Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

However, it is crucial for potential customers in Pennsylvania to be fully aware of the experiences shared by previous patrons, particularly concerning payment processing and pump efficiency. Reviews indicate instances of concerns regarding potential double charges and slow pump speeds. While such issues can occur at any establishment, it is prudent for customers to exercise caution:

  • Regarding Payment: Always monitor your bank or credit card statements closely after making a purchase, especially at gas pumps. If you notice a duplicate charge or a pending hold that seems unusually high or prolonged, contact your bank or credit card company immediately to dispute the charge. It is generally recommended to use a credit card for gas purchases, as credit cards often offer better fraud protection than debit cards. If using a debit card, consider running it as a credit card (selecting "credit" at the pump) to avoid entering your PIN, which adds an extra layer of security against skimmers.
  • Checking for Skimmers: Before inserting your card, visually inspect the card reader and keypad. Look for anything loose, crooked, or that doesn't seem to belong. Give the card reader a gentle tug to see if it moves. Cover the keypad with your hand when entering your PIN. If anything feels suspicious, it's best to use a different pump or pay inside the store.
  • Pump Speed: Be prepared that some pumps may operate slower than others, potentially extending your fueling time. This might be a consideration during peak hours if you are on a tight schedule.

By keeping these points in mind, locals can make an informed decision when choosing York FUEL STOP for their fueling needs, leveraging its convenient location while also practicing vigilance for their financial security and managing their time effectively.

You can't pay at the pump which is extremely annoying

I think this is the best gas station in town , i typically don’t go inside but I had to last month . The pump would not let my card go so I went in to ask the register dude for someone help . He came outside trying to help me over like 4/5 times . He would leave his spot , mind you he was the only employee there that day , but he still tried to come out and help even when I thought he had forgotten about me he would appear like Batman all of a sudden . Longer story short , he asked another dude at a pump if he had pliers , and he did . He let me borrow it and that was the end of that . Card retrieved . It was really nice of the register dude to had not given up on the situation and on a customer . He definitely earned my respect .

Good price, watch for card Skimmers like most 'ghetto' parts of town. If you're not here to cause trouble, then I recommend fueling here...
