AAA - Asheville

DO NOT GO HERE. Pros: They are super nice and professional. Cons: They are super nice because they are ROBBING people blind. I had my truck towed there and they essentially charged me $1,000 for spark plugs and minor wiring and didn't notice my radiator was completely shot, which ended up stranding me on the side of the highway and destroying my engine. I knew I was being taken advantage of, but I had no choice because my mechanic couldn't take me for weeks and the hurricane closed a lot of other shops down. I will tell everyone to avoid this place.

Until our last visit we were pleased with AAA car service. Last visit to repair wiring connection on headlights we were charged 2 hours labor for a job that probably took 30-45 minutes. $380.00 and we furnished to headlight connection plugs.

My car has been to this shop two times within the last year or so. The staff is really friendly but beware even if you have a AAA membership they cap the discount at $100 dollars. I had to take my car back after my second visit due to them not repairing my car correct. They did take care of the issue and apologize but they are way more expensive than other places.

I am a big fan of AAA. We ve had several different cars serviced here over the past 7 years and we ve always been satisfied. Most recently we took a teardrop trailer tire in to be replaced because it was worn only on the inside part. The tech correctly diagnosed the problem as it was slightly canted toward the inside causing the tire to wear unevenly. The tire was ordered and ready the next day - a member disc was given and we were happy to pay a total of just $113. 00. If you are searching for a mechanic I highly recommend AAA. We haven’t used their travel services so I can’t comment on that aspect.

I was on vacation and drove through a bad rainstorm causing what I thought was damage to the underside of my car. Brought it in last minute on a Friday evening, we needed to leave for home that weekend. Despite having a number of vehicles to get through, the front desk was reassuring. They were able to perform an inspection of my brakes and let me know the next day the vehicle was safe to drive. Didn’t charge anything either. Amazing service.

I have heard very good things about this location and the staff. I went into get a vehicle inspection on a Saturday early. And they did not have appointments, but they clearly indicated this and were very professional about it. They offer to make an appointment for about a week later. Which I could not accommodate but I thanked them. Kindly and told them I'd be back for any service work that I needed due to good reviews from a local online social network Called next door. 😀

We had a car emergency on our road trip. We pulled in here and were out again with everything fixed in less than two hours. The facilities were clean and the customer service was great! The mechanics were very knowledgeable and gracious!

MOST fabulous professional friendly and highly qualified and informative automotive experience with Ian at AAA on Merrimone Ave. PLUS upon inspection found the battery they installed 2-4 years ago was incorrect and replaced with a new battery at NO CHARGE! I have been a member for roadside for many years because they are the best. Wow… this is my new go to place for all automotive needs! AAA automotive can’t be beat.
