Advance Auto Parts Introduce

Advance Auto Parts, located at 308 Civic Center Dr in Augusta, ME 04330, USA, serves the local community as a prominent member of the Auto Repair Stations category, offering a vast inventory of auto parts, accessories, and potentially some related services or tools for sale. As a national chain, Advance Auto Parts aims to provide both professional mechanics and individual vehicle owners with the necessary components to maintain, repair, and upgrade their vehicles. For inquiries about their current stock or services, they can be reached at (207) 626-3023 or +1 207-626-3023.

As an auto parts store, the primary service of Advance Auto Parts is the retail sale of a wide array of automotive parts. This typically includes essential maintenance items such as oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs, belts, and hoses. They also stock replacement parts for various vehicle systems, including brakes (pads, rotors, calipers), batteries, starters, alternators, cooling system components (radiators, water pumps, thermostats), steering and suspension parts (shocks, struts, tie rods), and exhaust system components. Additionally, customers can usually find a selection of automotive fluids, chemicals, and accessories, such as motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, car cleaning supplies, and tools.

Beyond just selling parts, Advance Auto Parts often provides some value-added services to their customers. One common service is battery testing and installation. They typically have the equipment to check the health of a vehicle's battery and can often install a new battery purchased from their store. Another frequent service is the free loan-a-tool program, where customers can borrow specialized automotive tools for specific repair jobs, often with a refundable deposit. This can be particularly helpful for DIY mechanics who may not want to purchase expensive tools for a one-time use.

Advance Auto Parts stores are generally designed as retail environments with aisles organized by product type, making it easier for customers to locate the parts they need. They usually have a counter area where customers can place orders, ask for assistance in finding parts, and process returns or exchanges. The environment is typically well-lit and stocked with a wide variety of products on display. The availability of knowledgeable staff who can help customers identify the correct parts for their vehicles based on make, model, and year is a key feature of auto parts stores like Advance Auto Parts.

However, the provided customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on the service experience at this particular Advance Auto Parts location in Augusta, Maine. One reviewer, a frequent customer, generally has "a pretty good experience" but reported an "appalling attitude" from one female employee with a double nose piercing. This employee was described as "incredibly rude" and unhelpful when the customer needed bolts measured, leading the customer to abandon the request and only complete a return. The reviewer noted that "everyone else there seems to be wicked nice," suggesting that this might have been an isolated negative interaction.

The second review details a more significant issue involving a failed return and perceived poor customer service. The customer purchased the wrong set of lug nuts and immediately returned to the store to exchange them. Despite explaining the situation to the same clerk who sold them the parts and who remembered discarding the receipt, the store personnel, including a manager, were reportedly unable to process the return. The customer's attempts to find a reasonable solution, even offering to pay a small difference in price, were allegedly refused. The reviewer described the customer service as "dismal" and advised others to take their business elsewhere if possible. This review raises concerns about the store's return policies and the handling of customer service issues, particularly when system limitations are involved.

Given these contrasting experiences, it is important for local users to be aware of the potential for both positive and negative interactions at this Advance Auto Parts location. While some customers may find the parts selection and general service satisfactory, there is also a risk of encountering unhelpful staff or difficulties with returns. The mention of generally "wicked nice" employees alongside a report of rudeness suggests inconsistency in customer service quality.

Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not contain any details about specific discounts or special offers currently available at the Augusta store. Advance Auto Parts as a company frequently runs promotions, which can include discounts on specific product categories, seasonal sales, or loyalty programs for frequent customers. These promotions are often advertised in their flyers, online, or in-store. Local users are advised to check the Advance Auto Parts website or inquire in-store about any current promotions to potentially save money on their purchases.

In conclusion, Advance Auto Parts in Augusta, Maine, serves as a local Auto Repair Station by providing a wide range of auto parts and accessories. While one frequent customer generally has positive experiences, recent feedback highlights significant concerns about customer service in specific instances, particularly regarding returns and employee attitude. Local users may find the store to have a good selection of parts and potentially helpful staff, but should also be aware of the reported negative experiences. For information on current promotions or specific product availability, contacting the store directly at (207) 626-3023 is recommended. As with any retail establishment, individual experiences can vary, and it may be beneficial to consider these recent reviews when deciding where to purchase auto parts in the Augusta area.

Advance Auto Parts Customer Reviews

Normally I have a pretty good experience at this store, and visit it frequently, however I just left and am appalled at the attitude from one of the female employees. I didn’t catch her name, but she had a double nose piercing. I needed two bolts measured and needed to make a return. She huffed and puffed so much about the bolts that I just did the return instead and left. She was incredibly rude, threw my bolts around and did not have good customer service in the slightest. Everyone else there seems to be wicked nice, I’m not sure what the hell her deal was though.

My sons car blew a tire on the interstate and the local tire shop only had a rim requiring the use of splined lug nuts. I walked into the Augusta Advance Auto store and picked up what I thought was the correct set. I purchased the lug nuts from the clerk and she asked if I wanted a receipt, being in a hurry I said no. She said no problem I will toss it into the trash. After returning to the car I quickly realized I had grabbed the incorrect lug set. I immediately returned to the store, and explained to the same clerk what had happened, and that I needed to exchange the set. She immediately retrieved my receipt and started a return. After several attempts she called her coworker whom I assume was the store manager to assist her. The store manager could not complete the return either. They told me that they could not complete the refund and I would need to purchase another set for an additional $40. I attempted to reason with them the difference in price was $4.50, I offered to pay them $5 dollars in cash with the incorrect lug nuts so that the manger could sort out the return at a later date and I would not need to return to the store. I was disappointed that they refused, explaining to me that it was not their fault. I said well it’s not my fault your computer is not working. They continued to refuse the return and forced me to purchase the additional parts which I desperately needed to get the car out of the road and back home. Dismal customer service, rude comments muttered by the clerk, take your buisness somewhere else if you can.

Absolutely horrible service! The woman was more worried about whether her boyfriend picked up her cigarettes than any customers.

Everything is pricey in Bidens America, but it was nice to receive good treatment and a discount code to make it feel a little better!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Incompetent and disrespectful staff. Scam artists who will not let you return parts even with proper receipts. DO NOT PURCHASE PARTS.
