Advanced European Automotive Introduce
For owners of European vehicles in Bakersfield, California, Advanced European Automotive offers a specialized option for their maintenance and repair needs. Located at 2819 Brundage Ln, Bakersfield, CA 93304, this business operates as an Auto Repair Station with a distinct focus on European makes and models. You can reach them by phone at (661) 322-4444 or mobile at +1 661-322-4444.
The environment at Advanced European Automotive is geared towards catering to the specific requirements of European cars, which often involve specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical expertise. While specific details about the waiting area or shop amenities are not provided, the very nature of specializing in European vehicles suggests a certain level of technical sophistication in their repair bays. The aim is to provide a clean, professional environment where complex automotive issues, typical of European engineering, can be efficiently and accurately addressed. The focus would be on precision and a deep understanding of these specific vehicle systems, allowing them to serve as an alternative to dealership service centers for brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche.
As an Auto Repair Station with a European specialty, Advanced European Automotive offers a range of services tailored to these sophisticated vehicles. While a comprehensive list of all services is not explicitly detailed, their offerings would typically include:
Specialized Diagnostics: Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and software specifically designed for European cars to accurately identify issues, including complex electronic and engine management problems.
Routine Maintenance: Performing factory-scheduled maintenance, oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter replacements according to manufacturer specifications for European models.
Engine Repair: Addressing issues related to the high-performance engines found in European vehicles, including tune-ups, component replacement, and complex engine overhauls.
Transmission Service and Repair: Expertise in automatic and manual transmissions common in European cars, including fluid changes and rebuilding.
Brake System Service: Comprehensive brake inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and fluid flushes, often using specific parts designed for European braking systems.
Suspension and Steering Repair: Working on sophisticated suspension systems (e.g., air suspension) and steering components typical of European luxury and performance cars.
Electrical System Repair: Diagnosing and repairing intricate electrical issues, including those related to infotainment systems, sensors, and vehicle control modules.
Pre-Purchase Inspections: Offering detailed inspections for prospective buyers of used European cars to assess their condition and identify potential issues.
Genuine and OEM Parts: Sourcing and installing genuine manufacturer parts or high-quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equivalent parts to ensure compatibility and performance for European vehicles.
Their specialization implies that they possess the knowledge and equipment to handle the unique engineering and technological demands of European automobiles, providing a local alternative to traveling to larger cities for specialized dealership service.
The features of Advanced European Automotive, based on customer feedback, present a mixed picture. A positive feature highlighted by one customer is their ability to perform "amazing job" on a car, making it "run like it's brand new." This suggests a high level of technical competence and effectiveness in delivering significant improvements to vehicle performance. The convenience of not having to "go all the way to Ventura to have work done" is also a key benefit, positioning them as a valuable local resource for specialized European car care. This indicates that "These guys know what they're doing," implying a strong technical capability for complex European vehicle issues.
However, another review details significant negative experiences, which also reveal crucial features of their service. The reported issues include:
Customer Service Concerns: The mechanic was described as "rude," and the manager, Janelle, as having an "instant attitude" and getting "pissy" when called for follow-up. This indicates potential issues with professionalism and customer interaction.
Lack of Transparency and Communication: The diagnostic data was hand-written and difficult to read, diagnosis codes were not provided, and communication was poor, with the customer being asked to leave and wait for a call that didn't come, leading to frustration and repeated follow-ups.
Inaccurate or Incomplete Diagnosis/Service: The car's idling was "pumped up" after service, which the shop didn't accept responsibility for, and the estimate had "fancy writing that I can't read," suggesting a lack of clarity in their documentation and potentially issues with the service performed.
Long Wait Times for Appointments: A two-week wait for a diagnostic appointment, even when the customer was the only one there, suggests inefficiency in scheduling or throughput.
These varied experiences suggest that while technical expertise for European cars might be present, consistency in customer service, clear communication, and diagnostic transparency appear to be areas where the business faces challenges. The $165 diagnostic fee, coupled with the reported lack of clear actionable information, can also be a significant point of concern for customers.
Specific promotional information for Advanced European Automotive is not available through general online searches. For a specialized auto repair shop, typical promotional strategies might include:
Specialization as a Promotion: The primary promotional aspect is their niche in servicing European vehicles, appealing directly to owners of brands like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc., who are looking for specialized expertise outside of dealership networks.
Word-of-Mouth: Positive experiences, like the one where a car ran "like brand new," generate powerful word-of-mouth referrals, which are crucial for specialized businesses.
Competitive Pricing (relative to dealerships): While not explicitly stated, independent European auto shops often promote themselves as more affordable alternatives to dealership service, which can be a significant draw.
Online Presence and Reviews: Their online presence, even with mixed reviews, serves as a form of promotion, allowing potential customers to find them and assess their services. Addressing negative feedback constructively online can also improve their public image.
The lack of clear, consistent positive feedback across all aspects of their service, particularly regarding communication and customer interaction, may limit the effectiveness of organic promotion and could necessitate more direct outreach or improvements in service delivery to ensure a consistently positive customer journey.
In conclusion, Advanced European Automotive in Bakersfield, CA, serves as a specialized Auto Repair Station for European vehicle owners, offering technical expertise for complex diagnostics and repairs. While they have demonstrated the ability to perform high-quality work on cars, leading to significant improvements, customer feedback indicates considerable inconsistency in service transparency, communication, and overall customer experience. Prospective customers for specialized European car service should weigh the reported technical capabilities against the significant concerns regarding customer interaction and clarity in their diagnostic and repair processes.

