Mike and Scott always produce incredible work. I've been using American Muffler for years, both professionally and with my personal vehicles as well. They always get me in quickly and turn around time is always very fast. Pricing is more than fair, especially when there really aren't other shops who are able to match price and quality in SLO. If you need new mufflers or really any type of exhaust work, these are your guys. Well worth every penny to have it done right the first time. 10/10 recommend.

We recently bought our first travel trailer and quickly realized that we had a lot to learn. Our 2015 F150 has the factory tow package, but it wasn’t reading our trailer when we were hooked up. Also, the hitch mount set up that I borrowed from a friend needed to be returned and didn’t tow the trailer level anyway. Scott set me up w a nice (easier) weight distribution tow package and quickly figured out why the truck and trailer weren’t communicating. They also put the new tires on that I had brought w me. Their communication, service and value was truly 5 star!

If you go anywhere else for muffler work in San Luis Obispo County, then you're crazy. Scott and Mike are the go-to masters of their trade. The pricing is spot-on, their work is flawless, and you're in and out as quick as a wink.

I can hardly believe a company that's been dealing with the public for so long manages to maintain a customer service attitude that's second to none. These guys not only offer the highest level of competency you'll find, they're available to their customers and offer clear explanations of the work they're doing. I have a mid 2000's Honda CRV and wanted a trailer hitch installed so I came and chatted with Mike. I had done some poking around and found the parts for around $300 to $400 for the options I wanted. Mike was able to offer $950 out the door (parts included), which for an install that requires dropping the exhaust was a real solid deal. They were a super professional turn key solution to something that would take me hours even if I had a lift. Highly recommend them.
