I dropped my vehicle off to have work done. Ben was the gentleman that I’ve dealt with, don’t know if he’s the owner or what but he took off before bringing my vehicle into the his yard. Ben proceeded to call me later that afternoon stating that he could not find my keys. After multiple calls I decided to have a locksmith come open the vehicle to check for keys, no luck! Knowing the area this shop is located, I could not leave my vehicle in the street so I had to have a tow truck come deliver it to my house.Ben denied ever having the keys, but 2 days later he said he found them. Ben would not pay for the locksmith or tow because I did not leave my vehicle with him to be worked on. Can’t trust a guy like that who won’t take responsibility for his mistake. Do not bring your vehicle here. Update after business’s reply: This comment should show potential customers that this man has poor customer service and quite frankly, a lack of character. Why would I let you drag my vehicle with a uhaul trailer, that I brought in for a locked center differential? So you can then scam me for a transmission or some other issue that was not present before. I’m not going to give you my business if you can’t retain simple possession of the keys. If you were unaware sir, vehicles are also broken into and stolen in our city all of the time. Your failure to pull my vehicle into your yard before your errand also shows that you have poor business practices and a lack of concern for customer’s property. Mistakes happen, but denial of accountability privately, then attempting to maintain a good appearance publicly is just sad. A simple apology instead of being upset that I’m taking my business elsewhere would have sufficed. Reimbursement for the issue the you caused would have been better but you wanted to get ugly, so this review is for everyone to see, that is on you, sir.

Ben is one of the nicest, best mechanics I’ve met. He helped me in a pinch with my ac and while helping me offered to work late (on a 104 degree Friday afternoon) for another customer. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Called to take my car in to be seen, owner said to come in the following Monday. I have a tight work schedule, so I had to take time off to drive my car over. When I got there, lights were off and nobody was there. I waited for twenty minutes, called, no answer. I got a text message after I left saying to just leave the car on the lot. I wasn’t comfortable just leaving my car and keys there without a staff member… Ended up going to a different place. Owner seems very kind. I’m sure his auto services are great, but I was really disappointed by the customer service.

Highly recommend this business! Ben was very helpful, walking us through the steps needed to diagnose and repair our transmission. He stayed late and went the extra mile to help us get back on the road, which was greatly appreciated. Very knowledgeable and friendly, Ben made our car trouble less stressful.

ABQ Transmission & Auto Repair helped me when my car broke down unexpectedly. Ben was more than happy to take my car in and find out what was wrong with it, he even checked in when my tow was taking too long and I had not arrived yet. He addressed the issue, was very informative and honest with pricing, and answered all my questions. What I thought to be a transmission issue was actually a crankshaft sensor, Ben saved me a lot of money with his thorough inspection and diagnosis. I got my car back running better than it has in a while and a new mechanic that I can count on for any future maintenance/repairs. I highly recommend ABQ Transmission! Ben Delgado is an excellent mechanic with outstanding troubleshooting skills. He has solved difficult-to-diagnose problems for us and kept our aging, but well loved, fleet on their wheels. Ben is honest-he will tell you when he believes a repair isn't worth it, and that is worth its weight in gold.
