Told me exactly the time it would take to complete the job and advised on additional parts that were needed that did not come in the Clutch and Flywheel kit I brought in. Amazing guy to work with and very honest. Car is driving better than before!

Recently started having serious problems with an older Nissan - AAMCO did a free diagnostic and confirmed my fear that the CVT needed to be rebuilt, and they quoted me about $5k to do it. That was more than I was willing to pay to fix this car, but I took it to another shop to confirm before I scrapped it. The other shop quoted me $7k for the same job. John struck me a class act, and I would have been glad to work with the shop if the car had been worth the effort.

Awesome experience here. Originally from the Midwest and new to CA - this place reminded me of home. Friendly, honest & accommodating. John and his team quickly got my car in initially for 1 issue, but were then able to correct another. Price was fair & they offer a military discount. This will be my go-to shop from now on!

I brought my truck into AAMCO because it was shifting hard and missing and searching for gears. John greeted me with a smile and was really cool. I had an extended warranty with Endurance and he went above and beyond his obligation to see the claim through until the end. AAMCO eventually got authorization to do a full rebuild of my Tranny and it’s working great! I couldn’t be more happy with the service I received from John and the crew at AAMCO Escondido. The mechanics & staff are the best! They get you in and out in an amazingly short time and only perform what is needed. Never (and I know you're never supposed to say never) have they tried to sell me on services I don't need. I've begged them to replace my my brake pads for at least the last 25,000 miles and they have refused saying I still have plenty of wear left. I love John who always answers the phone with a smile and gives the best customer service! Run, don't walk to this business. It's so rare to find someone you can trust!

I live out of state now and my automotive contacts are very outdated. Had transmission and one other problem visiting town and a friend recommended them. I consider myself distrustful of most places. But these guys have me a fair price and did a great job of fixing the problem quickly. Seemed very customer service oriented. They also had a like minded shop near by who was able to fix problem number two! Seems like a good business location who works hard and seems to care. Kinda hard to find these days. I am grateful and I am keeping their number. I don’t recommend a lot of people, but this time I do!

I was driving North on the 15 freeway and my car broke down. I was close to the Valley Pkwy exit so I pulled off and was able to get my vehicle to this shop. After a complimentary inspection, John and his team let me know that the vehicle was undriveable and would need to be taken elsewhere for a costly repair. I was stranded without a vehicle, far from home. John - the GM - was very fair and kind and allowed me to leave the vehicle, gather my thoughts and make a plan. He is a good person and an honest business man. I hope to never be in a similar situation but I recommend them 10/10 to anyone in need of service in the Escondido area. Kars 4 Kids is getting another vehicle donation due to John's kindness and fairness.
