Bergey's Chevrolet Parts Introduce

Bergey's Chevrolet, located at 518 PA-309, Colmar, PA 18915, USA, operates as a comprehensive automotive center under the broad "Auto Repair Stations" category, although its services extend significantly beyond just parts. It functions as a full-service Chevrolet dealership, offering new and used vehicle sales, a dedicated parts department, and a service center for maintenance and repairs. You can contact them at (215) 822-4160 or via mobile at +1 215-822-4160. Bergey's has a long-standing history, with the broader Bergey's Auto Group having been in operation since 1924, suggesting a deep-rooted presence and experience in the automotive industry across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia.

The environment at Bergey's Chevrolet, as suggested by reviews, is multifaceted. For vehicle sales, customers describe an experience with "no pressure" and knowledgeable staff, implying a comfortable and professional showroom atmosphere. For service and parts, one would expect a well-organized facility equipped to handle various automotive needs. The presence of a dedicated parts network stocking over 450,000 parts suggests a substantial warehouse and efficient retrieval system to ensure quick service. As a dealership, the overall environment is likely designed to cater to a diverse clientele, from new car buyers to those needing parts or service for their existing vehicles.

The services offered by Bergey's Chevrolet are extensive. In terms of parts, they are a factory-authorized OEM parts distributor for GM, Ford, and Chrysler, stocking original equipment (OE) parts for mechanical repairs and collision body work. They also offer ACDelco and Magneti Marelli aftermarket parts. This comprehensive parts inventory allows them to quickly service a wide range of cars and trucks, catering to both retail customers and wholesale accounts. They offer UPS and FedEx delivery of parts across the United States, in addition to local delivery service for wholesale accounts in over 13 counties in PA, NJ, and DE, highlighting their extensive reach and logistical capabilities.

Beyond parts, Bergey's Chevrolet provides a full spectrum of automotive repair and maintenance services. This includes routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and wheel alignments. Their service department is equipped with "state-of-the-art tools and equipment" and staffed by "highly-trained service technicians" who are "Chevrolet Certified Service experts." This implies that they are well-prepared to handle everything from basic upkeep to more complex diagnostics and repairs, ensuring vehicles are maintained to manufacturer specifications.

Key features of Bergey's Chevrolet highlight both positive aspects and areas of concern based on customer feedback. On the sales side, individuals like Matt are consistently praised for their knowledge, no-pressure approach, and flexibility in setting appointments. Customers have repeatedly purchased multiple vehicles from Matt and recommended him to family, speaking to a high level of trust and satisfaction in the sales process. The dealership seems to foster long-term customer relationships through its sales team.

However, the service department presents a contrasting picture based on one detailed review. While some general reviews for Bergey's Chevrolet's service (not specifically "parts") mention "efficient, friendly and professional" staff and easy appointment scheduling, a significant negative experience points to severe issues. This customer reported a transmission failure at 50,000 miles on a Tahoe LTZ and a dispute with GM and the dealership over warranty coverage, leading to a rebuild rather than replacement. Critically, the customer describes "Joe Holly and the team in the service department" as "horrible to deal with," alleging shouting and bullying behavior. This review highlights a significant breakdown in communication and customer relations within the service department, leading to extreme dissatisfaction and a recommendation to "avoid this place at all cost." This stark contrast in experiences suggests inconsistency in service quality and customer interaction, particularly when dealing with complex or contentious issues.

Promotional information, while not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, can be inferred from the nature of a large dealership. Bergey's Chevrolet likely offers various sales incentives, service specials, and financing options for new and used vehicles. Their status as an authorized OEM parts distributor also serves as a strong selling point for customers seeking genuine, high-quality replacement parts. The general positive sentiment around sales staff like Matt indicates a strong emphasis on building rapport and providing a pleasant purchasing experience, which in itself is a powerful form of promotion. The long-standing reputation of the Bergey's Auto Group, in business for over a century, also acts as a testament to their overall stability and presence in the region.

For local users in Colmar, PA, Bergey's Chevrolet offers a comprehensive automotive solution for both vehicle sales and service needs. Customers seeking new or used Chevrolet vehicles may find a positive, no-pressure experience with knowledgeable sales professionals. For those requiring genuine Chevrolet parts or general automotive maintenance, the dealership has a vast inventory and capable service technicians. However, it is crucial for potential service customers to be aware of the reported negative experiences regarding communication and handling of complex repairs, and to consider these varied customer accounts when making their choice for automotive services.

Bergey's Chevrolet Parts Customer Reviews

My family has been going to Bergey’s, and more specifically Matt, since I purchased my first vehicle of my own in 2011–a Chevy HHR. Ever since then, my brother, my husband, and my parents (combined) have all purchased 2 vehicles each from Matt, as well as giving recommendations to extended family. He’s knowledgeable, puts no pressure on you, and is flexible in setting up appointments. I just purchased a 2015 Chevy Equinox from Matt, and could not be happier with the experience! I highly recommend seeing Matt if you’re in the market for a new vehicle.

Avoid this place at all cost. Bought new Tahoe LTZ 3 years ago and transmission went at 50,000 miles. Gm and the dealership won't replace under terms of the drivetrain warranty rather rebuild as its "not damaged" enough. No additional warranty for the rebuild transmission. Joe holly and the team in the service department are horrible to deal with as they shout at you and treat you like school yard bullies. Bottom line avoid this place and spend your hard earned money at another dealership.

Bought my Durango there a long time ago. Loved that truck until cottman transmission in Emmaus killed it. Bought a quality vehicle, drove it for years but Car was absolutely worthless after cottman was done working on it
