Big Rig Brake Shop Introduce

Big Rig Brake Shop, located at 360 Conley Dr, Enon, OH 45323, USA, positions itself as a vital resource within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, specifically focusing on heavy-duty vehicles. This establishment is geared towards serving the critical needs of truckers and commercial vehicle operators, providing a range of services designed to get large rigs back on the road efficiently and safely. They can be reached via phone at (937) 520-6288 or mobile at +1 937-520-6288.

While specific details about the interior environment of Big Rig Brake Shop are not explicitly provided, a facility specializing in heavy-duty truck repair typically features large service bays capable of accommodating semi-trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles. The environment is generally industrial, equipped with specialized tools and machinery necessary for large-scale automotive work, such as heavy-duty lifts, diagnostic equipment for diesel engines, and welding apparatus. The shop likely maintains a practical, functional layout to facilitate the movement of large vehicles and the efficient execution of repairs. There would typically be a reception area for customers, perhaps with a waiting space, though many of their services extend to roadside assistance, meaning clients might not always visit the physical location. Cleanliness and organization, while often challenging in a heavy-duty repair setting, are usually prioritized to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Big Rig Brake Shop offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored for commercial vehicles, directly aligning with its classification as an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in heavy-duty transport. Their core competencies extend far beyond just brake services, despite the name. Key services include:

  • **Brake Services:** As their name suggests, brake repairs, adjustments, and inspections are a primary focus. This is crucial for heavy rigs given the critical role brakes play in safety.
  • **24-Hour Roadside Service:** This is a significant feature, providing emergency assistance for breakdowns directly on the roadside, at truck stops (including Pilot, Travel America, Love's, and Flying J), or at rest areas. This mobile service covers a wide radius around Dayton, Springfield, Western Columbus, and Northern Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • **Towing and Recovery:** They offer heavy-duty towing services, essential for situations where a vehicle cannot be repaired on-site or needs to be transported to their facility or another location.
  • **Mobile Mechanic Service:** Beyond towing, their mobile units are equipped to handle various roadside repairs, including tire issues, air/liquid leaks, electrical problems, jump starts, and fuel delivery.
  • **Tire Services:** They carry a selection of prominent tire brands and can handle tire replacements and repairs.
  • **Welding Services:** A notable offering is their full mobile welding service, capable of handling plasma, mild steel, stainless, and aluminum, which is invaluable for on-the-spot frame or component repairs for commercial vehicles.
  • **General Truck and Trailer Repair:** This encompasses a broad range of services, including engine diagnostics and repair, transmission work, clutch repair, suspension issues, and light service needs.
  • **Annual Inspections:** They conduct thorough and meticulous annual inspections for trucks, helping operators meet safety regulations and maintain vehicle performance.

The features that distinguish Big Rig Brake Shop, based on available information and customer feedback, include their **high level of responsiveness and emergency service availability**. The 24/7 roadside assistance is a critical lifeline for truckers, as breakdowns can significantly impact their schedules and livelihoods. One customer review specifically highlights their "great discipline to arrive in time and make everything properly" during an emergency towing situation, along with their "high responsibility, kindness and fast service." This underscores their commitment to minimizing downtime for their clients. Another key feature is their **mobile capability**, bringing a full range of repair and welding services directly to the stranded vehicle, which can save valuable time and resources compared to traditional shop-only repairs. They also emphasize their **certified inspection professionals** for annual vehicle safety checks, aiming to provide trustworthy and comprehensive evaluations. Their stated goal of "customer convenience" and ensuring "100 percent safe" vehicles further highlights their service-oriented approach.

However, it is important to present a balanced view, as customer experiences can vary. While some customers praise their professionalism and timely response, other feedback points to concerns regarding transparency and pricing. One detailed negative review describes an instance where the customer felt "totally screwed over," alleging that a simple air tank reattachment job was prolonged and significantly overcharged ($1400 for what was perceived as a 1-2 hour job). This review also mentions that the issue was not fully resolved, with the air tank still leaking. This feedback suggests that while the shop may excel in emergency response and technical capability for some, there might be inconsistencies in service delivery, particularly concerning communication about repair scope, estimated time, and pricing. This highlights the importance of customers clearly communicating their needs and, if possible, getting detailed estimates for services, especially when facing emergency situations that might lead to vulnerability.

Regarding promotional information, Big Rig Brake Shop actively promotes its 24-hour roadside assistance and mobile service capabilities. Their website indicates a competitive hourly rate of **$89.00 per hour** for roadside service, notably without call-out fees. They also list storage rates for trucks and trailers at their shop, which are **$75 per day for truck and trailer, $50 per day for either a truck or a trailer, and $35 per day for cars**. Annual inspections are advertised at **$99.00**. They emphasize providing "highly inexpensive services" and aim to avoid "exorbitant or unreasonable service fees." For updated promotional offers or specific deals, it is always recommended for interested parties to contact Big Rig Brake Shop directly or visit their official website, as promotions can change over time. Their focus on affordability, particularly for truckers, is a key part of their marketing strategy, aiming to attract those looking for cost-effective and reliable heavy-duty repair solutions in the region.

Yea these guys totally screwed me over. All I had was an air tank that fell off bracket and just needed to be put back on. They totally took advantage of the fact that I really didn’t know what was going on and made it seem like it was gonna take 5 or 6 hrs to fix when in reality it was just 1 maybe 2 hr job. He took my air tank off and didn’t return until 6 hrs later only to have the same air tank and a new screw put in and maybe a couple hoses (because it was already hoses on it) and some regular bracket pieces that they had at the shop already. And the air tank still was leaking smh. So all in all I got charged $1400 for like I say what should have been a 1 maybe 2 hr job ($600). Well what I want them to know is that it’s not good to take advantage of what someone doesn’t know for your own benefit. It’s about being genuine, honest and fair. Treat people how you would want them to treat you. You wouldn’t want anyone to take advantage of you so therefore why would you do someone like that. And I hope that this message reaches you all in the most humblest way so no one else has to go through that.

Cannot say enough good things about this business, I was broken down and the owner was there with a rollback within 30 minutes. Very professional and more then fair on price. He called me every step of the way and let me know what was going on. Extremely knowledgeable and saved us a ton on repairs. I definitely would recommend this business!

The owner is a awesome guy. If I can give him 10 stars I would. He came straight out to me on the side of the road to find the problem. He worked way passed his business hours to make sure I wasn't left stranded. He even bought my lunch. He called they next day to make sure everything was still good on my truck. Price was good to. We need more mechanics like this in the trucking world. I would recommend him to anybody.
