A Mosher Auto Introduce

A Mosher Auto, located at 24737 Haskell St, Taylor, MI 48180, USA, operates as an auto repair station serving the local community. They can be reached via phone at (313) 291-3027 or mobile at +1 313-291-3027. This establishment, like many independent auto repair shops, aims to provide automotive services for vehicle owners in the Taylor area. Information regarding this business is primarily derived from customer experiences shared online, which offer a glimpse into their operations and customer relations.

The **environment** of A Mosher Auto, typical of many smaller, independent auto repair stations, is likely focused on functionality. The premises would include a garage area with one or more service bays, equipped with lifts, tools, and diagnostic equipment necessary for vehicle repairs. There would typically be a reception or office area where customers can check in, discuss their vehicle issues, and handle payments. While specific details on the cleanliness or aesthetics of the shop's interior are not explicitly provided in the available information, the operational nature of an auto repair facility suggests a practical layout designed to facilitate repairs. The overall atmosphere and professionalism of the establishment are often perceived through the interactions between staff and customers, as highlighted by online reviews.

As an **auto repair station**, A Mosher Auto is expected to provide a range of general automotive repair services. Based on the customer review, the shop handles more intricate electrical issues, specifically the installation of an "external voltage regulator to fix a problem with the ecm." This suggests a capability in dealing with modern vehicle electronics and computer systems, which are increasingly complex. Beyond this specific example, a typical auto repair shop like A Mosher Auto would generally offer services that include, but are not limited to:

  • **Engine diagnostics and repair:** Addressing issues related to vehicle performance, check engine lights, and internal engine components.
  • **Electrical system repair:** Troubleshooting and fixing problems with wiring, alternators, starters, batteries, and various electronic modules.
  • **Brake services:** Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake fluid.
  • **Suspension and steering repair:** Addressing issues with shocks, struts, ball joints, and power steering for vehicle handling and ride comfort.
  • **Fluid services:** Oil changes, transmission fluid flushes, coolant flushes, and other essential fluid maintenance.
  • **General maintenance:** Tire rotations, filter replacements, and preventative checks.
The focus on electrical components, as evidenced by the mentioned repair, indicates a specialized skill set in that area, which can be valuable for owners of modern vehicles that are heavily reliant on electronic control units.

The **features** of A Mosher Auto, as gleaned from customer feedback, present a mixed picture. One review highlights "Exceptional mechanical knowledge," which is a crucial attribute for any auto repair professional. This suggests that the mechanics, including Andy, possess the technical expertise to diagnose and attempt to resolve complex vehicle problems. However, another significant feature that emerges is related to customer service and communication. The negative review explicitly mentions a "horrible way of dealing with customers when told his work isn't to expectations" and an "ungrateful tone when answering calls" from the wife who answers the phone. This indicates a potential inconsistency in customer interaction, where the mechanical skill might be strong, but the handling of customer concerns, especially when repairs do not fully resolve the issue, could be an area of concern. The experience described, where a follow-up call about an unresolved problem led to the mechanic hanging up, highlights a challenge in client relations and a perceived lack of accountability in some instances. For a local auto repair station, customer service and the ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues are as important as technical proficiency in building long-term trust and a positive reputation. The mention of "Andy" implies that he is a key figure in the operation, possibly the owner or lead mechanic, and his approach to customer interaction is a defining characteristic of the business.

Regarding **promotional information**, the available details do not include specific advertisements or deals from A Mosher Auto. In the context of an independent auto repair shop, promotions are often less structured than large dealerships or chain stores. Instead, they might rely heavily on word-of-mouth and customer satisfaction. However, given the mixed reviews, the most effective promotion for A Mosher Auto would involve addressing the concerns raised in the negative feedback. Typically, an auto repair station would promote its services through:

  • **Local advertising:** This could include ads in community newspapers, local online directories, or flyers.
  • **Referral programs:** Encouraging satisfied customers to refer new clients.
  • **Service guarantees:** Offering warranties on parts and labor to build customer confidence.
  • **Special offers:** Discounts on common services like oil changes, brake inspections, or seasonal maintenance checks.
  • **Online presence:** Maintaining an updated website or social media page showcasing services, positive testimonials (if available), and contact information.
  • **Building a strong reputation:** By consistently delivering reliable repairs and excellent customer service, ensuring that positive word-of-mouth becomes the primary form of promotion.
For A Mosher Auto, specifically, prioritizing improved communication and customer dispute resolution would significantly enhance their public image and serve as a powerful form of promotion, encouraging more positive reviews and repeat business. Directly addressing and rectifying issues when a repair doesn't meet expectations, and maintaining a consistently friendly and helpful demeanor, are crucial steps for any service-based business. The stark contrast between "Exceptional mechanical knowledge" and "horrible way of dealing with customers" suggests that focusing on the latter could unlock significant promotional benefits through improved customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, A Mosher Auto at 24737 Haskell St, Taylor, MI 48180, USA, is an auto repair station with demonstrated technical capabilities, particularly in complex electrical issues. The environment is typical of an independent repair shop, focused on operational efficiency. A key feature is the "Exceptional mechanical knowledge" of its staff, such as Andy. However, based on customer reviews, the shop faces challenges in customer relations, specifically regarding communication and handling of unresolved issues, which can impact overall customer satisfaction and their public image. While no specific promotional offers are listed, for A Mosher Auto, the most impactful promotion would stem from a consistent commitment to transparent communication, effective problem resolution, and a uniformly positive customer service experience, complementing their mechanical expertise.

A Mosher Auto Customer Reviews

Had him fix a problem I was having so he installed an external voltage regulator to fix a problem with the ecm. Called him today to let him know it didnt resolve the issue and told him it created a new one the day I got it done. He wasnt able to fix the new problem and got irritated by me insisting it be done correctly so the computer warning alarm didnt go off constantly. Today I needed to find out how much he would charge to remove it because the place working on it doesn't want to mess with it due to it being tapped into the main harness. When I told andy his fix didn't work and it needed to be removed he hung up and didnt answer 2 seconds afterwards. This guy has a horrible way of dealing with customers when told his work isnt to expectations. His wife has an ungrateful tone when answering calls and I wouldn't recommend anyone to them. Hopefully I can find someone to fix his mess without replacing the entire harness.
