Did good work the first time: I paid nearly $700 for a new rear strut assembly and one sensor; my car was running much better! Several months later I asked them to take a look at my brakes, they advised me it would be over $426 for a brake job (+ lugnut/wheel stud they broke because [they claim] we cross-threaded it on our last install). I paid them $63 to put it back together and replace the lugnut. My boys purchased our own $110 in parts and attempted to do the job on Easter... but ALL the lugnuts were Cross-Threaded! Three strong men couldn't get them to budge after two hours and several trips to AutoZone. The one that C&C replaced didn't even match the rest and we had to get an attachment... now we're down a commute vehicle (towing it to our friends' workshop next weekend to use an impact to get to the brakes). Whether this was pettiness or utter incompetence, they've lost a once-loyal customer.

Tried charging me 500 dollars to change my rotors and pads. When I told them I'd do it myself they charged me for a crossthreaded lug nut they had to replace. The irony is that the last time the tire was removed was by them when I had previously brought it in. Then when I proceeded to change the pads and rotors myself I couldn't get a lug nut off because ironicallly... it was corssthreaded. I snapped a lug bolt trying to get my tire off. Shady mechanic, be forewarned - edit - I saw your response. None of what you said explains why you messed up my lugs. If you actually checked the front rotors and pads you would have taken the tires off. So either you destroyed my lugs or you're lying about checking my rotors. Which one is it? Also, whywould I lie about any of this? Oh and the lug nut you charged me 70 dollars to replace 馃檮 wasn't even the same size as the rest of the nuts on the tire. So if my wife had a flat tire she would have had no way to remove that nut with the tire iron she has. I went to your shop for assistance and you destroyed my lugs because I refused your service. Then you charged me 70 dollars for it. Great way to run a business and sooner or later you WILL be exposed. It's a good thing I have the resources to fix the issue myself. Alot of people dont.don't. Actually I guess I should be thanking you for one thing. That cheap nut you charged me 70 dollars for was perfect for threading down and pulling my new bolts into place, so I didn't have to destroy the threads on my new nuts... thanks for that....

$151 dollars for an oil change seemed insane when I heard about it. When I saw the receipt with a labor charge of $47.50 to remove and replace the cabin air filter I knew something shady was going on. Replacing the cabin air filter on a 2017 Toyota Corolla takes mere minutes. I know because I tried. Feel free to look up videos on YouTube. They're all about 2 minutes long. There is no excuse for that to be a $47.50 service. Even the other filter, the engine air filter the receipt shows, is a simple replacement. I called and spoke with a woman claiming to be the owner. When I asked her to justify a $47.50 price on it, she simply said "I just go by what the book tells me" as if that excuses that kind of inflation. I always heard about shops charging predatory prices, but never thought I'd see it in person. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are the reason people are wary of small shops. Edit for response: this lady will really tell you with a straight face that a standard oil change costs $151. Lol. Further edit: I got an oil change at Quality Care Auto Lube in about 30 minutes for $40. No cabin air filter change, but hey it's $100 less and they won't try to gaslight you into thinking that $151 is reasonable for an oil change.
