to offer a range of services aimed at keeping vehicles in proper working order. This typically includes routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for various automotive systems. The core business model of such a facility is to provide solutions for common and complex vehicle issues, ensuring cars are safe and reliable for their owners. Their services would generally cater to a wide array of vehicle makes and models, rather than specializing in a single brand, unless otherwise specified.

Regarding the environment of Carland Service Center, the provided customer reviews do not offer specific details about the physical appearance of the facility, such as its cleanliness, organization, or customer waiting area amenities. However, as an auto repair station, it would typically feature a service bay or garage where vehicles are worked on, equipped with the necessary tools and machinery for repairs. There would likely be a customer reception area for drop-offs, pick-ups, and discussions about service needs. The address, 11300 State Bridge Rd, suggests a location within a commercial or mixed-use area of Alpharetta, which might imply accessibility and proximity to other businesses for customers.

The services offered by Carland Service Center, based on the customer feedback, include at least two common automotive maintenance tasks: oil changes and tire changes. One review explicitly mentions bringing a car in for an oil change, indicating this is a routine service they provide. Another review notes a visit for a tire change, confirming this as well. Beyond these basic services, an auto repair station typically offers a broader range of maintenance and repair options. These might include:

  • Brake Services: Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, and other components.
  • Engine Diagnostics: Using specialized equipment to identify issues indicated by the "check engine" light or other performance problems.
  • Fluid Checks and Flushes: Beyond oil, this would include transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, and brake fluid.
  • Filter Replacements: Air filters, cabin filters, fuel filters.
  • Suspension and Steering Repairs: Addressing issues with shocks, struts, and alignment.
  • Battery Testing and Replacement: Ensuring the vehicle's electrical system is in good working order.
  • General Inspections: Pre-purchase inspections or multi-point inspections to identify potential problems.

While these are typical offerings for an auto repair station, the provided information only directly confirms oil and tire changes.

The features of Carland Service Center, as revealed through customer experiences, present a mixed, and predominantly negative, picture. One significant feature highlighted is the practice of "upselling" additional recommended fixes. The customer noted being "handed a list of ‘recommended’ fixes to upsell" after an oil change. While upselling is a common practice in the automotive service industry, the customer's phrasing suggests it was perceived negatively, potentially as an aggressive or unnecessary attempt to increase the service bill.

A crucial and concerning feature is the quality of workmanship and attention to detail. One customer reported a "coolant cap left open" after an oil change, describing it as "careless service." This demonstrates a significant lapse in basic procedural checks, which can lead to severe engine damage if not rectified by the customer. Such an oversight on a fundamental task like an oil change raises questions about the overall competence and thoroughness of the technicians. The negative review explicitly states, "If they can’t handle the basics, why should anyone trust them with more," which encapsulates a severe erosion of trust due to a critical error.

Another significant negative feature relates to damage to property and accountability. A customer reported that "they damaged all four of my wheels and wouldn’t own up to it" during a tire change. This indicates a serious issue with negligence during service and a complete lack of responsibility for damages incurred. The customer's strong emotional response ("still pissed about it") years later underscores the severity of this experience. The statement "Clearly not qualified for the job" further reinforces the perception of incompetent service. The combination of careless service, property damage, and a refusal to take accountability are highly detrimental features for any auto repair station.

Given the strongly negative customer reviews, any promotional information for Carland Service Center would face significant challenges. Typically, auto repair stations promote their reliability, expertise, customer service, and competitive pricing. However, the existing online sentiment for Carland Service Center directly contradicts these desirable traits. Without any positive testimonials, the primary "promotional" takeaway from the available data is a warning from past customers. In a competitive market like Alpharetta, positive word-of-mouth and a reputation for quality are crucial. The current feedback suggests a need for substantial internal improvements before effective positive promotional campaigns could be launched.

If Carland Service Center were to address these concerns, potential promotional angles would need to focus on demonstrating a renewed commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and accountability. This might involve:

  • Guaranteeing Workmanship: Offering warranties on parts and labor, and promising to rectify any issues promptly and without additional cost.
  • Training and Certification: Highlighting the training and certifications of their technicians to build confidence in their capabilities.
  • Transparent Communication: Implementing clear communication protocols regarding recommended services and ensuring no hidden fees or unapproved work.
  • Customer Satisfaction Programs: Actively seeking feedback and implementing processes to address concerns and complaints effectively.

However, based purely on the provided information, any promotional message would be undermined by the severe negative experiences reported by customers. The reviews indicate a fundamental breakdown in service quality, basic operational care, and customer relations.

In conclusion, Carland Service Center, located at 11300 State Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA, operates as an Auto Repair Station, providing services such as oil changes and tire changes. The environment is typical of a service center, without specific luxurious amenities. However, the prominent features of this establishment, as evidenced by customer reviews, are unfortunately negative: a perceived tendency towards upselling, significant carelessness in basic service (e.g., leaving a coolant cap open), and a severe lack of accountability for property damage during service. These issues have led to strong customer dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. Therefore, based on the objective information available, Carland Service Center presents as an establishment with significant service quality and customer relations challenges, which would likely deter local users from seeking their services without a substantial and publicly demonstrated improvement in their operational standards and customer care.

Carland Service Center Customer Reviews

Brought my car in for an oil change at 11300 State Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022, and as usual, they handed me a list of ‘recommended’ fixes to upsell. I agreed to one, but they said I had to leave the car overnight. Took it home instead—and the next day, I popped the hood to find the coolant cap left open. This kind of careless service is exactly why Honda’s reputation is going downhill. If they can’t handle the basics, why should anyone trust them with more.

Went to for a tire change and they damaged all four of my wheels and wouldn’t own up to it. Worst shop experience I’ve ever had. Clearly not qualified for the job. Been a few years but I’m still pissed about it

Be aware this shop. No confidence on the work they performed. I did replace a car battery there and it died within a year. They recommended to change brake pads and I did and now they said there is only 3mm left after about 1 year. Don't assume they performed the work as expected.

Went in to replace a recall and get maintenance done, Cindy was nice however the other I spoke with were quite rude to speak too. The pricing at this place is absolutely through the roof almost 200 dollars for brake fluid is an absolute scam, over 140 dollars in a service fee for 2 minutes of work pouring in new break fluid is ridiculous. Also told me that my fuel filler needs to be replaced and they would have to replace the fuel tank too because they can’t get the parts separately, which is a complete lie. Attempting to send a bill for 5k to replace a 300 dollar part, definitely do not recommend, prices are absurd and they will attempt to make you pay extra!

Don’t get your parts from them, they’ll vastly overcharge you. Get the part online instead and get your local mechanic to take care of it; had a drivers side mirror needing replacement and we would’ve saved 500+ if we hadn’t gone through Carland.
