I visited this business based on positive reviews and was initially quoted a reasonable price for the service over the phone. At the onset, the staff were courteous and professional, which gave me confidence in their service. However, upon completion, I was billed at five times the quoted amount due to an error on their end. To their credit, they reduced the price after realizing the mistake. Unfortunately, the sensor repair didn’t hold up as expected, and the issue remained. They advised me to return, and I did, receiving a replacement sensor. But once installed, the same problem returned. After multiple visits and discussions with the technician, it became apparent that their equipment used to program the sensor might be faulty. After exhausting efforts to troubleshoot with this equipment, my vehicle was still left with the same sensor problem I originally came in with. To make matters worse, I was told my original sensor had been tossed out, leaving me with no working sensor at all after the exchange. When I requested a refund, I was asked to return on a day when the appropriate person could handle it. After calling to confirm, I was informed that they considered my rate discounted due to their troubleshooting efforts and would only provide a refund if a dealership confirmed the sensor worked correctly once installed elsewhere. When I spoke with the owner, she completely avoided taking any responsibility and frequently cut me off, overriding my concerns without truly listening. She insisted that no refund was justified since I received a "discounted" service, despite their equipment failing to resolve the issue. The lack of accountability, disregard for customer concerns, and poor communication made for a horrible experience. I would caution potential customers to verify the service capabilities here before proceeding, and don’t expect any sympathy from the owner as she is more concerned about the hours she had to pay her employees than the service given to customers.

Warning!!! I took my car down here because I’ve taken it so many times before for small things. Tires which they have great prices on, the put them on no issues. I’ve got tire plugs several times. This time I had a bigger issue. I had a knocking racket in the front of my car I told them about and ended coming out needing wheel bearings, which I had no symptoms of but I was trusting the mechanics. Had both wheel bearings changed and my brake rotors and pads which I did need. Still the same noise was there. I took it back down there they put it on the lift and tell me I need control arms with the ball joints for both sides. I buy the parts bc it was cheaper to do so they put them on I drive down the road and still the same noise I originally took my car in for is still there! Over 1400$ later!!! Now I am told I need the shock and strut which was never mentioned before. Just seems like they kept guessing on each new part they put on my car. Now I’m wondering if any of these parts I’ve had changed out were ever bad, besides my brakes I knew were bad. I have spent countless days down there at this place waiting on parts to come in that were never ordered before my appt date, having to leave my car to get it fixed and having to find a way to work. It’s unbelievable to me that I spent this much money which I’ve worked very hard for a really couldn’t afford to still not have my car fixed. Now I have to take it somewhere else have it diagnosed again to see what is actually wrong with it. Do not have anything complicated done here. They can get you some cheap tires do inspections sure but not really fix your car. They give you the run around till you have spent all your money! UPDATE: took my car to a different mechanic who looked at my car and knew by the sound what to look for. It was actually just the bolt for sway bar link that needed to be tightened. Nothing was ever said at this place about the sway bar link, I assume bc it’s just a 35$ part and they couldn’t make any money off of it. Spent 100$ to actually fix my car 1500$ later. I deserve at least 1000$ of that back bc parts were switched that were not bad!

Solid place, reliable and honest. Been taking my vehicles to them for a few years now and they always try to save you money when possible. Would absolutely recommend.

Great experience. Had a flat tire and they made me feel at home even tho I was from out of town and felt like a fish out of water. They ordered a tire and had me on the road right away. The owner is easy on the eyes too.

I really can’t say enough nice things about Candler Tire & Automotive. My family and I use them for our automotive needs we can’t do ourselves. They are punctual, kind, and honest mechanics that are reasonable and realistic with repair costs. The owner, Wayne, is a very kind man and is active in the shop which is nice to see a owner work along side his crew. Thank you so much for keeping us safe on the road.

I was here about 2 years ago to have my thermostat replace and now I am at another shop to get it replace again and come to find out that the girl mechanic that was post to changed it out never did and that it was never changed to begin with because it's still the original one that was in the truck when it was new in 2001 but yet they still changed me to replace it. I will never go back to them again. And if you go here make sure to watch them so you don't get cheated like I was.

4-16-2025. I had a screw in the Jeep tire. I called around and went online but then remembered Candler tire and auto. They have new people there. Called up and they could fit me in, took the wheel with me and had to wait about 15 min. They did a great job, helped me load up too. The price was very reasonable compared to others. I will be back for sure.
