Altamont Auto Specialist

I have driven used, older cars my entire life. Yes, that means no monthly car payment. It also means you will need unexpected car repairs. So finding a skilled, honest and reliable auto mechanic is essential. I am fortunate to have discovered Altamont Auto Specialist and I recommend this shop highly. I’ve been taking 3 different cars to this shop to a few years and I could not be more pleased. There has not been one problem with a repair and every job was priced fairly. The most impressive thing to me is the skill and knowledge of the owner/mechanic Zach. His understanding is broad and he works to give you excellent service without charging you a fortune. I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend this auto repair business. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I've taken my trusty old 2006 Hyundai Tucson here several times and each time I've been super happy with the overall service. Zach is very friendly, which is always a bonus considering some can be gruff and just want you in and out. They're VERY fair and reasonable with their services and, best of all, honest. Original review is from 4 years ago - Now I've had to drop it from 5 to 3 stars because I've tried calling several times, leaving a voicemail each time, over the last few weeks and have gotten no response/no call back. Now have to find a new place to take my car to get my issues resolved. Disappointing.