Advanced European Automotive Customer Reviews
I waited 2 weeks for a diagnostic appt. I was the only customer there. The young mechanic was rude, but hey, it's early in the morning, maybe not a morning person. The manager Janelle came in about 835am. and asked if I was leaving my car, I said no. Instant attitude from the mechanic and her. The mechanic took 40 minutes to diagnose my vehicle. He didn't enter the data in the computer, he hand wrote it. Janelle had a question about his diagnosis, but unfortunately, he was in the restroom and wasn't coming out. She asked me to leave, and she would call me with the information. I had to pay my $165.00. I waited 2 days and called back, and asked what was going on. I havre heard from you all. Janelle got pissy because I was bothering them... LOL...long story short. I got a written estimate with fancy writing that I can't read...LOL... no diagnose codes, and my car idling had been pumped up. I had to lower it again. They didn't accept responsibility for doing that. Bad service from the get-go .

Did an amazing job on my car. It runs like it's brand new. The best part is I don't have to go all the way to Ventura to have work done. These guys know what they're doing.

Horrible experience. WORST Customer Service! They NEVER update you on your vehicle. They diagnosed my 2019 Landrover Discovery needing a new timing chain. Made an appointment & took my car in. I had asked how long it would take & they said no more than 2 weeks. Well 3 months later I’m in a worst situation. I have a “new” timing chain BUT my car needs a new motor. They would ALWAYS give me the run around. The person that said they were the “Owner” was actually the manager. Owner passed away LAST YEAR. Finally when my car was ready to be picked up we did drove it 7 miles & stayed stranded on the freeway. A mechanic came out and DROVE my car back to the shop while it was misfiring because it was going to take too long for a tow truck & it was after 5pm. I had to file a complaint with Bureau Automotive Repair to actually get my refund. It would have been better if they would have been honest & told me they didn’t have time & they didn’t know how to do the job.

Had our 2013 Mercedes Benz GL550 in for an air coolant leak that other shops couldnt fix a few months back. They did an excellent job fixing that issue as well as an axle joint leak and have had no issues since the repair. The car was in their hands for awhile but made us aware and communicated when it would be ready as they seemed to be real busy. Will be taking our car there for future issues.

I have taken each of my cars to AEA for repairs. They have been timely and honest in their service. Finding an auto shop you can trust is challenging. I’m so glad I found them. Highly recommend!
