I went to purchase a battery for my car, I had input the license plate into the AutoZone app, saw it was a match and went to the Dolson Ave location since it was in stock there. I grabbed the battery and stood in line, the “Store Manager”, I believe his name was Jordan, I only remember the store manager title on his name tag, calls me to the counter and rudely asks “so what are we doing with this?!” I was baffled, I said “I’m just going to purchase this”, which he even more rudely followed up with “well for what kind of car?! You can’t just get any battery for your car!” Which I then explained the year make and model of the car which led to him pulling up the same exact battery I had brought to the counter. Upon charging me, he included the battery installation kit that he never asked me if I wanted. I have purchased many things from many other AutoZone before, including car batteries, and I have never been treated in such a way. I understand he wanted to make sure I was getting the right battery, but there is no reason to make a customer feel stupid. I may not look like a car person but I knew what I was buying. This location can keep the $5 core fee too for the battery I’m not coming back after that

It was a frustrating and stressful situation, especially since I urgently needed a part to fix my wife’s car so she could get to work on time. Instead of leaving me stranded, he **paid for the part out of his own pocket** to ensure I could get what I needed. Unfortunately Autozone has gone down hill. associates have minimal training. give out wrong parts cost customers time and money. but corporate doesn't care. Dolson ave store gave the wrong part ordered new part was told would be her on the 8am or 11am truck. 8am delivery couldn't be dropped because nobody was at the store to accept it. I was told store opened late. because opening employee was late. bad service. don't care if they cause customers problems. Just don't care.
