Wawa Introduce

For anyone living in or traveling through New Jersey, especially in the vibrant Glassboro area, the name Wawa evokes a sense of comfort, convenience, and quality. More than just a gas station, Wawa has become an iconic part of the local landscape, deeply woven into the daily routines of countless New Jersey residents. This article will delve into what makes the Wawa at 629 Delsea Dr N in Glassboro a "Super Wawa" and an essential stop for locals, offering a comprehensive look at its history, extensive services, and unique features, all from the perspective of a New Jersey user.

Wawa's story began in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey. However, its modern identity as a beloved convenience store chain with gas stations started in the early 20th century. In 1902, the Wawa Dairy Farm was established in Wawa, Pennsylvania, providing "doctor certified" milk through home delivery. As consumer habits shifted in the 1960s, Wawa adapted by opening its first Wawa Food Market in Folsom, PA, in 1964, as an outlet for their dairy products. Since then, Wawa has expanded significantly, with over 645 stores across several East Coast states, including a strong presence in New Jersey. The term "Super Wawa" typically refers to the larger format stores that were introduced in 1994, which include gasoline pumps, more parking, and often a more extensive selection of food and services than the traditional Wawa Food Markets. The Glassboro location at 629 Delsea Dr N embodies this "Super Wawa" concept, serving as a comprehensive one-stop shop for fuel, fresh food, and everyday essentials.

Location and Accessibility

The Wawa in Glassboro is conveniently located at 629 Delsea Dr N, Glassboro, NJ 08028, USA. Its strategic position on Delsea Drive (Route 47), a major artery in Gloucester County, makes it incredibly accessible for local residents, students of Rowan University, and commuters traversing South Jersey. The "Super Wawa" designation means it typically offers ample parking, which is a significant advantage, especially during peak hours. As one customer noted, despite it always being "busy," there is "plenty of parking." The design usually allows for easy entry and exit, facilitating a smooth experience for drivers, which is particularly important in New Jersey with its full-service gas mandate. Whether you're heading to work, dropping off kids at school, or embarking on a weekend trip down the shore, this Wawa's prime location ensures it's a convenient and quick stop.

Busy store on Easter Sunday 2025. They don't have chocolate milkshake flavor on their menu and I thought that was strange.

Love this Super Wawa. Great stop for gas and coffee and much more. It’s always busy but there is plenty of parking and they usually have 2 or 3 registers operating so the lines keep moving. Friendly service attendants!

Out sandwiches came on stale hard rolls and what's with the nasty girl attitudes? Like just do your job and be kind!

The bathroom is disgusting as usual, urine on the floor, sink dirty and again no soap in the dispenser. Why would I ever order food from these disgusting people not washing their hands? 9:45pm 11/5/2024

The Lady who works making the drinks during the time of 8:15 today February 19th deserves a raise! I come in multiple times during the week and she makes my cream smoothies. Not only does she always get it right but they are also picture perfect. She is amazing at what she does and little things like that make peoples day!
